Abstract

This article examines the critical role of civil legal assistance in protecting the rights of vulnerable populations, including women, children, indigenous peoples, and persons with disabilities. Despite existing legal frameworks and recent advancements in legal aid provision, significant barriers persist that hinder access to justice for these groups. Through a qualitative analysis of recent literature and case studies from various regions, this study highlights successful models of community-based legal aid initiatives and the impact of non-governmental organizations in promoting social justice. The findings underscore the importance of increasing funding, raising public awareness, and utilizing technology to enhance access to legal resources. By addressing these challenges and implementing effective strategies, societies can ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, have the opportunity to assert their rights and seek justice. This article aims to contribute to ongoing discussions about equitable access to legal services and the necessity of empowering marginalized communities within the broader framework of human rights.

Abstract

This qualitative study examines the role of community service programs in enhancing teaching competencies for educators in remote regions. Drawing on case studies from Indonesia, Tanzania, and the United States, the research highlights how collaborative, community-driven initiatives address systemic challenges such as resource shortages, professional isolation, and inequitable access to training. Findings emphasize the importance of localized pedagogical strategies, sustained mentorship, and multi-stakeholder partnerships in fostering teacher resilience and improving educational outcomes. Through in-depth interviews with teachers and program facilitators, as well as participant observations, this study reveals that effective community service programs not only enhance teaching skills but also promote a sense of belonging and commitment among educators. The data indicates that when teachers are actively involved in their communities, they are more likely to adopt innovative teaching practices that resonate with local cultures and needs. The implications of this research suggest that policymakers should prioritize funding and support for community service initiatives as a viable strategy for professional development in remote areas. By leveraging local knowledge and resources, these programs can create sustainable improvements in education quality, ultimately leading to better student performance and community engagement.

Abstract

Cyberbullying or intimidation in cyberspace has become an increasingly disturbing phenomenon in the current digital era. With increasingly widespread access to online platforms, these actions threaten the emotional well-being of individuals, especially young people. This service reviews the negative impact of cyberbullying on the victim's mental health, such as stress, anxiety, depression, and even the potential for suicide, increasing legal awareness regarding cyberbullying both in civil aspects and statutory regulations. Factors such as anonymity and the vast reach of the internet complicate prevention efforts. Therefore, there is a need for cooperation between parents, educators and online platforms in creating a safe and educational environment for users, as well as implementing stricter regulations to protect individuals from the negative impacts of cyberbullying. This activity aims to provide outreach regarding cyberbullying. The methods used are field surveys, outreach and evaluation. It is hoped that the results of this outreach activity will increase legal awareness. Socialization about cyberbullying at Sriwedari Malang Middle School is an important step to equip students with the understanding and skills needed to deal with cyberspace wisely and responsibly.

Abstract

Bagang is one of the traditional fishing tools used by fishermen, especially in coastal areas. However, manual bagang operations often face obstacles such as dependence on weather conditions, distance and limited human resources. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to develop a prototype of a remote bagang controller based on Internet of Thing (IoT) technology. This prototype is designed to allow fishermen to monitor and control bagang operations in real-time via mobile devices. This system consists of an ESP32 microcontroller, L298N motor driver and an integrated Android Smartphone to control bagang. The test results show that this prototype is able to operate stably at a certain distance, provide a fast response, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of bagang management. With this technology, it is expected to help fishermen increase catch productivity and reduce operational costs.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide polite political education to students related to the current political year situation. This is considered important because political literacy that is still low will make them feel full of guidance. In the end, many of them just participate in politics without paying attention to the good or bad. The service method used in this community service is ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) with the main asset being the students of the Majlis Ta'lim Al-hikmah Islamic Boarding School (PERMATA) who are potential novice voters. The practice of service starts from observation, FGD, socialization, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the service concluded that one way to provide an understanding of polite politics to students in Pati Regency is to provide education related to what polite politics is, its practices, and how to apply it. This method can also provide understanding to students regarding what can and cannot be done to implement political actions in a polite manner. That polite politics is higher than just practical politics that is dirty and legalizes all means.

Abstract

Science learning in early childhood is an important part in developing critical and exploratory thinking skills. This research aims to determine the effect of assistance with color mixing activities on improving science skills in group B children at an early childhood education institution. The method used is a qualitative approach with observation and interviews as data collection techniques. The results of the research show that through color mixing activities, children are more enthusiastic in learning and are able to understand the basic concepts of mixing primary and secondary colors. Apart from that, they also develop logical thinking skills, observe color changes, and increase curiosity about simple scientific phenomena. Assistance provided by teachers or educators also plays a role in guiding children to be more active and independent in exploring colors. The conclusion of this research is that color mixing activities can be an effective science learning strategy for young children. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to apply simple experiment-based learning methods more often to improve children's learning experiences.
