Abstract

Increasing the value of a banking company based on Islamic corporate theory is not only about financial profit, but also about sustainability, justice, and blessings in business. This study aims to reveal and analyze the role of Asset and Liability Management (ALMA) as a form of accountability to humans, Islamic Corporate Social Responsibility (ICSR) as a form of accountability to nature, and zakat as a form of accountability to God in optimizing company value based on Islamic Corporate Theory. This study is a quantitative study with a causal associative research type, the population in this study is 14 Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression with e-Views as an analytical tool. The results show that Asset and Liability Management (ALMA) and Islamic Corporate Social Responsibility (ICSR) have a positive effect on the value of Islamic banking companies, while zakat does not affect the value of Islamic banking companies; this is because the role of Islamic banking in collecting zakat funds is not optimal. Simultaneously, 96% of company value can be explained by three independent variables: ALMA, ICSR, and Zakat. Meanwhile, other variables outside the model explain the remaining 4%. This figure indicates a significant influence, meaning that ALMA, ICSR, and Zakat, if properly managed in Islamic banking, can become pillars for increasing the value of Islamic banking companies. The novelty of this research is that these three pillars should be a focus for Islamic banks to increase company value, particularly in strengthening their role in collecting zakat funds.

Abstract

The non-cash food assistance (BPNT) policy has been implemented in Indonesia to improve the distribution and utilization of social assistance, with the goal of strengthening household food security, increasing access to quality food, and supporting the local economic circulation. Although this policy has great potential, its implementation in urban areas, including in Lampung Province, faces significant challenges, such as limited infrastructure, gaps in digital service accessibility, logistical constraints, and low digital literacy among beneficiaries. Additionally, food price instability and a lack of distribution oversight pose obstacles to the success of this policy. This study aims to evaluate the challenges in implementing BPNT in Lampung Province and analyze its impact on food security. The results show that strengthening digital literacy, developing technological infrastructure, and cross-sector collaboration are key to improving policy effectiveness. Continuous evaluation and a holistic approach integrating social, economic, and technological factors are necessary to achieve long-term success in supporting food security for the poor in urban areas.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of a medical equipment maintenance management system in the Medical Facilities Maintenance Installation (IPSRS Medis) of RSUD Kota Bogor. This study underlines the important role of medical equipment maintenance to ensure efficient hospital operations and minimize the risk of equipment failure, which can have a negative impact on the quality of health services. This study aims to evaluate the availability of human resources, budget, and supporting facilities required for effective medical equipment maintenance. A qualitative research approach was adopted, combining data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation analysis. The findings of the study revealed that the implementation of a maintenance management system in RSUD Kota Bogor has not been fully effective. Several challenges still exist, including a lack of skilled human resources, budget constraints, and inadequate supporting facilities. This study suggests increasing the quantity and skill level of human resources, improving budget planning, and strengthening the monitoring and evaluation system to ensure that medical equipment operates consistently. It is hoped that these insights will provide valuable guidance for the management of medical equipment in hospitals and contribute to improving the quality of health services in RSUD Kota Bogor.

Abstract

This study investigates the critical challenge of achieving net-zero emissions in Southeast Asian heavy industries, employing a mixed-method approach combining quantitative analysis of 300 companies and qualitative case studies of six organizations. We examine the efficacy of sustainability management strategies, implementation frameworks, and performance measurement systems in accelerating net-zero transitions. Our findings reveal that companies with structured implementation frameworks are 3.7 times more likely to achieve net-zero targets on schedule (p < 0.001), while robust performance measurement systems correlate with a 2.5-year acceleration in target achievement (β = -2.5, p < 0.01). We develop and validate a novel implementation framework and a tailored Balanced Scorecard for net-zero initiatives. This research contributes to the literature by proposing an integrated model linking sustainability strategy, implementation mechanisms, and performance outcomes in net-zero transitions. Our findings offer theoretical insights into organizational change dynamics and provide evidence- based tools for industry practitioners and policymakers in high-emission sectors

Abstract

There is a dearth of studies addressing how EFL students as peer supporters construct their identities and participate in assisting students with disabilities (SWD) in the process of learning completion in higher education. To fill this lacuna, the current narrative study explores how an Indonesian English student’s identity evolved over time as a result of her involvement as a peer supporter in inclusive learning. Data were garnered from a life history interview, and it was then analyzed using the temporal, personal-social, and place-based three-dimensional frameworks of narrative inquiry proposed by Clandinin and Connelly (2006). The analysis suggests that the participant in the current study gradually negotiated her identity in a challenging classroom and non-classroom environment that was influenced by time, personal-social, and geographical factors. The study also showed how the participant's experiences as a peer supporter for students with disabilities led to ongoing, enduring identity changes

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of disaster vulnerability in Demak Regency, an area highly exposedto tidal flooding, coastal erosion, and extreme weather. The objective of the research is toformulate a community participation-based disaster education model that strengthenspreparedness and resilience at the local level. Theoretically, the study draws on disaster riskreduction frameworks emphasizing community empowerment, participatory education, andintegration of local wisdom. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitativeZ-score analysis of disaster data from 2020–2022 with qualitative thematic analysis using NVivoto assess literature, policy documents, and community practices. The results reveal that disasterhazards in Demak are spatially varied: Sayung District is categorized as high-hazard, Guntur asmedium, while twelve other sub-districts fall into the low category. These findings highlight thenecessity of contextualized disaster education tailored to specific local hazards. The proposedmodel integrates schools, communities, and cultural traditions to enhance disaster literacy, fostersocial cohesion, and improve adaptive capacity. The conclusion emphasizes that a participatory,location-specific education framework is more effective than uniform approaches and can bereplicated in other disaster-prone regions. The novelty of this study lies in combining empiricalhazard mapping with community participation principles to design a disaster education modelthat is both data-driven and socially embedded, thereby bridging gaps between statistical riskassessment and local educational practice.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the world's largest bauxite producers, which since 2023 has implemented a policy prohibiting the export of raw ore as part of its national mineral downstreaming strategy. This policy aims to increase domestic added value, strengthen economic sovereignty, and support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 on decent work and inclusive economic growth. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Indonesia's bauxite downstreaming policy from the perspective of international political economy and sustainable development diplomacy, highlighting economic, social, and institutional dimensions. The method used is a qualitative approach through policy analysis, secondary data from BPS, ESDM, and international scientific publications. The results show that the national alumina refining capacity increased from 1.4 million tons in 2021 to ±5.3 million tons in 2024, accompanied by an expansion of foreign investment, mainly from China. However, this increase in capacity has not been fully accompanied by an improvement in job quality, as 61% of workers in this sector are still on contract with limited skills upgrading. In addition, institutional inequality and the dominance of foreign investors indicate the continued weakness of national control in the global alumina value chain. In conclusion, the downstreaming of Indonesian bauxite has contributed to economic growth and sustainable industrial diplomacy, but its success depends on institutional reform, strengthening national technology, and integrating social aspects so that the transition from extraction to inclusive industrialization can truly be realized in a fair and sustainable manner.
