Abstract

The representation of the function of language in the field of religion and spirituality is marked by the use of Indonesian in various forms of church services. This also applies to the GKI in Tanah Papua, especially in the service (diakonia) of the GKI church in Tanah Papua which is known as the Tri Vocations of the Church, namely fellowship, witness and service. All service activities require Indonesian as an effective and meaningful communication tool. One of them is the use of correct Indonesian spelling in the presentation of praise song texts by the Church's Media Team. The target for this training and mentoring is the GKI Diaspora Multimedia Team in Kotaraja Dalam. The initial survey (interview on Wednesday, 26 July 2023) with the GKI Diaspora Multimedia Team Kotaraja- Dalam showed that the team's activities in editing the text of the songs were not based on the applicable General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). Training activities were held on Monday, July 31 2023, at the GKI Diaspora Multi-Purpose Building, Kotaraja Dalam. Implementation time is 16.00—18.00 WIT. The activity was attended by 8 participants. Apart from that, mentoring was also carried out for 4 days via telephone communication, starting from 31 July to 3 August 2023. In the mentoring activity, training participants were challenged to edit spelling errors and writing word combinations in the Congregational Songbook of 300 song texts. The results of the observations showed that the participants were serious enough to improve. Within one week, 20 texts of the Congregational Song Songs were returned which had been edited and within 1 month the edited results of 300 Congregation Song Song texts were obtained. The text editing completion rate is considered successful. The completion rate for text editing in the first week of August 2023 reached 6.7% with the training participants' level of understanding of the material being (60%) in the sufficient category. There was a significant increase in performance and understanding in the 4th week of August by 100% with very good criteria. Thus, it is concluded that training and mentoring techniques can improve the GKI Diaspora Kotaraja Multimedia Team's proficiency in writing capital letters, punctuation marks and word combinations in accordance with the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling.service issues undertaken / researched. Abstract

The background to this service activity is Indonesia's increasingly difficult economic conditions amidst rising dollar prices, inflation, and increasing unemployment and poverty rates. The main aim of this activity is to develop Muhya Gemilang Vocational School as a school with character that can act as a safety valve for the people's economy by managing local potential and the creative economy. The method of implementing activities involves an agreement between the service and the Kroya Muhammadiyah (PCM) Branch Leadership, as well as collaboration with Muhya Gemilang Vocational School. This activity includes fostering the discipline of educators and education personnel, building school infrastructure, and utilizing waqf land for agriculture and fisheries. Socialization and training are provided to students regarding fish farming, vegetable growing, and other entrepreneurial skills such as cutting hair, opening a motorbike repair shop, and becoming a content creator. The findings from this activity show that two main programs are being built by Muhya Gemilang Vocational School, namely building community trust and building the school as a center of excellence. Increasing the discipline of educators and education personnel has succeeded in increasing the number of students registering. Apart from that, collaboration with the Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto in fish cultivation provides students with practical skills to manage the surrounding environment to be more productive. In conclusion, this activity succeeded in increasing public trust in Muhya Gemilang Vocational School and providing entrepreneurial skills to students who can contribute to overcoming local economic problems. A new and important aspect of this activity is the bottom-up approach in developing the creative economy through school initiatives and collaboration with the community.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a strategic role in strengthening the people's economy nationally, so the government must pay attention to strategies and policies for empowering MSMEs. This article discusses the problems of developing MSMEs in order to improve people's welfare, forms of exploitation of MSMEs and forms of legal protection for MSMEs. Socialization was carried out at the Karangrejo market offline. The results of the socialization showed that the problems of developing MSMEs covered several things such as marketing difficulties, financial limitations, human resource limitations, raw material problems, and technological limitations. Meanwhile, the pattern of exploitation of MSMEs covered capital accumulation, the creation of economic and social dependency, and a monopolistic market structure. Until now, the form of legal protection for MSMEs provided by the government is through simplifying the requirements and procedures for applying for business permits, development procedures, partnership patterns, organizing coordination and control of MSME empowerment, and procedures for imposing administrative sanctions. From the conclusion, the government is recommended to make further arrangements, related to legal protection for MSMEs, supervise parties who cheat, and provide better legal protection for MSMEs. In addition, the state should carry out reforms, one of which is by providing free legal assistance for MSMEs and tax deductions.

Abstract

Learning represents a fundamental aspect of the educational process. The efficacy of the learning process is a key determinant of the extent to which educational objectives are achieved. Similarly, the quality of mathematical learning is a significant predictor of success in mathematics. The objective of this thesis is to examine the potential of managerial strategies to enhance the quality of mathematics learning. This research employs a qualitative methodology, specifically a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The data sources, or resource persons, were selected using the snowball technique. The data were validated through the triangulation technique. The results demonstrated that: (1) The management of improvements to the quality of mathematics learning is conducted in three stages: planning, implementation, and assessment. (2) Teachers employ various strategies to enhance mathematics learning outcomes, including the provision of structured assignments. (3) The effective management of learning outcomes is contingent upon three key supporting factors: parental involvement, access to learning resources, and the principal's leadership model. (4) Persistent challenges, such as the pervasive belief that mathematics is inherently challenging and student motivation, must also be addressed.

Abstract

Land is a two-dimensional part of the earth in the form of land, which in essence has a dual function for human life. Given the importance of land, the government needs to regulate it in the hope of providing welfare, happiness and certainty for the rights owners. With regard to rights, there needs to be evidence, namely a certificate issued by the Land Office. The mechanism for issuing certificates by referring to the negative land registration system has a tendency, but this system still causes conflict in the land sector. Starting from this conflict, the government carried out a complete systematic land registration program (PTSL), hoping to be able to provide certainty to the landowner community. The purpose of this study was to determine the complete systematic land registration (PTSL) at the Medan City Land Office as a form of change in the land registration publication system. This research method is a normative legal research with a conceptual approach, and regulations. The results of the study The negative land registration system with a positive tendency has not provided perfect legal certainty for land rights owners. Because land registration is not always certain to use the deed registration system (Registration of deeds) but also the registration of rights, uncertainty when there is a legal relationship between legal subjects in the land sector triggers disputes, conflicts and land problems even after following the procedures normalized in laws and regulations.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a vital role in the economy, especially in creating jobs and supporting local economic growth. However, one of the main challenges faced by MSMEs is the lack of understanding and skills in financial management. Many MSMEs face problems in managing their finances that can hinder the growth and sustainability of their businesses. This community service activity aims to improve the welfare of MSMEs through strengthening financial management with a practical and innovative approach. We organize training workshops on the use of financial technology, individual consultation sessions, and business plan development. Through this approach, we provide MSMEs with practical knowledge and skills so that they can manage their finances more effectively and sustainably. The output targets of the activity are increasing MSME knowledge and understanding of financial management, improving practical skills in financial management among MSMEs, adopting innovative approaches in MSME financial management, and improving the welfare and sustainability of MSME businesses.

Abstract

One of the factors that should be considered in the legal protection of the poor is the equal position of citizens before the law. In a just society, there should be no gap between the people and those who have money and positions that afford them the same status as citizens in accordance with the legal system. It is imperative that legal aid be made available to impoverished individuals and communities in a criminal justice system that has yet to achieve comprehensive integration. The objective of this research is to ascertain the role of consultation and legal aid institutions in providing legal assistance and community empowerment for economically disadvantaged individuals. This research employs an empirical juridical approach to examine the activities of the Consultation and Legal Aid in fulfilling its role. The findings indicate that the Institute for Consultation and Legal Aid is obliged to provide assistance to legal aid providers free of charge. However, information regarding the provision of free or low-cost legal aid has not been widely disseminated, resulting in a significant number of defendants or suspects who are dealing with the law and do not receive assistance from legal aid providers. This lack of access to legal aid services leaves individuals without the means to effectively navigate accusations, suspicions, or charges from the state, thereby exacerbating their vulnerability.

Abstract

The principle of "Equality before the law" states that every individual has equal rights before the law and equal treatment in the justice system. This principle emphasizes that all people must be treated fairly and equally in the eyes of the law without discrimination. This principle explains that everyone has equal access to the legal process and justice, without any bias or unfair treatment based on factors such as race, religion, gender or social status. This principle is an important foundation in ensuring justice, protection of human rights, and fair law enforcement for all citizens. The free legal aid program is one way to realize access to law and justice for the poor, which is provided by the state as mandated by the constitution. The provision of legal aid to citizens in Indonesia is an effort to fulfill and at the same time implement a rule of law that recognizes, protects and guarantees the human rights of citizens. Through the provision of free legal aid, it is hoped that people in need can gain access to free legal services that are fair and equitable, and receive appropriate legal protection.
