Abstract

The problem is that students' understanding of the importance of entrepreneurial competencies in today's workplace is unequal. Many students still view entrepreneurship as a last resort, rather than a primary career path. The method employed emphasizes the integration of theory-based entrepreneurship training with hands-on practice through the utilization of the Campus Business Incubator. The results of this training activity indicate that, through the active use of the Campus Business Incubator, students gain not only knowledge but also real-world experience and mentoring relevant to current market needs. The success of this activity provides an important foundation for the Faculty of Entrepreneurship at Garut University to continue and develop similar programs on an ongoing basis. Incubation-based entrepreneurship training is highly effective in preparing students to become innovative and independent young entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Micro entrepreneurs lack the skills to utilize digital technology, particularly in managing online stores. Most still rely on conventional marketing methods that have limited reach and are inefficient. This community service activity is implemented through a participatory and collaborative approach, prioritizing the active involvement of micro-entrepreneurs as training participants. This method is designed to build an understanding that is applicable and relevant to the real needs of entrepreneurs. The results of this training indicate a significant impact on strengthening the capacity of micro-entrepreneurs to navigate the era of economic digitalization. The results achieved not only provide short-term benefits in the form of improved technical skills but also instill sustainable values, which are essential foundations for inclusive and resilient economic development. This training also encourages participants to begin considering sustainable economic principles in running their businesses. Therefore, this training not only equips participants with digital skills but also fosters the development of an adaptive, collaborative, and responsible entrepreneurial mindset, which is highly relevant to the goal of inclusive and sustainable local economic development.

Abstract

This community service program, titled "Strengthening Citizenship Education through Multidisciplinary Collaboration (PKn-Sociology): Examining the Impact of Globalization on National Identity Among Adolescents," was successfully implemented at SMAN 2 Garut. The program involved 131 adolescents aged 15-18 and aimed to enhance their understanding of globalization's influence on national identity. Employing a participatory and collaborative approach across preparatory, implementation, and evaluation phases, the initiative developed an interactive PKn-Sociology module. Quantitative results from pre-test and post-test scores revealed a significant 21% increase in participants' understanding of globalization, national identity, and digital literacy. Qualitatively, focused group discussions indicated heightened critical thinking in filtering digital information and a stronger appreciation for local cultural values. The program also fostered the creation of tangible outputs like digital posters and short educational videos, showcasing adolescents' transition into proactive agents of positive change. These findings affirm the effectiveness of multidisciplinary collaboration in equipping adolescents with robust national identity in the digital age.

Abstract

Mathematics education in Indonesia faces challenges in statistics and probability, often taught procedurally, leading to low student motivation and limited critical thinking. Teachers also struggle with scarce resources and outdated methods. Research-Based Learning (RBL) is proposed as an urgent solution, aligning with the Merdeka Curriculum, encouraging students to engage in the scientific process for deeper understanding. This community engagement initiative implemented RBL in statistics and probability for mathematics teachers in Garut Regency through a participatory teacher professional development approach. The workshop, based on the PPDAC framework, involved 30 teachers, training them to design contextual inquiry projects and analyze data using spreadsheets. A pre-assessment identified a competency gap, but post-assessment showed a 21% increase in teachers' understanding of RBL and statistics, along with improved confidence in project design. The program successfully enhanced teachers' technical competencies in teaching statistics innovatively, directly impacting the quality of learning in schools.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competence of Civic Education (PKn) teachers in utilizing AI-based interactive simulations to foster students’ civic literacy and ethical decision-making skills. The program was implemented through two main stages: (1) the introduction of Artificial Intelligence concepts and their relevance in education, and (2) practical training on integrating AI-based interactive simulations into classroom learning. The results demonstrate that the training improved teachers’ digital literacy, strengthened their pedagogical capacity, and encouraged the adoption of innovative learning media. Consequently, students gained greater opportunities to engage in critical thinking, understand their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and practice ethical decision-making in real-life contexts. This program highlights the strategic role of teacher training in supporting the integration of technology into Civic Education, while also offering implications for broader educational practices in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out at SMAN 11 Garut with the aim of enhancing students’ speaking skills through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) using the “Speaking with Stimuler” approach. The activity was conducted in two stages, namely the delivery of materials by the service team and a hands-on practice session facilitated by the students. The results show that the integration of AI in speaking practice contributes to improving students’ language abilities, fostering more interactive learning experiences, and reducing repetitive burdens in the teaching process. Despite several challenges such as the need for continuous training and readiness of supporting infrastructure, the program proved effective in increasing students’ enthusiasm and competence. This activity highlights the potential of AI-based learning models as an innovative method to strengthen speaking skills in the context of secondary education. Abstract

Effective performance management and recruitment training are urgently needed for MSMEs. Effective human resource management is crucial for building a strong work team and supporting business sustainability. The integration of performance management and recruitment training is rarely examined as a single program. The training is implemented through interactive lectures, case studies, discussions, simulations, and evaluations. This training employs a participatory and applied approach, prioritizing the active involvement of MSME participants throughout the entire process. The results of the performance management training demonstrate that MSMEs need to develop the skills to develop key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly monitor and evaluate employee performance, and provide constructive feedback. The recruitment process is also a weak point for many MSMEs. Therefore, a sustainable strategy for strengthening MSME human resource capacity, oriented toward increasing productivity, operational efficiency, and business competitiveness amidst increasingly competitive economic challenges, is essential.

Abstract

Lack of training and coaching in this area is a major contributing factor. In today's digital era, MSMEs are required to maintain effective communication not only in person but also through digital platforms such as social media and e-commerce. The training method used in this activity is an educational-participatory approach that positions MSMEs as active participants in the training process, not merely recipients of material. The results of this activity indicate that after the training, there were significant changes in the way participants communicate with customers and business partners. Some participants began to demonstrate a more empathetic, polite, and open attitude when handling consumer complaints. This training provides a foundation for MSMEs in Garut Regency to build reputations and customer loyalty through ethical communication. Therefore, the interactive and experience-based training program significantly supports the learning process for participants with diverse educational backgrounds and business experience.

Abstract

Stunting has more than just physical growth implications; it has long-term effects on cognitive development, productivity, and health in adulthood, and is one of the factors hindering the development of a nation's human resources. The high prevalence of stunting in Indonesia makes prevention and treatment efforts very important. This Community Health Program (PKM) aims to educate the community of Tanjungjaya Village, particularly pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, about the prevention and management of stunting, as well as the dangers associated with it. The implementation of this PKM involves a socialization campaign that includes education on the prevention and management of stunting, as well as the distribution and planting of moringa trees over a one-month period, located at 11 Posyandu centers in Tanjungjaya Village.
