Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of the Bandung City Government during the 2020–2024 period using the financial independence ratio, effectiveness ratio, and financial growth ratio. This analysis is important considering the strategic role of Bandung City as a center of government and economic activity in West Java Province, making the management of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) an important factor in supporting regional development. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method using secondary data in the form of Budget Realization Reports obtained from the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. The data were analyzed through the calculation of regional financial ratios. The results indicate that the financial independence ratio falls into the high to very high category with a delegative relationship pattern. The effectiveness ratio of local own-source revenue shows improvement but remains in the less effective category, particularly during the pandemic period. Meanwhile, revenue and expenditure growth ratios fluctuate, with declines during the pandemic and recovery in subsequent years.

Abstract

Stunting and malnutrition in early childhood remain serious global health issues, particularly in Indonesia. According to the 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), the national stunting prevalence reached 21.6%, a decrease from the previous year, but still above the WHO threshold of 20%. This situation reflects a gap between nutritional intervention theory and the reality of implementation in the field, particularly in the aspect of early detection of growth and development. This study used a literature review method by reviewing various relevant national and international research results from 2019–2024. The results indicate that the implementation of the Early Growth and Development Stimulation, Detection, and Intervention (SDIDTK) program plays a crucial role in identifying growth and development disorders due to malnutrition and stunting in early childhood. Integrated implementation of SDIDTK with health and education services has been shown to increase the effectiveness of interventions and accelerate the reduction of stunting rates. In conclusion, strengthening the early detection system for growth and development through cross-sectoral synergy is a fundamental strategy for creating a healthy and high-quality generation of Indonesian children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design a business model for the Urban Traffic Fashion Store in Medan, which faces intense competition and does not yet have a written, conceptualized business model. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach and SWOT analysis. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with the owner, employees, distributors, and customers. The results show that Urban Traffic's current business model still operates based on instinct and focuses strongly on physical stores. The main strength of this business lies in its value proposition of curating up-to-date products at affordable prices and personal styling services. However, significant weaknesses were identified, namely manual stock management, a heavy reliance on Instagram channels, and a revenue stream that only comes from physical sales. Therefore, this study resulted in the design of a new hybrid and integrated business model, with the main proposals being the digitization of stock management, diversification of sales channels to e-commerce and TikTok Shop, and the addition of new revenue streams from digital sales and partnerships with content creators.

Abstract

The development of nutritional science shows a paradigm shift from quantitative nutritional fulfillment to a more comprehensive approach oriented towards the quality of early childhood growth and development. This study aims to examine the development of the concept of macro and micronutrients and analyze their implications for the growth and development of early childhood. This study used a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method. Data sources were obtained from academic books and articles from accredited national and reputable international journals published between 2020 and 2024. The data were analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis to identify key concepts, patterns of findings, and the relationship between nutritional fulfillment and child development. The results of the study indicate that the concept of macronutrients has evolved from merely a source of energy to become an important component in brain development, the immune system, and metabolic regulation, while micronutrients play a strategic role in immune function, neurodevelopment, and the prevention of developmental disorders. A balanced provision of macro and micronutrients has been shown to have positive implications for physical growth, cognitive development, language, socio-emotional development, and the long-term health of early childhood. This study emphasizes the importance of an integrative and holistic approach to nutrition as a basis for planning sustainable early childhood nutrition interventions.

Abstract

Early childhood development is the main foundation for the quality of human resources in the future, therefore it requires serious attention through early detection and efforts to optimize sustainable growth and development. This article aims to examine the concept of early detection of early childhood growth and development and analyze its role in optimizing child development based on the findings of the latest research. This research uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method. Data sources were obtained from academic books, articles from national journals accredited by SINTA 1–3, and reputable international journals published between 2020–2024. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis and thematic analysis to identify key concepts, patterns of findings, and the relationship between early detection and optimization of early childhood growth and development. The results of the study indicate that early detection is a systematic process that encompasses aspects of physical growth, cognitive development, language, socio-emotional, and child behavior. Early detection followed by appropriate stimulation and intervention has been shown to have positive implications for optimizing child growth and development holistically. This study confirms that early detection functions not only as a screening tool, but also as a strategic foundation in planning integrated, collaborative, and sustainable early childhood development stimulation.

Abstract

Phonetics is a branch of linguistics that studies human speech sounds from articulatory, acoustic, and auditory aspects. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the basic concepts of phonetics, its scope, and its role and application in linguistics, language education, technology, and social life. This study uses a literature study method by reviewing various scientific sources in the form of relevant books and journal articles. Data are analyzed descriptively qualitatively to reveal the position of phonetics as a foundation in the analysis of language sounds. The results of the study indicate that phonetics plays a fundamental role in explaining the process of sound production, the physical characteristics of sound, and the mechanisms of human auditory perception. In addition to serving as a basis for the study of phonology, phonetics also contributes significantly to language learning, speech therapy, the development of speech recognition technology, and forensic analysis. Thus, phonetics is not only theoretical, but also applicable and interdisciplinary, and plays a vital role in understanding language as a complex and dynamic human communication system.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the syntactic structure of nominal sentences in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) by emphasizing the constituent components, structural patterns, and functional relationships between mubtada? (subject) and khabar (predicate) in various contexts of language use. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with data sources in the form of contemporary Arabic texts, including scientific journal articles, academic texts, and Arabic-language mass media. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques by identifying variations in the structure of the number of ismiyyah, types of khabar, element placement patterns, and accompanying pragmatic functions. The results show that although the basic structure of nominal sentences in MSA still maintains the traditional mubtada?–khabar pattern, its realization in contemporary discourse shows high flexibility. Variations in nominal structures are influenced by genre factors, information focus, and the speaker's communicative purpose. Nominal sentences in academic texts tend to be definitional and stable, while those in mass media are concise, informative, and persuasive. This study concludes that the nominal sentence structure in Modern Arabic not only represents grammatical rules, but also functions as a semantic and pragmatic strategy in discourse management.

Abstract

The processing and interpretation of evaluation scores is a crucial step in learning assessment because it determines the validity of information regarding student learning outcomes. Technological developments have driven significant changes in evaluation data processing techniques, from manual approaches to the use of digital technology. This article aims to examine manual and digital evaluation score processing techniques and to analyze the process of interpreting evaluation results systematically and meaningfully. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach through a review of various textbooks, journal articles, and scientific documents relevant to educational evaluation and the use of assessment technology. The results of the study indicate that digital-based evaluation data processing has advantages in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and ease of analysis compared to manual techniques, although the manual approach is still relevant under certain conditions. Appropriate analysis and interpretation of evaluation results can help educators understand the level of learning achievement, identify remedial or enrichment needs, and support objective learning decision-making. Thus, mastery of evaluation score processing and interpretation techniques is an important competency for educators in improving the quality of assessment and the learning process.
