Abstract

This community development programme (PKM) aims to improve the economic welfare of the community through participatory and empowerment approaches. Bugih Village, located in Pamekasan Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency, has the potential of natural resources that have not been optimally utilised and faces economic problems such as unemployment and low income. The programme began with the identification of local problems and potential, followed by activity planning and targeting of participants. The methods used include training in entrepreneurial skills, mentoring micro-enterprises, and providing access to capital, with active involvement of the community in each stage. The results of the programme show a significant impact on the community's economy, including an increase in income and a decrease in the unemployment rate. Residents who previously relied on informal employment are now able to run more productive micro-enterprises. The training and mentoring provided improved the technical skills and business knowledge of the community, enabling them to manage their businesses more effectively and compete in the market. The assisted micro-enterprises experienced increased production and sales, and gained better access to capital and technology. Analyses show the effectiveness of the participatory approach and empowerment strategies, despite barriers such as limited access to capital and resistance to change from some communities. Enabling factors for success include local government support and active participation of residents. The implications of the programme include strengthened social solidarity and improved local economic capacity, with the expectation that continued support from various parties will ensure the sustainability of the programme and a positive long-term impact on the well-being and economic independence of the community in Kelurahan Bugih.

Abstract

Teachers today are not only required to be competent in learning activities, but teachers are also required to be skilled at writing scientific papers. From the competence in writing scientific papers, teacher competence in learning activities will automatically increase, because writing is part of literacy. Writing scientific papers requires continuous practice and also requires good reading competence. Teachers who have reading competence will have writing competence. Ironically, many teachers do not have writing competence, because teachers' reading ability is low. That is why this Community Service activity is carried out. The target of Community Service is the teacher at SMKN 1 Sepulu Bangkalan. Community service is carried out in three stages, namely socialization, training and mentoring. From these three stages, teachers as participants can write scientific papers using good and correct Indonesian.

Abstract

Internet media with its offers, choice of various sites and freedom of access is like a double-edged sword, on the one hand it can have a positive impact and on the other hand it can have a negative impact. To avoid crime in cyberspace, we always emphasize the basic principles that must be known when using the internet. Basic principles in the real world also apply in the virtual world. Healthy and safe use of the internet needs to be instilled from an early age through learning healthy internet ethics. This needs to be conveyed to avoid bad habits in the real world being carried over into the virtual world and causing negative effects in the real world. This service activity carried out by lecturers from Indonesian partner universities carries the theme "Healthy and Responsible Use of the Internet in Marketing Way Tebing Cepa Tourism (WTC) Kalianda, South Lampung Regency" where the aim of this activity is to provide knowledge to Way Tebing Cepa tourism managers in using the internet both in promotions and otherwise in order to avoid unhealthy and irresponsible internet use.

Abstract

The lava lamp exercise with the children of kebonsari urban village, citangkil sub-district is a fun and educational activity that involves making simple lava lamps using materials easily found at home. This study aims to explore the children's experience of the lava lamp experiment, and its impact on their understanding of basic chemistry concepts, and chemical interactions. Through a teaching approach based on simple science experiments and participatory observation, children were given the opportunity to experiment with a mixture of oil, water, and coloring agents to create interesting visual effects in their own lava lamps. The results showed that this practice not only increased children's interest in science, but also strengthened collaborative skills, and understanding of basic experimental concepts. This experiment highlights the importance of experiential and interactive learning approaches in developing childrens I nterest in science.

Abstract

Village fund management is a key element in accelerating development in rural areas. This article evaluates the management of village funds in 2024 in Rantau Kermas Village, Jangkat District, Merangin Regency, Jambi Province, with a focus on projects to improve farming roads and normalize river water for rice fields. The methodology used involves active community participation in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, with technical assistance from students of the Ahmad Dahlan Institute of Technology and Business (ITB AD) Jakarta. The research results show that improving the 4 kilometer long agricultural road succeeded in increasing accessibility and reducing agricultural operational costs, while normalizing the 3 kilometer river succeeded in improving irrigation and reducing the risk of flooding, thereby increasing agricultural productivity. The principles of transparency and accountability are implemented through the formation of a Village Fund Management Team (TPDD) and regular reporting involving all elements of society. The discussion identified challenges such as limited capacity of village officials and resistance to change, which were successfully overcome through training and a participatory approach. The implications of this research show that effective village fund management can be a model for other villages in achieving sustainable and inclusive development.

Abstract

The majority of people living in Kelurahan Batang Beruh, Sidikalang Sub-district, Dairi Regency are school-age children between 6 and 12 years old. Children at this age are active learners. Therefore, innovation is needed in the organization of tutoring and reading terraces to increase insight, information and knowledge. Because with knowledge, children can at least begin to understand what they have ignored and considered unimportant, and turn it into something useful to improve their lives. The existence of reading fun for kids aims to stimulate children's interest in learning and reading, provide reading materials and places to study, provide satisfaction for parents for their children's love of learning and is a solution to increase motivation. improve and encourage learning and reading. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. This method keeps the data obtained from interviews and documents, but describes the activities more clearly and in detail. Abstract

Increasing brand awareness is an important strategy to foster strong customer relationships, drive business growth, and strengthen the company's position in the market. Continuous brand awareness is very important, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who want to expand their market reach. Bakso Raja Sapi, an MSME in the food industry, has traditionally operated with a conventional business model, without focusing on marketing expansion. Through observations and interviews with business owners, it is clear that there is a need to increase their brand awareness. This community service activity is designed to address this gap by providing mentoring and practical insights on effective marketing tactics. This initiative aims to equip Bakso Raja Sapi with the necessary skills and knowledge to increase brand awareness. The results of this assistance include the development of visually appealing banner designs, the implementation of price bundling strategies, and the creation and management of social media presence. Community service activities show a substantial increase in the understanding and ability of owners to carry out marketing promotions to strengthen brand awareness. These efforts are expected to make Bakso Raja Sapi able to build a stronger brand identity and increase its competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

This service was carried out in Perian Village involving several elements consisting of the local community, regional office, village government and KKN participants. The aim of this service is that it is hoped that participants can understand the factors that cause sexual violence and can avoid it, thereby creating a space for movement that is safe and free from the threat of violence. The methods used in this service are the lecture method, FDG and two-way discussion between resource persons and participants. Whatever the results of this service, Perian Village is still classified as vulnerable to sexual violence, therefore it is hoped that the local community will be more alert and the relevant government should pay attention to the risks for perpetrators as early as possible through the formation of regulations and sanctions for perpetrators and intense guidance for victims so that victims not disturbed by his psychology.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common and serious health problems in society, which can cause complictions such as heart disease, stroke and kidney failure. This study examines the use of starfruit leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi) as an adjuvant therapy in the treatment of hypertension. The aim of this community service program is to increase public knowledge and understanding of the benefits of starfruit leaves in the treatment of hypertension, as well as provide education on how to process starfruit leaves into a safe and effective herbal concoction. The results of the pre-test and post-test obtained showed that the pre-test percentage was correct at 88.7% and the percentage value incorrect was 12.3%, while the post-test percentage correct was 98.7% and the percentage value incorrect was 2.3%. The conclusion of this program is that education regarding the use of starfruit leaves can increase public understanding about alternative treatments for hypertension based on local plants.
