Abstract

This research aims to analyze the trend of graduate profiles of Islamic religious education study programs in Indonesia and how it is relevant to the objectives of choosing an Islamic religious education study program for prospective students. This research used a qualitative approach with a meta-synthesis type of research with a meta-aggregation model. The data source was the 75 Islamic religious education study program websites throughout Indonesia. The research results show the trend of graduate profiles. Indonesia's Islamic religious education study program focuses not on religious deepening but on the social field of education. There are only 3 things in the religious field: being a da'i, hafiz, and Hajj guide. So, there is no visible relevance of the graduate profiles Islamic religious education study program with the aim of prospective students to select an Islamic religious education study program who want to deepen their knowledge of the Islamic religion or learn to recite al-Qur’an. This research provides an overview in compiling graduate profiles of Islamic religious education in Indonesia and as a reference for selecting Islamic religious education study programs for the community.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the Head of Madrasah performs the dimensions of transformational leadership through the Quran learning program to improve competitiveness in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Islamiyah Ngoro Jombang. This research used the field and case study qualitative methods. The research results show that this leadership dimension includes the following: (1) idealized influence: socializing the vision, mission, and goals of Quranic learning consistently; (2) inspirational motivation: inspiring and motivating the performance of educators to consistently maintain the quality of Quranic learning; (3) intellectual stimulation: understanding internal weaknesses and external threats from various perspectives to find solutions; and (4) individualized consideration: receiving suggestions, criticisms, and complaints about the Quranic learning process and having direct dialogue with educators and parents. Implementing transformational leadership in madrasah, especially in Quranic learning, can improve the competitiveness of educational institutions. These transformational leadership attitudes make a significant contribution to developing Islamic educational institutions and increasing their competitiveness.

Abstract

This research analyzes theories and strategies for increasing teacher competency through academic supervision. This research used a qualitative literature review method. The collected articles were selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 120 relevant books and articles. The document findings were then analyzed and sorted into three main topics: educational supervision, teacher competency, and the era of society 5.0. After grouping the data based on the themes above, 10 articles and books were found on topics related to educational supervision, 10 articles and books on teacher competency, and 5 on the era of society 5.0. The research results show that school (madrasah) principals must have expertise and seriousness in supervising educational institutions, especially academic supervision, which aims to improve teacher competence. Academic supervision involves planning, implementation, and evaluation with the principles of objectivity and continuous improvement. With this research, it is hoped that it can be used as a model for effective academic supervision by school principals and teachers in the information technology era.

Abstract

This research analyzes social empowerment through the Eco-Pesantren program at PPTQ Al-Munawwaroh. A descriptive-exploratory approach was employed, with data obtained through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The researchers analyzed the data using the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results show that social empowerment through the program is achieved over several stages: (1) awareness through the socialization of the importance of maintaining environmental sustainability; (2) capacity development through training in managing the environment and waste; and (3) society empowerment through various programs oriented towards environmental sustainability. These programs included information on (1) the fruit and vegetable village; (2) waste bank; (3) organic waste terminal and biopore composter; (4) one student one eco brick; and (5) the movement to switch off TVs and electrical equipment from Maghrib to Isyak. The program is essential in bridging ecological activities at the grassroots level between the pesantren and surrounding communities.

The researchers obtained the data from observation and interviews involving the students, teachers, vice principal, and headmaster. It investigated the teaching-learning methods and evaluation of the learning process. This study's results showed that four methods were used to internalize the values of religious moderation. They were the cooperation of the school elements, the learning process, strengthening the values in each student's activities, and the other activities, such as field trips. The evaluation of the internalization of religious moderation values in schools can be done through three evaluations. Formulating the four methods and three learning evaluations can be a model for learning religious moderation. Based on the research results, this research contributes to such a way that the school can adapt to internalize the values of religious moderation to the students.

Abstract

This study investigates the difference between the utility of general higher education (GHE) and Islamic higher education (IHE), students' enrolment intention, and their correlation. Data were collected using questionnaires. The participants of this study were 753 students in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Researchers used convenience and snowballing sampling techniques. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Spearman's correlation. This study proves that the level of utility and all its factors (economic and non-economic benefit, probability of success, and cost) differ significantly between GHE and IHE (Sig<0.05). Moreover, it was found that all factors correlate with enrolment intention (Sig<0.05). However, correlation coefficients indicate that the cost of GHE and IHE  is the factor with the weakest correlation (p=0,139 and p=0.084) with enrolment intention. The strongest correlation with enrolment intention is the utility of GHE and IHE (p=0,597 and p=0.579) and the possibility of success in GHE and IHE(p=0,614 and p=0.530). This study offers practical recommendations for higher education institutions and suggests future research.

Education management information systems are essential in managing educational institutions, especially schools. It is for effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy to improve school quality. This research utilises a quantitative descriptive methodology in order to objectively describe the relationship between variables. The data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The researchers found that the relationship between the management information system based on the Rapor Digital Madrasah (RDM) and the Quality of Madrasah Education has a significant relationship with a sig. correlation value of 0.497. The higher the management information system based on RDM, the higher the Madrasah Education Quality. Then, looking at the coefficient of determination means that the contribution of the variable management information system based on the RDM to the Quality of Madrasah Education is 24.7%; other factors influence the rest.
