Abstract

This article is a theoretical study of the development of formative evaluation in 5th grade students at SDN Poris Pelawad 5. This study aims to find out and describe empirically about: Aspects, techniques and procedures for class assessment carried out by teachers and students in 5th grade at SDN Poris Pelawad 5. Educators' use of assessment tools is crucial to the success of their lessons. Teachers' abilities to manage their classrooms effectively and to select instructional strategies, media, materials, etc. that will inspire their pupils to learn can be enhanced through evaluation. And also, teachers can gauge their pupils' progress through evaluation. Hence, teachers need to ensure that assessment procedures are carried out effectively. Assessment, assessment methods, and assessment procedures are all part of the Scriven-created formative evaluation paradigm used in this qualitative study. The ADDIE model is an all-purpose instructional design framework that may be applied to both face-to-face learning settings and online learning environments. Abstract

This research is motivated by class problems regarding the lack of student motivation in learning biology learning outcomes experienced by students. Corrective action learning is carried out to solve problems by applying a problem-based learning model. The problem-based learning model is a model of learning activities in which the process of implementing learning goes through the following steps, first by observing, asking, exploring, associating and communicating. Both in this learning model describe everything that exists in our environment, especially those related to subject matter objects, so that learning becomes meaningful, and can develop student learning outcomes. By implementing the learning model in biology subjects as a learning method, it can be seen that there is a correlation of learning motivation and has shown a satisfactory increase in learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of study habits on the learning outcomes of 11th-grade Tax Administration subjects among public vocational high school students in East Jakarta. The method used is a quantitative approach, employing proportional random sampling, resulting in a research sample of 122 students. Path analysis and hypothesis testing, including the T test, were utilized for data analysis. The study's findings reveal several significant relationships: there is a positive and significant influence between learning habits and learning outcomes, as well as between learning habits and learning motivation. However, no significant influence was found between learning motivation and learning outcomes, nor between learning habits and learning outcomes through learning motivation. These results indicate that higher levels of learning habits lead to better learning outcomes, and vice versa. Similarly, stronger study habits correlate with increased learning motivation, and vice versa. The research also reveals that student learning outcomes fall into the high category, while learning habits and learning motivation are in the medium category.

Abstract

Assessment in the context of learning has an important role in influencing student motivation and engagement. Effective assessment can have a significant positive impact on student's motivation to learn and their level of engagement in the learning process. Through formative assessments that provide constructive and informative feedback, students can correct their shortcomings and see their progress first-hand, which directly influences their motivation to continuously strive to improve achievement. Assessments that reward and recognize students' achievements can also increase their motivation. In addition, assessments that actively involve students in the assessment process, such as project- or portfolio-based assessments, and assessments that encourage social interaction, can increase student engagement. However, it is important to ensure that effective assessment is fair, objective, and differentiated so that each student gets feedback that is relevant to their needs and level of development. In conclusion, effective assessment should be viewed as a learning tool that encourages student motivation and engagement in the learning process.
