Abstract

Group guidance services are one way of providing guidance to students who have certain problems in a group. Group tutoring services can be said to be effective if students can understand and follow the guidance optimally so that they can increase learning independence. Problem solving techniques are techniques for handling difficulties faced by each individual to reduce a person's sense of lack of understanding in order to achieve success. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of problem solving technique group guidance services to increase learning independence in determining a career. The type of research used in this research is experimental research with a true experimental research design. The objects in this research are the experimental class and the control class. The sample used in this research was taken randomly as a control group with a total of 7 students and 7 students as a class. Data collection techniques used in this research include interviews and observations. The research data was analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test and the N-Gain test on the SPSS 23 application. The research showed that the average Pretest was 129.74 and Posttest was 138.5. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the increase in respondents' scores from pretest to posttest, giving treatment can improve the results of respondents' answers, there is an increase in learning independence in determining a career after being given treatment.

Abstract

Supervision is the overall activity of supervising, checking, coordinating and controlling all activities so that they take place in accordance with established plans and desired results. Evaluation is a form of planned process of determining the condition of an object using instruments while the results are used as a benchmark for comparison with what was planned to obtain conclusions. The research method used in this article is library research, which is a way to collect data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to the research topic. The results of the analysis show the meaning of educational supervision, the purpose of educational supervision, the function of educational supervision, the meaning of evaluation, the purpose of evaluation in education and the function of evaluation in education in order to achieve a clear direction in understanding supervision and evaluation in educational administration.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate students' social interactions in higher education and the factors that influence these interactions. The research results show that some students experience difficulties in interacting due to the large number of assignments and academic competition. Apart from that, cultural differences and fear of other people's judgment also become obstacles for some students in interacting. This research also found that participation in student organizations can increase students' social interactions, as well as influence a person's social interaction behavior. The conclusion of this research is that students' social interactions in higher education are influenced by several factors, including assignments, academic competition, cultural differences, and fear of other people's judgment.

Abstract

Elderly is a condition where a person experiences a gradual process of change. Changes experienced by the elderly include physical or health, biological, cognitive, social psychological and economic changes. In general, the elderly have very significant health or physical changes, the elderly will experience a decrease in health and are susceptible to disease if they do not have an understanding of their body condition. The elderly Posyandu was established to provide health checks and education to the elderly and their families to pay more attention to the condition of the elderly. The purpose of this study is to explain the role of the posyandu's role on the elderly, to what extent the welfare of the elderly is after the existence of the elderly posyandu in Gunung Bandung village.

Abstract

This research explores the success of character education in Japan to support the Character Education Strengthening Program (PPK) in Indonesia. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a literature review. Firstly, the study elucidates the Japanese education system, which incorporates character education as an integral part of the curriculum. Secondly, the principles of character education in Japan are delineated to provide a profound understanding of the values applied in the development of students' character. Subsequently, the research analyzes the success factors and challenges in character education in Japan, highlighting aspects that can be adopted or avoided in the Indonesian context. Fourth, the potential application of the Japanese character education model in Indonesia is explored, with a focus on positive changes that can occur in the mindset and behavior of students. Finally, implementation efforts in Indonesia are scrutinized through an understanding of the necessary changes in the education system and community support.  The results of this research are expected to provide guidance for the implementation of PPK in Indonesia, considering Japan's successful experience in shaping students' character through qualitative and literature-based approaches. This study can serve as a foundation for the development of policies and practices in character education that are more effective and relevant in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of adolescence which is a transition phase from childhood to adulthood. This phase involves significant physical, cognitive, emotional, and social changes. Physical development is characterized by rapid body growth and sexual development. Meanwhile, cognitive development includes an increase in abstract thinking and problem solving abilities. Adolescent emotional development often includes emotional turmoil and a search for self-identity. On the social side, adolescents experience an increase in interactions with peers and exploration of romantic relationships. Internal and external factors such as family environment, peers, and social media also influence adolescent development. This study highlights the importance of a deep understanding of adolescence to support holistic adolescent growth and development.

Abstract

Lack of knowledge about nutrition causes nutritional deficiencies in adolescent growth and development, this can be overcome through nutritional education. This research aims to develop outreach media in the form of E-Booklets. This type of research uses research and development (Research and Development) with a 4D model. This research consists of four stages, namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. This research only reached the Development stage due to time constraints. The instrument in this research used a questionnaire. E-Booklet media validation was carried out by 2 material validators, obtaining an average percentage of 95.8% and 2 media validators obtaining an average percentage of 90.5% with the criteria Very Fulfilling. The research subjects were 35 class VIII junior high school students at SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo Regency. Student responses obtained an average percentage of 89.53%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the E-Booklet media is declared suitable as an outreach media.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a widespread issue in Indonesia, particularly in the Jabodetabek area, and there is a need for assistance in handling these cases. Various forms of sexual violence, most of which target women, require the help of organizations like LBH APIK to provide legal assistance and defend the women’s right, especially victims of sexual violence. The figure behind the community of LBH APIK is Paralegal, which plays a significant role in managing cases, especially those related to sexual violence. This article is written with the intention of delving deeper into the role of LBH APIK, specifically paralegals, in handling sexual violence cases in the Jabodetabek area. The source of this article is the YouTube channel Watch Doc Documentary, with a data collection method based on national and international journal studies. The final result of this writing is that Paralegal has two faces in their work, which can be analyzed by using Erving Goffman’s dramaturgy theory.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a global crisis, affecting millions of people across nearly all countries, including Indonesia. In response, the Indonesian government implemented a policy known as Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM), or Enforcing Restrictions on Community Activities. This policy significantly impacted various sectors, with the education sector being one of the most affected. Universities and schools were required to switch from traditional face-to-face learning to online distance learning. While this approach was necessary to reduce virus transmission, it posed numerous challenges for students, including issues related to mental health, academic pressure, and limited social interaction. One crucial factor that can influence students’ psychological well-being during such times is the role and contribution of peers within academic groups.This study aimed to examine the relationship between the contribution of friends in group work and the level of stress experienced by undergraduate students of Universitas Airlangga during the 2021/2022 academic year amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. This research employed an analytic observational study design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 75 respondents were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the chi-square correlation test. The results revealed that there was no statistically significant relationship between gender and the contribution of group members with students' stress levels during the period of online learning. These findings suggest that other factors may play a more dominant role in influencing students’ psychological stress during remote education. Further studies are recommended to explore additional variables that may affect student stress during online learning environments in pandemic situations.

Abstract

This research is based on the rapid development of the times which has reduced students' interest in learning, especially in social studies subjects. Therefore, in developing interest in learning, it is necessary to update the learning model. For that, it can be underlined about the expected learning process, namely that during learning students are able to be active. With this, the research contains the application of the course review horay method to student learning outcomes. The method used is a qualitative approach, the type of research is (PTK) Classroom Action Research. There are various stages of research, namely Planning, Implementation, Observation, Reflection. The results after the research was applied were at the beginning of the meeting a Pre-test was held to measure students' understanding of the material on social institutions with the results of student completeness learning as many as an average student score of 77.77, a completeness level of 67%, as many as 18 students completed and 9 students did not complete. And to improve learning outcomes again, 2 Cycles were held with the average score of the Post-test Cycle I, namely the average score increased by 80 and the percentage of completion was 70% with 19 students completing and 8 students not completing, until the assessment results increased in the Post-test Cycle II with an average score of 93.66 and a completion score of 93% until 25 students completed and 2 did not complete. Because the completion of student learning outcomes has reached 93%, the cycle will be stopped. From the results that have been obtained, it can be concluded that the Application of the Course Review Horay method can improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kalidawir, Tulungagung Regency.
