Abstract

Meskipun penggunaan alat pembelajaran berbasis game digital telah menjadi perhatian dalam beberapa penelitian sebelumnya, kajian yang secara khusus membahas pengembangan game edukasi berbasis Quizizz untuk mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan game edukasi berbasis Quizizz pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak kelas VII serta menganalisis efektivitas dan kelayakannya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), melibatkan 18 siswa kelas VII MTs Al-Asy'ariyah Banjarsari yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket validasi ahli (media dan materi) serta angket respons siswa, dan dianalisis dengan teknik persentase deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memperoleh kualifikasi "sangat layak" dari ahli materi (rata-rata 95,5%) dan ahli media (rata-rata 82,5%), dengan skor respons siswa mencapai 91% dalam kategori "sangat baik". Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan teori integrasi media digital interaktif dalam pendidikan agama Islam dan memperluas pemahaman tentang implementasi pembelajaran berbasis game di konteks Madrasah. Simpulan dari studi ini menekankan bahwa game edukasi berbasis Quizizz berperan penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Akidah Akhlak, serta menyarankan guru dan sekolah untuk mengadopsi media interaktif ini guna menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan efektif. Implikasi penelitian ini meliputi kontribusi teoritis dalam memperkaya literatur tentang inovasi pembelajaran digital dalam pendidikan Islam, serta implikasi praktis bagi pendidik Madrasah dan pengembang kurikulum. Studi ini juga membuka peluang eksplorasi lebih lanjut terhadap dampak jangka panjang Quizizz terhadap hasil belajar siswa serta penerapannya pada mata pelajaran atau jenjang pendidikan lainnya. Kata Kunci: Game Edukasi; Quizizz; Akidah Akhlak; Media Pembelajaran; Model ADDIE Although the use of digital game-based learning tools has received increasing attention in prior studies, research specifically addressing the development of a Quizizz-based educational game for the subject of Akidah Akhlak (Moral Theology) at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level remains limited. This study aims to develop a Quizizz-based educational game for seventh-grade Akidah Akhlak students and to analyze its effectiveness and feasibility in improving student understanding. A Research and Development (R&D) method was employed using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), involving 18 seventh-grade students from MTs Al-Asy'ariyah Banjarsari selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using expert validation questionnaires (for media and material) and student response questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The findings indicate that the developed media achieved "very feasible" qualifications from material experts (average score 95.5%) and media experts (average score 82.5%), with student response scores reaching 91% in the "very good" category. These results contribute to the theoretical development of interactive digital media integration in Islamic religious education and expand the understanding of game-based learning implementation in Madrasah contexts. The study concludes that the Quizizz-based educational game plays a crucial role in increasing student motivation, engagement, and comprehension of Akidah Akhlak material, and recommends that teachers and schools adopt this interactive media to create more enjoyable and effective learning experiences. The implications of this research include theoretical contributions to the growing literature on digital learning innovation in Islamic education and practical recommendations for Madrasah educators and curriculum developers. Furthermore, this study highlights opportunities for future research on the long-term impact of Quizizz on student learning outcomes and its application to other subjects or educational levels.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the practice of qardh among corn farmers, accompanied by provisions requiring borrowers to pledge their corn fields to the toke providing the loan, to sell their harvests to that toke, to face differences in purchase prices between indebted and non-indebted farmers, and to accept the toke’s taking of profit from the sale of corn harvests per ton. This study aims to identify the practice of qardh in Nagari Salareh Aia Timur and to analyze it from the perspective of Islamic Economics. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data processing and analysis were carried out in three stages, namely data collection, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the practice of qardh between corn farmers and toke in Nagari Salareh Aia Timur was generally influenced by economic factors and the farmers’ limited access to transportation to reach their corn fields. The practice constituted a form of lending that was not fully based on the spirit of mutual assistance, with the contract taking the form of an oral agreement covering the entire loan arrangement. From the perspective of Islamic Economics, the implementation of Islamic Economic principles in this practice has not been fully realized, because corn farmers have applied only some of the existing principles. These findings affirm that the practice of qardh among corn farmers in the area still requires adjustment in order to be more in line with the principles of Islamic Economics.

Abstract

Physical development at the nagari level is the spearhead of regional development in West Sumatra, but the role of the nagari government in this process has its own distinctiveness because it cannot be separated from the customary system that is strongly rooted in community life. This study aims to examine the role of the Tanjung Barulak Nagari Government in physical development and to identify the factors that influence it. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving 21 informants selected purposively, including nagari officials, jorong heads, representatives of BPRN, KAN, and the community. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation studies, and were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Tanjung Barulak Nagari Government had carried out five roles according to Siagian, namely stabilizer, innovator, modernizer, pioneer, and implementer, which were manifested through tiered deliberation, innovation in budget and irrigation management, the implementation of RPJM, budget transparency, and a self-management system based on TPK. The most dominant roles were those of stabilizer and implementer, while the roles of innovator, modernizer, and pioneer still need to be strengthened, especially in the use of technology and in increasing public awareness of maintaining development outcomes. Development implementation was supported by the synergy of tungku tigo sajarangan, the spirit of gotong royong, and the technical support of the regency government, but was hindered by delays in fund disbursement, customary land constraints, low awareness of infrastructure maintenance, and the central government’s budget efficiency policy. These findings affirm that strengthening the role of the nagari government in physical development requires more adaptive strategies through optimizing alternative funding schemes and integrating customary values into nagari development policies. Abstract

Although structured Qur’an learning has received attention in a number of studies, research that specifically examines the detailed process of implementing the Tartil method, as well as its supporting and inhibiting factors in the pondok pesantren environment, remains limited. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Tartil method, the improvement of students’ Qur’an reading ability, and its supporting and inhibiting factors at Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Sengon Jombang. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design involving seven informants selected purposively, consisting of the pengasuh, curriculum coordinator, teacher, and students. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model through the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that the implementation of the Tartil method was carried out systematically through the stages of talqin-ittiba', the 3M method (Listening, Imitating, Seeing), and continuous evaluation, and was proven effective in improving the accuracy of makharijul huruf, compliance with tajwid rules, and the students’ reading fluency. The main supporting factors included teacher competence, a religious and disciplined pesantren environment, adequate learning facilities, and the students’ intrinsic motivation. The inhibiting factors included differences in the students’ initial abilities, lack of concentration, limited learning space during the rainy season, and limited teacher availability at certain times. The conclusion of this study confirms that the Tartil method plays an important role in systematically improving the quality of the students’ Qur’an recitation. These findings contribute to the development of the literature on Qur’anic pedagogy and provide practical implications for pondok pesantren to strengthen teacher training, maintain a conducive learning environment, and develop adaptive strategies to overcome physical and motivational barriers. This study also opens opportunities for further research on the long-term retention of Tartil method-based skills and its comparative effectiveness with other methods, such as Ummi or Tilawati.

Abstract

Although the use of online media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning has received attention in various studies, research that specifically examines the use of an intensively gamified mobile learning platform in the Learning Evaluation course remains limited. This study aims to analyze and demonstrate the extent to which the implementation of the gamification-based Wayground platform can improve students’ understanding in the PAI Learning Evaluation course at UNU Purwokerto. This study employed a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, involving 30 third-semester students selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through multiple-choice and essay tests, non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using a paired sample t-test and an interactive analysis model. The results showed a significant increase in the mean score from 74.34 to 86.09, representing an increase of 11.75 points, with a significance value of < 0.001. These findings indicate that the Wayground platform is effective in improving students’ cognitive understanding and interactivity, although its level of effectiveness falls within the moderate category (N-Gain = 0.457), and therefore still requires pedagogical support from lecturers for learning outcomes to be more optimal. This study contributes to the development of digital learning models in the environment of Private Islamic Higher Education Institutions and reinforces motivation theory in technology-based learning.

Abstract

The low mastery of English vocabulary among ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Medan became the main problem in this study, as reflected in the students’ difficulties in understanding, remembering, and using vocabulary appropriately in communication contexts. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Duolingo application in improving students’ vocabulary ability. This study employed a quantitative method, with data collected through a pre-test and a post-test, which were then analyzed using SPSS through a paired-samples t-test. The results showed that the students’ mean score increased from 59.87 on the pre-test to 72.57 on the post-test, with a significance value of 0.000, which was lower than 0.05. These findings indicate that the use of the Duolingo application had a significant effect on improving the students’ mastery of English vocabulary. Thus, this study confirms that the use of digital learning media can be an effective alternative for supporting the improvement of students’ vocabulary ability in English language learning.

Abstract

The development of contemporary criminal law shows a paradigm shift from a retributive approach toward a restorative-economic approach that emphasizes the recovery of state economic losses. As a state governed by law, as mandated in Article 1 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesia has a constitutional responsibility to uphold justice for the people’s economic rights through the strengthening of clean and transparent asset forfeiture instruments. This study aims to analyze the ratio legis of asset recovery in Indonesian criminal law regulations and to formulate the urgency of strengthening asset forfeiture mechanisms from the perspective of ius constituendum. This study used a normative juridical method with a statutory approach, a conceptual approach, and a comparative approach. The results show that the ratio legis of asset recovery in Law Number 31 of 1999 and Law Number 8 of 2010 remains conventional and is highly dependent on proof of personal wrongdoing (in personam), so it has the potential to encounter obstacles when the perpetrator dies or flees. Therefore, the adoption of the Non-Conviction-Based Asset Forfeiture mechanism in the Asset Forfeiture Bill is needed as a lex specialis by considering the success of the confiscation sans condamnation system and the professionalism of the AGRASC institution in France to improve the effectiveness of holistic state asset recovery. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of theoretical reconstruction through the integration of civil and criminal law elements into an autonomous hybrid asset forfeiture regime, so that the direction of criminal law enforcement in Indonesia focuses not only on pursuing perpetrators but also on independently dismantling the financial power base derived from crime.

Abstract

The use of digital technology in early childhood education is increasingly important, but its use needs to be adapted to children’s developmental needs and characteristics. This study aims to analyze the use of Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) in developing the language and socio-emotional abilities of children aged 4–6 years at KB Putra Mandiri, Pacitan. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 17 children and 1 teacher as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were then analyzed using an interactive model. The results show a significant improvement in children’s development, with the socio-emotional aspect increasing from 40% to 85% and the language aspect increasing from 45% to 82%. Children showed improvements in sharing ability, empathy, communication, vocabulary development, and confidence in speaking. The use of IFP through interactive activities, such as educational games and digital stories, proved able to increase children’s engagement, participation, and learning motivation. These findings indicate that the appropriate use of technology can support children’s holistic development by integrating language and socio-emotional aspects simultaneously. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that IFP is effective in creating interactive and meaningful early childhood education learning. The implications of this study emphasize the important role of teachers in appropriately integrating technology to support early childhood development.

Abstract

Learning hijaiyah letters and makharijul huruf has become a focus in several previous studies; however, research that specifically discusses the effectiveness of Augmented Reality-based interactive media in improving elementary school students’ reading skills remains limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of using the AR-Qu interactive application based on Augmented Reality on students’ reading skills in hijaiyah letters and makharijul huruf. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving 56 students selected through the total sampling technique. Data were collected through practical tests in the form of pretests and posttests, observation, and documentation, and were then analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test and N-Gain analysis. The results show that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class, with a significance value of 0.007 < 0.05. In addition, the average N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.9912, which was in the high category, while that of the control class was 0.6856, which was in the moderate category. These findings contribute to the development of multimedia-based learning studies, particularly the use of Augmented Reality to improve understanding of abstract concepts in Qur’anic learning. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that Augmented Reality-based interactive media is effective in improving students’ reading skills in hijaiyah letters and makharijul huruf. The practical implication is that teachers and educational institutions need to consider integrating Augmented Reality technology into the learning process so that learning activities become more effective, interactive, and engaging.

Abstract

Although teacher digital competence (TDC) has become a focus in several previous studies, research that specifically synthesizes the adaptation of the Agile Scrum framework for systematic teacher professional development remains limited. This study aims to systematically review the literature on the adaptation of Scrum in improving teachers’ digital competence. This study used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach combined with qualitative thematic analysis, involving 18 empirical studies selected through the PRISMA protocol from a total of 295 articles. The results show that core Scrum elements, such as sprints or short learning cycles, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and Kanban boards, can be effectively integrated into teacher digital competence development programs. This adaptation significantly improves teachers’ Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), self-efficacy, and collaborative soft skills. However, its implementation still faces challenges in the form of teacher resistance, lack of facilitator training, and limited digital infrastructure. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that Agile-TDC adaptation plays an important role in creating an iterative and collaborative professional learning environment. The implications of this study emphasize the need for policy support through the allocation of dedicated time for teacher professional development, Agile mentor training, and the provision of adequate digital infrastructure.
