Abstract

This service is designed to explore the effectiveness of the Achievement Motivation Seminar in enhancing students' enthusiasm and readiness to face academic challenges. The main focus of this service is to analyze the impact of the Achievement Motivation Seminar on the development of students' abilities in setting goals, planning their next steps, and enhancing their emotional resilience. The subjects of this research are 65 fifth and sixth-grade students who are actively involved in the Seminar process. The method used in this service is Participatory Action Research (PAR), with an approach of direct observation, in-depth interviews, and data analysis. The results of the service show a significant improvement in students who attended the achievement motivation seminar, which can be seen before and after the seminar was held. To achieve optimal results, there needs to be a relationship between the guidance counselor and subject teachers who consistently provide good and creative guidance and teaching in the classroom. Therefore, for future community service research, it can be expanded and creatively thought out to provide achievement motivation so that students can truly implement it.

Abstract

Effective communication training enhances the soft skills of vocational high school students by fostering the development of communication skills, a crucial component of the soft skills that employers increasingly demand. This training aims to equip and prepare students to face the demands of the world of work. The training method used is to combine theoretical and practical approaches, including simulations, group discussions, and exercises as a form of evaluation. Through this training, students gain an understanding of increasing self-confidence, the ability to work in a team, and the skills to convey ideas effectively. The results of this training are expected to provide a significant increase in students' communication skills, which in turn will increase competitiveness in the world of work when they graduate later.

Abstract

The existence of Indonesian language needs to be promoted. This is in line with the slogan of Utamakan Bahasa Indonesia, Lestarikan Bahasa Daerah, dan Kuasai Bahasa Asing. However, in reality, the implementation related to the slogan of the Language Agency has not been fully implemented in AM Educenter RT 01, RW 03, Meruyung, Limo, Depok, West Java. The solution offered is that the Implementation Team provides an alternative implementation of the slogan Utamakan Bahasa Indonesia, Lestarikan Bahasa Daerah, dan Kuasai Bahasa Asing in the form of posters and the like which are installed at AM Educenter as a form of love for Indonesian. The method used in the implementation of community service is face-to-face (offline) by complying with health protocols. The results achieved are the creation of understanding in partners regarding the implementation of the slogan Utamakan Bahasa Indonesia, Lestarikan Bahasa Daerah, dan Kuasai Bahasa Asing and the installation of posters as a form of implementation of the slogan.

Abstract

The reading corner is an effort to develop students' interest in reading by utilizing the classroom corner as a small library. In other words, the benefits of reading can increase self-development, fulfill intellectual demands, fulfill life interests, increase interest in a field, know real things, open life horizons for children, witness other worlds, the world of thoughts and reflections, and change children. To be charming and feel good to say the least. A reading corner or often also called a reading corner is a room located in the corner of the classroom which is equipped with a collection of books and functions as an extension of the library function. The Reading Corner was created not to compete with the School Library, but rather to help the School Library in fostering a love of reading and reading routines in students. So the books provided in the Reading Corner are tried to be different from those available in the School Library. In order to develop students' interest in reading, Reading Corners in each class have benefits, including: 1) Can stimulate students to be like more of reading and have good thinking power. 2) Bring books closer to students so that students are more interested in reading. 3) Helping the School Library in cultivating a reading routine, when the books that students want to read are not available in the School Library. 4) Can be connected as part of the teacher's learning activities. This assistance uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method, which is a research methodology that invites individuals and communities to actively participate by taking part in activities in the field of construction or similar facilities with the knowledge they have. This method was carried out to determine efforts to increase students' reading interest. In its implementation there are several stages, namely Observation and Preparation, Introduction, Training and Assistance in Creating a Reading Corner. Based on the assistance activities for creating reading corners that have been carried out, it can be concluded that all students appear skilled in being creative, both in the form of drawing, editing, choosing words and combining colors to add aesthetic value. reading corner in every class.

Abstract

This service is expected to help improve public understanding in the religious and social fields, especially for residents of Bluri Village, Solokuro District, Lamongan Regency. To improve the understanding of women's treatises for women in Bluri Village, student researchers conducted seminars and training activities with direct material presentation methods, including explanations of menstruation, postpartum, and istihadloh related to the differences and similarities, how to distinguish menstruation and istihadloh, and how to calculate menstruation and istihadloh which can be practiced directly by the community. Community service activities in the form of seminars and training on women's treatises were held on Monday, August 21, 2024 at the Ihyaul Ulum diniah locality which was held at 20.00 - 23.00 WIB. Training activities include delivering material explaining the work program, the background of women's problems, introduction to menstruation, and istihadloh, how to calculate days and limits, how to purify, and the worship of istihadloh people. continued with a question and answer session and group photos. Based on the results of the socialization and training conducted, the community was enthusiastic in the process of the seminar and training of this women's treatise. In this case, the service was focused on Mrs. Fatayat and IPPNU because most mothers and young women in this village did not know about it.

Abstract

Digital marketing needs to be implemented immediately in every business entity as a strategic approach to promote products, services, or brands to the targeted audience. The main problems faced by the partner include a lack of digital marketing skills, suboptimal use of social media, and limited integration with e-commerce platforms. P4S Tani Makmur Jaya in Blitar strives to enhance the reach and effectiveness of agricultural product marketing. This outreach activity discussed the use of various platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, which, although available, had not been utilized to their full potential. In addition, integration with e-commerce platforms such as Tokopedia and Shopee was also considered a way to expand market access. The training method used included direct material delivery to participants and hands-on creation of e-commerce accounts using mobile phones. As a result of this community service activity, participants successfully created several social media and e-commerce accounts such as Shopee, TikTok, Tokopedia, and Facebook. Participants, under the guidance of the facilitators, also succeeded in producing promotional videos and photos for their e-commerce accounts. Sales through the Shopee account successfully reached customers outside Blitar, particularly for organic fertilizer products. The implementation of digital marketing is expected to increase the competitiveness of the P4S Tani Makmur Jaya Group in Blitar, create new opportunities, and strengthen its position in the digital market.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance the understanding of life’s meaning and authentic happiness among female students (santriwati) at Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat through the integration of Qur’anic values and existential psychology. The program was motivated by the increasing phenomenon of existential crisis and identity confusion among adolescents in pesantren settings, which often lacks systematic psycho-spiritual intervention. The activity was implemented in the form of a one-day reflective-educational seminar, consisting of three sessions: exploring the concept of life’s meaning in the Qur’an, integrating Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy, and conducting guided personal reflection. Evaluation methods included pre- and post-tests as well as thematic analysis of written reflections. Results showed a 15% increase in comprehension scores and a significant cognitive shift in participants’ perspectives toward life’s hardships, from obstacles to opportunities for spiritual growth. Participant reflections indicated that Qur’anic values such as sabr (patience), shukr (gratitude), and tawakkul (trust in God) served as sources of psychological resilience and inner peace. The findings suggest that a Qur’anic psychology approach is both relevant and effective in strengthening character and emotional well-being in pesantren adolescents. Follow-up initiatives include mentoring and the development of a structured Qur’anic reflection module.

Abstract

The problem faced by partners is that not all treasurers can access or manage Coretax independently without technical assistance, thus hampering the daily tax process. Coretax education training held for the treasurers of Khidmat Sehat Afiat (Kisa) Regional General Hospital, Depok City, Anugerah Sehat Afiat Regional General Hospital, Beji District and Beji District Community Health Center aims to improve understanding and technical skills in using the digital-based tax administration system, Coretax, developed by the Directorate General of Taxes. The scope of the training includes the process of taxpayer registration, recording withholding tax evidence, reporting Tax Returns (SPT), creating tax billing codes, as well as integrated tax data management through the Coretax application. The training method is conducted through technical guidance  with a hands-on approach on the Coretax system, involving simulations and case studies in accordance with the treasurer’s business processes in health service units. The training results showed an increase in the treasurers’ ability to operate the Coretax application independently, understand tax obligations, and optimize more effective and accurate tax reporting and administration. In conclusion, this training successfully strengthened the technical capacity of the treasurers Khidmat Sehat Afiat (Kisa) Regional General Hospital, Depok City, Anugerah Sehat Afiat Regional General Hospital, Beji District and Beji District Community Health Center in supporting the digital transformation of tax administration, which ultimately supports increased tax compliance and transparent financial governance in the public health sector.

Abstract

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a mandatory English proficiency test for university students as a measure of foreign language proficiency. However, a common problem is students’ unpreparedness for the test due to a lack of understanding of tips and tricks for answering TOEFL questions correctly. This community service activity was designed using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The purpose of this community service activity was to provide tips and tricks for answering TOEFL questions to the Islamic Economics student association at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Trunojoyo University. A total of 50 participants participated in this community service activity. This community service activity was designed using a training method that focused on the problems faced by the participants regarding TOEFL test-solving strategies, so that they would be better prepared when taking the test at a language center or TOEFL test provider. This community service activity focused on three stages: preparation; training; and evaluation. The results of this community service activity had a positive impact on literacy skills related to TOEFL question-solving strategies. The results of the questionnaire given showed that students had a good understanding of the strategies and methods for solving TOEFL test questions so that they were better prepared to face TOEFL questions when they took the TOEFL test.

Abstract

This article describes the community service activities carried out by the Mendeley Advisor Community Indonesia entitled "Service to the Nation 80 Years of the Republic of Indonesia: Utilizing AI to Strengthen Scientific Capacity." This program aims to improve digital literacy and research capacity by artificial intelligence (AI) in an academic context. A total of 230 participants consisting of students, lecturers, and researchers from various provinces took part in this training. The training material covered theoretical and practical aspects of AI use, particularly in literature review, reference management, scientific writing, and research efficiency. Data was collected through pre- and post-training surveys, structured observations, and interviews. The results showed a 70% level of participant satisfaction and engagement, 75%-time efficiency, 85% depth of material, and a 70% increase in practical skills. Although knowledge retention was moderate (60%), this training successfully encouraged the integration of AI into academic practice. Overall, this initiative shows that community-based AI training can strengthen digital competencies and academic productivity, as well as contribute to closing the digital literacy gap in Indonesia.
