Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability among Indonesian students, particularly in Islamic-based secondary schools, remains low, partly because classroom instruction rarely connects trigonometry to the scientific heritage of Islamic civilization. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an Integrative Learning Model based on Rubu' Al-Mujayyab Media (ILM-RAM), a digitally enhanced quarter-circle astronomical instrument integrated with problem-based learning and ethnomathematics, to improve students' mathematical problem-solving ability. This study used a Research and Development approach with the ADDIE model, producing a teacher guidebook, student textbook, student activity sheets, lesson plans, and an Arduino-enhanced Rubu' Al-Mujayyab instrument, which were tested in two field trials involving Grade X students at a Muhammadiyah senior high school in North Sumatra, Indonesia (n = 26 per trial). Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teaching-management observation, student response questionnaires, and problem-solving tests, then analyzed using product-moment validity, Cronbach's Alpha reliability, and normalized N-Gain. The learning devices and instruments were rated valid by five experts (mean scores 4.06–4.26 of 5), with very high item validity (r = 0.82–0.98) and good reliability. After revision following the first trial (69% classical mastery; below 80% positive response on most aspects), the second trial showed strong practicality (teacher-management score 4.08, "good" category; 87–100% positive student response) and high effectiveness (88.5% classical mastery; mean N-Gain = 0.60, medium category). The novelty of this study lies in operationalizing classical Islamic scientific heritage as a functional, technology-based pedagogical medium within a systematically validated integrative model, rather than merely as a symbolic cultural reference.

Abstract

In Malaysia, sharia financial literacy is a very important issue, especially among educational institutions that are oriented towards Islamic education, such as the Al-Fikh Orchard Educational Institution. In this case, the application of an AI-based interactive learning model can be an innovative solution that not only increases students' interest in learning but also deepens their understanding of sharia financial literacy. By utilizing AI technology, especially through platforms such as Quizizz AI, the learning process can be tailored to individual student needs, provide more precise evaluations, and create a more engaging and interactive learning experience. The aim of this research is to provide an AI-based learning model to increase sharia financial literacy at the Al-Fikh Orchard Malaysia Education Institute, by utilizing platforms such as Quizizz AI which can help develop interactive learning and evaluation modules. It is hoped that this research can make a significant contribution in increasing learning effectiveness and can be adapted by other educational institutions. The stages of this research method start from identifying the problem of low sharia financial literacy at the Al-Fikh Orchard Malaysia Education Institute, then collecting literature studies and previous research regarding the research theme, then after identification, problem classification and problem focus, research is carried out by creating a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with stakeholders from the Al-Fikh Orchard Malaysia Education Institute.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial intention has become an important determinant of entrepreneurial behavior among university students, particularly in developing economies where graduate unemployment remains a significant challenge. This study aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention and investigate the mediating role of perceived behavioral control in this relationship. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey of undergraduate students from eight public universities in East Java, Indonesia. Data were collected from students who had completed entrepreneurship courses and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention and perceived behavioral control. Furthermore, perceived behavioral control significantly influences entrepreneurial intention. The mediation analysis indicates that perceived behavioral control partially mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention, suggesting that entrepreneurship education strengthens entrepreneurial intention both directly and indirectly through enhancing students’ confidence in their entrepreneurial capabilities. The novelty of this study lies in integrating entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention through the mediating mechanism of perceived behavioral control within the Theory of Planned Behavior framework in the context of Indonesian higher education. These findings contribute to entrepreneurship literature by providing empirical evidence of the psychological process through which entrepreneurship education fosters entrepreneurial intention. Practically, the study implies that universities should emphasize experiential and competency-based entrepreneurship learning to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial confidence and encourage entrepreneurship as a viable career choice.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore teacher strategies for cultivating students' Basic Science Process Skills during static fluid learning in a natural classroom setting. A naturalistic qualitative approach was employed at Senior High School 10 Kota Jambi, involving one physics teacher and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña supported by NVivo 14 software. The findings revealed that the teacher systematically cultivated students' Basic Science Process Skills through demonstrations, structured observations, laboratory experiments, collaborative discussions, and laboratory worksheets. These strategies effectively developed students' abilities in observing, classifying, measuring, communicating, predicting, and drawing conclusions throughout the learning process. The originality of this study lies in providing comprehensive qualitative evidence of teacher strategies that cultivate all six Basic Science Process Skills through authentic physics classroom practices supported by NVivo-assisted analysis. The findings contribute to physics education by offering practical guidance for designing inquiry-oriented learning that systematically strengthens students’ science process skills.
