Abstract

Jamu is a traditional medicine that can increase endurance. The use of abundant medicinal plants in Indonesia is currently being developed by the community in preventing and overcoming the Covid-19 case. One of them is by the people of Ngunut Village, Dander District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. So that in this case education and training in the manufacture of traditional herbal medicine are given to the people of Ngunut Village, especially among women. The results of the education show that the residents of Ngunut village can process traditional herbal medicine in the form of powder using ginger, as the main ingredient which is then called millineal herbal medicine. In addition, the public response to the educational agenda and training in making millineal herbal medicine is very encouraging. This is evidenced by the higher agree points than the other option

Abstract

This community service activity is in partnership with the Hargomulyo District/Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes).. The problems being addressed include the unavailability of natural zeolite rock crushing machine equipment to produce zeolite sand. This activity aims to provide a small-capacity natural zeolite rock crushing machine and train machine operations to produce zeolite sand. Considering the expensive new machines and limited funds, procuring rock crushing machines was carried out by upgrading used rock crushing machines in a workshop. The crushing machine has a chopper, a driving motor powered by a generator, and a sieve for the crushed rock with three-grain sizes. Operational trials of the rock chopping machine show that the machine can produce natural zeolite sand with three-grain sizes. Furthermore, operational training on natural zeolite crushing machines was carried out, which was attended by 20 participants from the Hargomulyo community. This training can increase the empowerment of training participants. The observations during the training showed that 90% of participants could operate a rock-crushing machine to produce natural zeolite sand.

Abstract

Bulo Village is in South Tabukan, Sangihe Islands, North Sulawesi. One of the potential natural resources of Bulo Village that has yet to be utilized is mangrove leaves. Mangrove leaves can be used in processed food products, such as chips. This community service aims to transfer science and technology to increase the economic value of mangrove plants by diversifying food products in the form of mangrove leaf-based chips. This community service activity was carried out in several stages: 1). Location survey and mangrove species identification; 2). Formation of business groups; 3). training and mentoring in the production of KIPMANG-Mangrove Leaf Chips; 4). Education on simple business analysis of KIPMANG products. The identification results showed that the dominant type of mangrove, Rhizophora sp., grows in the Bulo Village. Kapitalaung recommended that the 12 Bulo community join the mangrove leaf chips business group. The business group can produce and package KIPMANG with original and balado variants. The business group also understands the principles of business analysis of KIPMANG products. This community service activity can increase the knowledge and skills of the Bulo community. It can also improve the economy of the coastal communities of Bulo Village through village-owned business groups.

Abstract

As the prices of all necessities increase, people are asked to be creative in meeting their daily needs. Apart from saving money and managing finances well, people can be empowered by providing their own basic needs. Therefore, community service is carried out in the Air Tawar Timur Village, namely making clothes washing soap and dish washing soap by providing samples, providing free samples and materials. Abstract

Total Quality Management (TQM) merupakan sebuah pendekatan manajemen yang lebih fokus terhadap pelaksanaan semua fungsi organisasi secara terintegrasi pada perbaikan bahkan peningkatan kualitas secara berkelanjutan. Perkembangan UMKM di Provinsi Maluku sendiri tidak terlepas dari berbagai masalah pada umumnya yang terjadi di Indonesia, hal ini juga yang dialami oleh pelaku UMKM di Negeri Waai Kecamatan Salahutu Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah yang dihadapi oleh pelaku UMKM negeri ini, maka perlu dan penting untuk memahami dengan lebih jelas hubungan antara implementasi TQM dengan keunggulan bersaing pada UMKM. Sehingga melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini, sebagai tim PkM Jurusan Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Pattimura bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik dan mendalam tentang implementasi TQM untuk keunggulan bersaing. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah pendidikan masyarakat dengan lebih menekankan pada pendekatan transmisi konten. Materi yang diberikan diantaranya adalah beberapa prinsip utama dari TQM, pentingnya TQM, dan beberapa langkah yang harus dilakukan sebagai implementasi TQM bagi UMKM yang disertai dengan bukti empiris. Dengan pemahaman yang baik dari pelaku UMKM di Negeri Waai akan sangat membantu dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk dan layanan, efisiensi operasional, serta fokus kepada kepuasan pelanggan. Dengan melibatkan seluruh aspek dalam UMKM ketika mengimplementasikan TQM, maka dapat memperkuat UMKM untuk tetap berkelanjutan dan dapat mencapai serta meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing.

Abstract

Kampung Sanan has been designated as a tourist destination for small, household-based industries with a mainstay product, tempe chips. Data on tourist visits in 2023 will average 250 people/month. Tourists are met at the entrance gate of Sanan Village, by the Tour Guide team and greeted with a typical Sanan welcoming dance, namely the Oglek Tempe Dance. There is a problem that is an obstacle for dancers because they do not have their own make-up equipment nor do they have the skills to apply make-up independently for corrective stage make-up when they want to dance. This causes it to be ineffective and uneconomical because when they want to dance they have to go to the salon or bring in a make-up artist. The aim of the service activity is to provide corrective stage make-up training for the Oglek Tempe dance team so that they are skilled at applying make-up independently. The training method applies demonstration methods and guided practice methods, while for enrichment tutorials are provided in video form. From the results of the activity evaluation, 5 participants were not yet skilled, 10 people were skilled and 5 people were quite skilled.

Abstract

The absorption and performance of graduates are part of the outcomes that must be achieved by every college, including Akademi Kesehatan John Paul II Pekanbaru (AKJP II Pekanbaru). Users of graduates hope to get workers who have insight, skills, and work behavior that can adapt to the vision, mission, and goals of the organization. Therefore, Akademi Kesehatan John Paul II Pekanbaru carries out activities to make graduates ready to work apart from trying to achieve the target of competent students in the national competency test to graduate on time. Because of that, AKJP II Pekanbaru held an interactive seminar and discussion activity "The Influence of Organizational Commitment on Organizational Behavior" for 2022/2023 graduates which was held on January 14, 2021. The activities was held at AKJP II Pekanbaru started with the opening, delivery of material, and interactive dialogue. Through this activity, participants understand the importance of an employee having an organizational commitment, which means the employee has an emotional bond with the employing organization and wants to remain part of the organization. Employees who have organizational commitment will behave in accordance with the vision, mission and goals of the organization. Organizational behavior must be realized so that an employee can gain job satisfaction for himself and have a positive impact on the organization.

Abstract

This community service project examines the settlement environmental planning in Desa Mbarung, Kecamatan Babussalam, Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara, Aceh Province. The focus of this study is to prioritize settlement environmental planning using the ArcGIS program, aiming to identify which development areas and types should be prioritized. Data analysis was conducted through direct field observation surveys and processed using Microsoft Excel before being entered into ArcGIS for visualization and prioritization. The survey covered various aspects, including geographical location, population density, housing conditions, accessibility, drainage, drinking water services, and wastewater disposal systems. The study results reveal the characteristics and criteria for each parameter of settlement environmental planning, as well as the necessary development priorities. Key findings include the percentage of residential buildings lacking adequate roofing, flooring, and walls according to technical standards; the percentage of roads not meeting technical requirements; the percentage of drainage networks in settlements having substandard quality; the percentage of the population lacking access to adequate drinking water facilities (both piped and protected non-piped sources); and the percentage of households without access to family or communal latrines (with five households per latrine).

Abstract

The government requires business actors to have a halal certificate by 2024. This PKM activity aims to socialize Law no. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantees, and business actors in Sumberan Hamlet, Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency, through socialization activities and halal certification training, are expected to be able to produce halal food products, thoyiban. This is because there is still a lack of business actors in Sumberan Hamlet who have halal certificates. The PKM method goes through an initial preparation stage, the implementation stage of PKM activities is carried out with lectures and a mentoring stage. PKM ran smoothly, participants were very enthusiastic about following stage by stage. Through this PKM, business actors in Sumberan Hamlet guarantee halal quality in their products in order to obtain halal certificates so that they can increase sales, and ultimately improve community welfare.
