Abstract

SIM issuance is carried out by the Polres traffic unit, including Satlantas Polres Kampar, which currently stilluses banners to convey information about the flow of SIM issuance. This problem can be overcome by making a websitebased Virtual Tour of the Flow of Making a Driver's License. This Virtual Tour was developed using the PHPprogramming language, CodeIgniter v3 framework, MySQL database, Apache, jQuery, and hardware in the form of InstaNano 360 cameras and iPhone cellphones, as well as software such as Adobe Photoshop. This research aims to facilitatethe public in finding information about the flow of making a driver's license since it can be accessed anytime andanywhere without having to come or ask directly to the location. The method used in this research is the Luther method, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, manufacture, testing, and distribution. The results ofthis study successfully created a Virtual Tour of the flow of making a driver's license that can be accessed through thewebsite, and serves as information that makes it easier for the public to find out the flow of making a driver's license atSatlantas Polres Kampar, with the results of user response reaching an average value of 90.15%.

Abstract

Root nodulation is a crucial process for legumes, including edamame (Glycine max (L.) Merr.), as it enablesbiological nitrogen fixation, enhancing nitrogen availability for plant growth. The implementation of Rhizobiuminoculum has been demonstrated to reduce the necessity for synthetic fertilizers, thereby enhancing the health and yieldof the plants in question. Furthermore, optimal plant population management ensures adequate access to light, water, andnutrients, maximizing productivity. The combination of Rhizobium inoculation and population management represents acrucial strategy for enhancing the productivity and sustainability of legume crops, such as edamame. This study examinesthe impact of Rhizobium inoculation and plant population management on the nodulation and productivity of edamame. The research was conducted using a randomized block design, with two factors: the application of Rhizobium(Bradyrhizobium japonicum) at two levels (without inoculation and with inoculation) and plant spacing (20 x 15 cm and20 x 30 cm). Each treatment was replicated five times. The observed parameters included number of root nodulations, plant height, leaf area, leaf greenness, number of filled and empty pods, weight of filled and empty pods, wet weight, and100 seed weight. The data were subjected to analysis of variance, followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Thefindings indicated that Rhizobium inoculation markedly enhanced root nodulation, with the 20 x 15 cm spacing inconjunction with inoculation yielding the highest total nodulation, number and wight filled pods, wet weight, and 100seed weight.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between inflation, economic growth, and income inequality, focusingon the Riau province. This research uses panel data from 12 districts / cities in Riau province with the period 2018-2022and uses the granger causality test with EViews 13 software. The findings reveal no causal relationship between inflationand income inequality during the observed period, indicating that fluctuations in inflation rates do not predict changes inincome inequality, nor vice versa. This conclusion highlights the significance of government policy, economic structure, education, and labor force participation over inflation. While some studies suggest that moderate inflation may reduceinequality by increasing the value of assets held by lower-income groups, this effect is context-dependent. Furthermore, the analysis of economic growth reveals a complex relationship with income inequality, where the Granger causality testshows no predictive link, especially in developing nations where growth benefits often favor high-income groups.Although some research identifies a causal relationship under specific circumstances, the overall implication is thattargeted policy interventions addressing labor market dynamics and redistribution are essential for mitigating incomeinequality, rather than relying solely on economic growth. The study emphasizes the need for context-specific approachesto understand and address income inequality effectively.

Abstract

Sargassum is a genus of brown algae with significant potential as a bioprospecting material. This seaweed isabundant in Lampung Bay, although it has not yet received the same attention as commercial seaweeds like Gracilaria sp.and Eucheuma sp. The purpose of this study is to inventory the types of active compounds in Sargassum extracts usingsolvents with different polarities. Extraction was carried out using the maceration method with methanol (polar) and nhexane (non-polar) solvents in a 1:3 ratio. Methanol yielded a more optimal quantity and concentration of filtratecompared to n-hexane. Qualitative testing of active compounds was conducted through phytochemical assays, indicatingthe presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols/tannins, and saponins in Sargassum. The target flavonoid compoundwas confirmed by quantitative analysis using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, which revealed a flavonoid content of 7.84grams in the methanol-solvent sample and 3.61 grams in the n-hexane sample. To support its use in aquacultureactivities, further testing for antibacterial activity is required.

Abstract

Padang is a city that is prone to earthquakes and tsunamis due to its location between the India and Asia plateson the west coast and being crossed by the Great Sumatran fault. The Padang coastal region is a strong source ofearthquakes and tsunamis. Despite having experienced earthquakes in 2006, 2007, and 2009, Padang still facesdifficulties in managing tsunami evacuation because of the lack of infrastructure and straight roads from the coast tohigher ground. The presence of rivers in Padang causes the tsunami waves to be concentrated within a 200-meter radiusand the evacuation routes are hindered by the presence of bridges that are not durable against tsunamis and earthquakes.Additionally, traffic congestion after an earthquake exacerbates the evacuation problems. This study aims to map the riskand potential of earthquakes and tsunamis in Padang 3 KM from the coast by comparing population and building datawith the availability of shelters. The Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, as part of Geographic InformationSystem, is used to analyze demographic data and shelter locations. The results show that Koto Tangah is the area with thehighest risk level for earthquakes and tsunamis.
