Abstract

Posyandu (integrated health service post) plays a vital role in monitoring child growth and early detection of nutritional problems. However, manual recording methods that are still widely used often result in errors, delays in reporting, and difficulties in accessing data. This community service program aims to improve efficiency and accuracy in data recording through the implementation of a digital system based on QR Code technology and a simple mobile application at Posyandu Orchid, Sawangan, Depok. The program was carried out using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving Posyandu cadres in all stages, including problem identification, system design, training, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The results show that the developed digital system successfully replaces manual recording, speeds up the attendance process for toddlers, and facilitates nutritional status reporting. Furthermore, the program has enhanced the digital literacy of Posyandu cadres and increased parental awareness of the importance of nutritional monitoring. The application of this technology has proven effective in supporting the digital transformation of community-level health services and can be replicated in other Posyandu

Abstract

Sea urchins are a highly nutritious and economically valuable fishery product. In West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), particularly in Lombok, the public is still largely unaware of the benefits and market value of sea urchins in international markets such as Japan and Korea. Sea urchin gonads are consumed by Koreans and Japanese, and their high nutritional content is believed to improve health performance. However, there are obstacles in the sea urchin market development is the lack of proper standard operating procedures in post-harvest handling. Appropriate and standardized post-harvest techniques are not yet widely known or disseminated among sellers and sea urchin business actors. Prima Nusantara Cooperative is one of the cooperatives that supplies fishery products, including sea urchins, to exporting companies. Based on this, the current community service activity was conducted at Prima Nusantara Cooperative in East Lombok, targeting the cooperative staff. The aim is to provide both theoretical socialization and hands-on training to enhance the staff’s knowledge and skills in post-harvest handling of sea urchins. Through this technical guidance, it is expected that the quality of sea urchin products sold to exporters will improve and be more competitive in the Japanese and Korean markets. The method used during the technical training included presentation of materials on proper sea urchin handling procedures, followed by field practice involving sea urchin sampling, hands-on demonstrations, and direct mentoring through each stage of the process. The post-harvest handling stages included harvesting (collection), cleaning, shell breaking, rinsing, weighing, packaging, and storage at low temperatures.

Abstract

Environmental sanitation, hygiene, and access to clean water are crucial factors in preventing infectious diseases that contribute to stunting among children under five. Adequate sanitation facilities—such as the availability of clean water and proper waste disposal systems—are fundamental human needs that support a healthy quality of life. Poor hygiene practices, particularly among young children, can increase the risk of various infectious diseases. Therefore, to sustainably reduce stunting rates, interventions should not only focus on nutritional fulfillment but also encompass improvements in environmental quality, education on clean and healthy living behaviors, and the provision of adequate sanitation facilities. This community service activity was conducted at the Sekotong Community Health Center, West Lombok Regency, targeting mothers aged ≥18 years with children aged 2–4 years. A total of 33 respondents completed questionnaires assessing their household environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), followed by the delivery of educational materials and interactive learning sessions. The results indicated that most respondents used piped water/PDAM (36.36%) and refill water (33.30%) as their main drinking water sources, with the majority reporting good physical water quality (75.75%). Approximately 84.84% of households had latrines, while wastewater management was almost evenly split between closed drainage systems (51.51%) and open drainage (48.48%). Waste management was predominantly through burning (54.54%), though a small proportion (12.12%) still disposed of waste improperly. Handwashing practices among toddlers were relatively good, with 48.48% reported to wash hands with soap and running water at certain times

Abstract

ABSTRACT Climate change is a global challenge that has significant impacts on various sectors of life, particularly agriculture, which relies heavily on climate conditions. The concept of climate-adaptive agriculture, which involves the use of future climate projections, can serve as one solution to address this issue. This Community Service Program was conducted at the Miftahul Jannah Orphanage in Bandar Lampung City, while the farmland managed by the orphanage is located in Natar, South Lampung District, Lampung Province. The program was implemented in the form of agricultural extension activities (lectures, discussions, and demonstrations) in August 2025. Based on the activities, it can be concluded that: (1) through the lectures and discussions, the knowledge of the orphanage members about climate-adaptive farming practices increased by 27%, and (2) through the demonstration activity, the agricultural land of the orphanage was projected to have an Oldeman Climate Type D2 in the next 20 years (2025–2045). Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to empower the residents of Dusun Prabe, Batu Mekar Village, West Lombok Regency, through the utilization of kolang-kaling (sugar palm fruit) as an innovative raw material for the development of healthy, locally-based functional beverages. Traditionally processed with limited added value, kolang-kaling holds great potential to be transformed into economically valuable products. The program was implemented in stages using participatory and educational approaches, including preparation (local potential survey), functional food concept dissemination, technical training, and business mentoring. The outcome of this initiative is the creation of Yogurt Wedang Kolang-Kaling, a functional drink that combines the probiotic benefits of yogurt with the nutrition and distinctive taste of kolang-kaling and traditional spices. This product not only carries economic value but also promotes the preservation of local wisdom. Practical training significantly enhanced community skills and awareness of entrepreneurship opportunities based on local resources. The participants’ enthusiasm and their initiative to continue production independently reflect the program’s success in fostering economic self-reliance. This innovation is expected to serve as a foundation for the development of sustainable and competitive home-scale enterprises. Thus, this activity demonstrates that local food-based innovations can serve as strategic solutions to holistically improve community welfare

Abstract

One of the classic problems often faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is low digital marketing literacy. A similar issue was also experienced by the MSME group fostered by the Jatibening Family Income Improvement Business (UP2K). Without this literacy, MSMEs struggle to develop effective and targeted marketing strategies. The community service team will provide training and mentoring to MSME partners regarding digital marketing strategies as a solution to the existing problem. This community service program is funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (KemdiktiSaintek) of the Republic of Indonesia through the BIMA Grant for the Community Partnership Empowerment scheme for the 2025 funding year. MSME partners were very enthusiastic in participating in the activity. It is hoped that with the right digital marketing strategy, MSME partners can reach a wider market, be more efficient in promotional costs, increase sales, understand consumer behavior, and clearly measure promotional results.

Abstract

RT 04 RW 16, Ngenep Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency faces environmental vulnerability due to a damaged security fence, allowing outsiders to enter and exit freely, increasing the risk of safety disturbances. This problem is worsened by the fact that the housing estate management was abandoned after the developer was declared bankrupt, forcing residents to manage the environment independently. This situation raises concerns about neighborhood security and urges the need for a concrete, collective solution to mitigate the issue. This community service activity aims to reduce environmental vulnerability by designing and constructing a permanent safety fence in a vacant lot prone to security risks as a preventive measure to enhance neighborhood safety. The methods include analyzing the partner's problems, determining priority issues, designing the fence using AutoCAD, and constructing a 7 x 3.25-meter fence consisting of stone foundations, cast pillars, and lightweight brick walls. The results showed that the safety fence was successfully installed as planned, serving as a physical barrier that limits outsider access, enhances residents' sense of security, and fosters community awareness regarding environmental safety. An evaluation of the project revealed a cost efficiency of 17% compared to the initial Budget Plan (RAB). This activity is expected to serve as a practical solution model for other areas facing similar challenges in community-based environmental security management. Moreover, this project has had a positive impact by increasing community solidarity and encouraging a spirit of mutual cooperation among residents to protect their neighborhood environment.
