Aceh Journal of Community Engagement (AJCE) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan secara online (OJS), yang membahas praktik dan proses keterlibatan masyarakat. Yaitu kegiatan berupa pelatihan, penyuluhan, sosialisasi, bimbingan teknis, pengembangan program dan pengajaran. Edisi pertama terbit pada Agustus 2022 dan kami terbitkan tiga kali setahun (April, Agustus, Desember). Jurnal ini menyediakan forum bagi akademisi, praktisi dan perwakilan masyarakat untuk mengeksplorasi isu-isu dan merefleksikan praktik terkait dengan berbagai kegiatan yang me,ibatkan masyarakat. AJCE merupakan jurnal online peer-review yang didedikasikan untuk publikasi hasil layanan berkualitas tinggi yang berfokus pada pemanfaatan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, budaya dan sosial humaniora. Sesuai dengan namanya, jurnal ini menyebarluaskan isu-isu pelibatan masyarakat di Provinsi Aceh dan nasional, terlepas dari afiliasi penulisnya. Kompleksitas, keunikan dan kearifan lokal di masyarakat menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk ditulis dalam artikel di jurnal ini. Jurnal ini didukung oleh Universitas Almuslim Peusangan Bireuen (Umuslim) yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM Umuslim). Peer reviewer berasal dari beberapa pakar dari perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Dan anggota tim redaksi yang mewakili setiap fakultas di Umuslim.

Abstract

Bener Meriah Regency is one of the central coffee production areas in Aceh Province, especially in Taman Firdaus Village. Coffee bean processing generates waste in the form of coffee husks, which account for approximately 50-60% of the harvest. Therefore, there is a need for innovation to process coffee husks into a delicious coffee husk tea product with high economic value. Consequently, socialization and training activities are required to process coffee husks for target partners who are direct farmers. It is expected that these activities will: 1) increase the income of the community, especially partner groups, 2) become an alternative for partner groups to utilize coffee husks as a product with high economic value, and 3) cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit among partner groups for products produced through the utilization of Arabica coffee husks.

Abstract

The problem of human resource performance, especially village/gampong apparatus in developing BUMG, is still considered not optimal and efficient, this is evident from the BUMG Meunasah Kulam business unit program in Meureudu District, Pidie Jaya Regency since its establishment in 2022 until now, the benefits have not been felt as expected. This is directly and indirectly related to the ability of the human resources of the perpetrators. BUMG Meunasah Kulam, Meurudu District, Pidie Jaya Regency was established in order to develop and empower the economy of village/gampong communities. However, the problems related to BUMG are that they have not fully synergized in developing village potential and have not supported the sustainability of community economic empowerment. Therefore, Pengabdi carries out community service to foster human resources for village apparatus who run BUMG so that they have performance, especially in organizing programs, developing BUMG business units and making transparent and accountable financial reports. And make BUMG Meunasah Kulam, Meureudu District, Pidie Jaya Regency able to develop in the future.

Abstract

One of the biggest challenges in vocational education is the gap between the skills taught in schools and the actual needs in the industry. *Teaching Factory* provides a solution by integrating industrial processes and technologies directly into the curriculum. The implementation mechanism of this community service program is carried out through stages of needs analysis, partnership offers with industry partners, activity execution, and activity evaluation. The results achieved have successfully improved teachers' ability to design and implement more applicable and industry-relevant learning. Although there were some challenges faced, particularly in terms of limited facilities, this activity has had a significant impact on the quality of learning and the readiness of students to work in the industry

Abstract

This community service program is of high urgency, considering the challenges and demands within vocational education in Indonesia. With the advancement of technology and the emergence of Industry 4.0, the skills required by the industry are continuously evolving. Vocational schools need to adapt to these developments to ensure their graduates remain relevant in the job market. The implementation mechanism of this community service program follows stages of problem and needs analysis, offering partnerships with industry partners, carrying out activities, and evaluating the activities. The results obtained show that teachers have gained teaching skills that are more aligned with industry developments, enabling them to deliver content that meets the needs of the business world.

Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants that are planted and cultivated by the community both in the field and in the yard which are used to fulfill the family's need for medicines. Medicinal plants or TOGA are often referred to as the pharmacy of life. The use of TOGA is utilized empirically because of its many properties and low side effects compared to the use of modern drugs when consuming for a long period of time. This socialization aims to increase the knowledge of the community including the efficacy of ginger, the substances contained in ginger, how to make dried instant ginger, how to serve ginger wedang drinks, and how to select quality ginger that meets Indonesian national standards. From this socialization, the community can also utilize TOGA in an effort to improve health.

Abstract

Futsal is one of the many sports that is popular with society today besides football.  Various aspects support the success of playing futsal such as physical, technical, tactical and mental aspects. Technique is an integral part of the sport of futsal, including passing, controlling, dribbling and shooting, which supports the success of tactics to achieve game goals. Therefore, socialization, guidance and training are correct and directed so that the substance and rules contained in the game of futsal are known and implemented by the players.  Especially for beginners. So socialization and training were carried out in the service activities of lecturers and Physical Education teachers for students at SDN 3 Jeumpa, Bireuen Regency. The material is related to the basic rules and techniques in the game of futsal.  As a result of socialization and training, participants understand and can practice the correct way to play futsal.

Abstract

Floor gymnastics itself is included in the group of artistic gymnastics, which is a combination of tumbling and acrobatic aspects to obtain artistic effects with perfection of movement in controlling the body when carrying out various positions and movements carried out on certain equipment. Therefore, basic guidance on exercise is needed, rules and how to do it so that it is not risky. So, technical guidance on floor exercise was carried out for students in grades V and IV of elementary school with the aim of improving gymnastics skills with technical guidance strategies to fill extracurricular activities using the directing method with video presentations, demonstrations and group exercise, where the servants played a direct role as instructors. The results show an increase in training, rules in floor exercise and ways to avoid risks due to exercise containing dangerous movements.

Abstract

Accountability is control over all activities of village officials in managing village funds, and is an important factor in being accountable for managing village funds. The realization of accountability in village fund management cannot be separated from the competence it has so that the implementation of its duties and obligations can be carried out effectively, efficiently and professionally. In this regard, a group of Development Economics lecturers at Bireuen Almuslim University in Aceh Province and students carried out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education service in the form of technical guidance on preparing financial reports according to accounting standards for Suka Ramai Atas village officials, Wih Pesam sub-district, Bener Meriah Regency. So that errors no longer occur in managing village funds and technical reporting. The results of technical guidance provide knowledge and skills to village officials by being able to record transactions and bookkeeping, especially for preparing village budget realization reports (LRA).

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the economy of the people of Desa Paya Cut, Kecamatan Juli, Kabupaten Bireuen, through training in the production of processed banana products. Desa Paya Cut has abundant natural resources in the form of bananas, but their utilization to increase community income is still not optimal. This training will cover various types of processed banana products, such as banana chips, banana dodol, and banana cakes, as well as packaging, storage, and marketing techniques. It is expected that this program can improve the skills of the community in processing bananas, increase the sales of processed banana products, and raise community awareness of the potential of bananas as a source of income

Abstract

This article is a descriptive report on service activities in the form of a digital entrepreneurship training program implemented by MSME administrators in Simpang Jaya Village, Juli District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh. This training program is a service activity for Bireuen Almuslim University lecturers carried out at the Simpang Jaya Gampong Digital Community (RKDG), aimed at equipping local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the skills and knowledge needed to develop in the digital economy. Training covers a wide range of topics, including website and online store creation, search engine optimization (SEO), social media management, and digital advertising strategies. Assistance is also provided in analyzing the effectiveness of the program to empower MSMEs, evaluating participants' perceptions of training output, and exploring their contribution to village economic development. The results of the evaluation, in general, activities were carried out according to the objectives, and participants felt helped, both in terms of knowledge, skills and insight into how to do digital or online entrepreneurship.
