Abstract

The increasing population has led to higher consumption and the generation of household waste, particularly in the Bandung Raya area. The Legok Nangka Final Processing and Disposal Site (TPPAS) is planned as a solution for regional waste management after the Sarimukti landfill has completed its operational period. The service area of the Legok Nangka TPPAS follows the service area of the Sarimukti landfill, which includes the City of Bandung, the City of Cimahi, Bandung Regency, and West Bandung Regency. Given the existing conditions of the Legok Nangka TPPAS location, which is relatively far from the city and regency centers that generate waste, an alternative Intermediate Transfer Station (SPA) is needed. This facility can reduce waste volume while increasing waste density by three times. This research focuses on analyzing alternative locations for the Intermediate Transfer Station (SPA) in the City of Bandung to enhance the efficiency of waste transportation to the Legok Nangka TPPAS using Geographic Information System (GIS) based on Network Analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Intermediate Transfer Station (SPA) significantly improves waste transportation efficiency. With a capacity of 500 tons per day, the SPA reduces the volume of waste directly sent to the Legok Nangka TPPAS by 26%. The distance and travel time for trucks are reduced by 23.97% for pool 1 and 25.91% for pool 2, respectively. Efficiency is also evident in the reduction of fuel consumption and carbon emissions, with decreases of up to 25.91%. The average number of trips required is 83 trips per day, indicating a reduction in long-distance travel to the TPPAS. These findings underscore the importance of the SPA in sustainable waste management in the City of Bandung.

Abstract

Penta Helix collaboration is an important approach in developing sustainable tourism destinations, especially in areas where natural and cultural tourism potential is not yet optimal, such as Tutuala, Lautem, and Timor Leste Districts. This study aims to identify, analyze, and systematize literature related to the role of Penta Helix—which includes government, academics, business, communities, and media—in supporting sustainable tourism development in the region. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this article examines various previous studies to map cross-sector collaboration in increasing tourist attractions and their impacts on environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The results of the study show that the active involvement of each Penta Helix element is very influential in strengthening destination governance (Dredge & Jenkins, 2019; Yusran et al., 2020), expanding the tourism market (Sigala, 2020; Truong & Hall, 2021), and improving the quality of life of local communities (Goodwin, 2019; Cruz et al., 2021). However, challenges related to coordination between stakeholders and limited resources are still major obstacles in implementing this collaborative strategy (Jamal & Stronza, 2019). Therefore, stronger synergy efforts are needed, as well as the role of the media in promoting tourism potential and raising awareness of the importance of sustainability in tourism.

Abstract

Good electronic resources and student-lecturer interaction are essential to improve student satisfaction during online learning; e-learning satisfaction is a multifaceted construction that significantly affects student engagement and retention in online learning environments. This study aims to examine and evaluate a four-variable model, including E-learning, Perceived Ease of Use, E-learning Satisfaction, and Perceived Usefulness. Quantitative methods are used to test scales, research models, and hypotheses. These include testing scale reliability, testing the validity and consistency of the scale, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for hypothesis testing. The sample used was an active student of the Faculty of Economics and Business in the odd semester of 2023/2024 who had used Edlink at Sahid University. The object was chosen because Sahid University has an e-learning site, namely Edlink, that supports teaching and learning activities and is already running. One hundred thirty-eight questionnaires were distributed directly through Google Forms to students who had used Edlink. The data analysis technique in this study uses SEM with SmartPLS version 4. Through the evaluation of the measurement model with a loading factor of >0.70, Composite Reliability > 0.70, Cronbuc's Alpha >0.70 and Average variances Extracted >0.50. Then, we use the hypothesis test with Bootstrapping to determine the direct and indirect influences. The results of the study showed that there was an Effect of Perceived Ease of Use on E-learning satisfaction, No Effect of Perceived Usefulness on E-learning satisfaction, Effect of E-Lerning on Perceived Ease of Use, Effect of E-Lerning on Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use did not mediate the Effect of E-Lerning on E-learning satisfaction, Perceived Usefulness mediated the Effect of E-Lerning on E-learning satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and the visual design of campaign billboards on the decision to vote for presidential candidates in Generation Z. In addition, this research seeks to understand how these two elements interact and influence each other on the choice of Presidential candidates in Generation Z.  This research focuses on how the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and visual design of billboards in political campaigns to encourage the level of decision to vote for presidential candidates in Generation Z. The research was conducted using quantitative methods and the data collection process was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique used in determining the research sample is Probability Sampling, with the Simple Random Sampling technique, the determination of respondents is based on the Slovin Formula with a margin of error level of 0.5% with a sample number of 400 respondents. Data processing in this research was carried out by multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) version 29 statistical program. The results showed that each of the X variables had a positive and significant influence on the Choice Decision variable (Y).

Abstract

Conventional water filters available in the market cannot measure water quality, detect filter condition, automatically backwash when the filter is dirty and cannot be monitored anywhere. Therefore, by using ESP32, the filter condition can be determined and backwash if needed. From the existing problems, it is necessary to implement a control system and monitor the condition of the water filter, with the program features on the microcontroller and the web display used to control and monitor the tool, as well as internet of things-based testing and measurement of the tools made. From the research conducted, all sensors work well and the web display displays data in realtime so that it can support the performance of the tool to work as desired both automatically and manually.

Abstract

This research aims to achieve several objectives, which include: 1) Explaining the aspects of compensation, commitment, motivation, and employee performance at Bank BRI Abunjani Sipin Jambi Branch; 2) Examining the influence of compensation on employee commitment; 3) Investigating the impact of compensation on employee motivation; 4) Assessing the effect of compensation on employee performance; 5) Evaluating how commitment affects employee performance; 6) Analyzing the influence of work motivation on employee performance; 7) Studying the effect of compensation on employee performance mediated by commitment; and 8) Assessing the effect of compensation on employee performance mediated by motivation. The study's population comprises 114 employees at the BRI Sipin Branch in Jambi City in 2023, with a saturated sampling technique being utilized. This research employs a quantitative methodology with a survey approach and utilizes Partial Least Squares (PLS) for data analysis. The findings reveal that compensation exerts both direct and indirect positive and significant effects on employee performance, mediated by commitment and motivation. Furthermore, commitment and motivation themselves have a direct and significant positive influence on employee performance. These findings indicate that when the compensation provided aligns with employees xpectations, it enhances their commitment and motivation, resulting in improved work performance.
