Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are businesses operated by individuals, households, or small organizations, commonly characterized by limited annual turnover, assets, and number of employees. A significant issue among MSMEs is the lack of separation between business and personal finances, leading to ineffective financial management and the absence of professional systems. This challenge often results in difficulties in tracking inventory and transaction data accurately. In response to this issue, this community engagement project aims to implement a Point of Sale (POS) application as a practical solution for improving financial and operational efficiency within MSMEs. The initial implementation was conducted with a partner MSMEs in Purbalingga, Alima Makmur, which operates in retail paint. To further evaluate the benefits and adaptability of the POS system, the implementation was extended to members of the Ecoprint MSMEs Forum in Purbalingga. The results show that 4 out of 5 MSMEs successfully adopted and independently operated the POS application. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on digital adoption in micro-enterprises and provides practical implications for enhancing business sustainability through simple technological interventions.

Abstract

Character education plays a vital role in shaping children's attitudes, personalities, and values. One key element of character education is the ability to cooperate, a skill that should be nurtured from an early age to support children's social development and integration within their communities. This community service initiative introduces the RUBIKONS (Guidance and Counseling House) program, developed by counseling and guidance students, as a platform for enhancing children’s social-emotional skills through a combination of non-formal education and psychoeducational activities. The project employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, emphasizing cooperation between researchers and community stakeholders. The main partner in this initiative was the Ulu Gedong Subdistrict Office, which served as the institutional supporter and coordinator. The program targeted children aged 6–13 years and involved a series of structured group activities designed to foster teamwork and cooperative behavior. Results indicated a notable improvement in the children's ability to cooperate effectively within group settings. This initiative highlights the potential of structured psychoeducational interventions to support character education and social development in community-based settings.

Abstract

This community-based training initiative aims to enhance the digital media competencies of mathematics teachers using Powtoon for developing engaging educational content. The program was implemented in sequential phases: planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. During the planning phase, coordination was established with partner schools and core implementation teams were formed. The training program was then introduced and collaboratively scheduled with the participants. In the action phase, teachers participated in hands-on workshops focused on designing instructional media using the Powtoon application. Observations during the implementation showed active teacher engagement and progressive skill acquisition. The evaluation and reflection phases highlighted the program’s effectiveness and areas for improvement. Follow-up mentoring ensured sustainability by guiding teachers in independently producing animated learning content. Conducted at Senior High School Number 2 Tanjung Jabung Barat—home to the senior high school mathematics teacher’s association (MGMP in Bahasa)—this program successfully enabled senior high school mathematics teachers to integrate Powtoon into their instructional practices. The training not only fostered digital creativity but also promoted collaborative professional development. This initiative demonstrates a scalable model for empowering educators in rural areas with relevant digital tools to enhance teaching quality.

Abstract

This study explores the digitalization of debtor document archives at BRI Regional Office Denpasar, aiming to address the inefficiencies of manual document management. Prior to this study, debtor document management was performed manually, resulting in delays in document retrieval and prolonged credit decision-making times. This study introduces a novel approach by implementing a digital archive system using spreadsheets, which significantly improves operational efficiency, document accessibility, and security. The methodology employed follows the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) cycle, which includes interviews, data collection, and iterative evaluations. The findings of this study show that digitalizing debtor documents significantly reduced retrieval times, enhanced the speed of credit decision-making, and streamlined administrative processes. The implementation of this system also allowed for real-time access to debtor documents, improving organizational control and document security. The study contributes to the literature by demonstrating the effectiveness of digital archiving in the banking sector and highlights the potential for broader adoption of digital solutions in similar financial institutions. The implications of this study suggest that digital archive systems can significantly enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Abstract

Each family member must have the skills to support each other in improving the family's welfare. Husbands and fathers, as heads of the family, must be able to manage all family activities. As the family's financial manager, the mother has the authority to manage all family income well so that it can be used to meet the family's needs. Mothers and children can also contribute to finding sources of revenue for the family. This community service activity (PkM) is carried out by improving the skills of mothers and young women to manage family finances and strengthen business skills as an alternative source of family income. The business skills provided are sewing traditional community clothing at the activity partner's location. All participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the training activities. This was evident from the discussion and the many questions asked by group members. Members and prospective group members hope that training activities to improve skills for women can continue to be carried out in the future.

The ethical use of technology refers to the moral guidelines governing how we utilize technology, including the internet, social media, and other digital devices. At Junior High School (SMP in Bahasa) Ash-Sholihin, many students lack a clear understanding of proper technological ethics, particularly in social media usage. This community service initiative aims to educate students on ethical technology practices in social media. The method employed involves socialization that emphasizes the importance of applying ethical principles in social media use. Activities include material presentations, case studies, and interactive Q&A sessions to enhance students' ethical skills in social media engagement. The target audience for this initiative is the 8th-grade students of SMP Ash-Sholihin. Post-test results indicate that the majority of participants found the material presentation clear, the socialization engaging, and the overall experience beneficial.
