Abstract

Character education based on Islamic values plays a crucial role in shaping the behavior and morals of adolescents, especially in secondary schools, which are often faced with the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency in secondary schools, such as bullying, drug abuse, and brawls, poses a significant challenge in moral and social education. In this context, the implementation of character education based on Islamic values can be an effective solution to address these issues. Islamic values, such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and compassion, can be instilled in students' daily lives through learning, role models, and extracurricular activities. This approach is expected to shape adolescents who excel not only academically but also possess good character, discipline, and responsibility in their personal and social interactions. Character education based on Islamic principles offers students a comprehensive moral framework, helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence in a more constructive way. This study aims to explore the potential of character education based on Islamic values in overcoming juvenile delinquency in secondary schools. The methods used include a literature review and observation of the implementation of character education in several secondary schools. The results indicate that strengthening character education based on Islamic values has a positive impact, as students become more responsible, empathetic, and socially aware. Therefore, the implementation of character education based on Islamic values in secondary schools is essential in shaping a generation that is morally upright and prepared to face global challenges.

Abstract

The reform and renewal of Islamic education in Indonesia focus on enhancing its relevance to the needs of modern society as well as advancements in technology and science. Islamic education in Indonesia faces significant challenges in responding to rapid social changes and global competition, which demand innovation in educational approaches. The reform aims to integrate traditional Islamic values with 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy. Efforts include revising the curriculum to be more inclusive, improving teacher quality, and applying competency-based teaching methods, enabling students to gain not only theological understanding but also practical skills applicable in various social and professional contexts. Additionally, integrating Islamic values into general education is strengthened to foster students with noble character, responsibility, and adaptability to global developments. The success of these reforms depends on the synergy between the government, educational institutions, the community, and other stakeholders to establish an Islamic education system that is both relevant and capable of addressing the challenges of the digital era and current moral crises. Moreover, these reforms are expected to contribute to fostering a balance between religious values and practical skills, ensuring students are well-equipped to navigate contemporary challenges. Thus, Islamic education reform in Indonesia is expected to produce highly competitive graduates who can positively contribute to national development and a more harmonious global civilization.

Abstract

Islam has recently received a negative label as a religion of violence, anarchy, terror, deviating from peace and safety, and its teachings are considered contrary to conscience and common sense. Tariqa Syadziliyah becomes something interesting, because it is not only related to religious rituals, but also has influences in the socio-cultural and economic fields. The focus of this research is 1) How does Pondok PETA apply moderation in teaching thariqa Syadziliyah? 2) How does Pondok Peta apply moderation in socio-cultural life? 3) How does Pondok PETA apply moderation in the economic field? While the purpose of answering the research’s focus is to 1) Analyze and describe the religious practices of the Syadziliyah Congregation at Pondok PETA developing into a culture of the Tulungagung community. 2) Analyzing and describing social life, economic empowerment of the Syadzililiyah congregation. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach in collecting data. Using social construction theory from Peter Berger and Thomas Luckman, moderation theory, and AGIL from Talcott Parsons as his analytical tools. This study found that Pondok PETA was able to adapt to the conditions of the times by modifying the practices of the tarekat without sacrificing the nature of their teachings. Socio-cultural moderation in Pondok PETA is attempted by making the congregation human beings who are humble, not concerned with the worldly, while at the same time teaching respect for different people. The practices that are practiced are made to maintain the behavior of the congregation in accordance with the teachings of the lodge, even though they are far from the Murshid. Economic moderation is achieved through the modern KSPPS BMT PETA which functions as a data collection and development program, while for the congregation to improve welfare, istiqomah, reverence for teachers and increase spiritual piety.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of gadget use on the development of class V students' discipline at MIS Pesantren Dairi with the aim of 1) knowing the intensity of gadget use for class V students at MIS Pesantren Dairi; 2) determine the level of discipline of class V students at MIS Pesantren Dairi; 3) determine the effect of gadget use on the development of discipline in class V students at MIS Pesantren Dairi. This research uses a quantitative type of research, the approach used in this research is an ex post facto approach. Research with an ex post facto approach is used to see the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The data collection technique in this research is in the form of a questionnaire distributed to students. The subjects of this research were 30 class V students at MIS Pesantren Dairi. The results of this research show that the use of gadgets influences the development of students' disciplined character in learning. The relationship between the two variables X and Y is obtained using the Pearson product moment formula with a result of 0.4711. Based on the classification table of Pearson's r correlation coefficient values, the relationship between the two variables is quite strong/quite large. From the research results, it can be concluded that the higher the use of gadgets by students, the higher the influence on the development of students' disciplinary character (negative impact). Conversely, the lower the use of gadgets by students, the lower the influence on the development of students' disciplinary character.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the understanding of class VI students at MIS Alquba Medan about the concepts of temperature, heat, and sound waves. The method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive design, where data is collected through questionnaires and direct observations. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student understanding after the explanation of the material was done with interactive learning media. In addition, several common misconceptions among students were also identified. The applied learning method is proven to be effective in increasing students' understanding of physics concepts. Hopefully, this finding can provide valuable insight for educators in an effort to improve the quality of science learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether enterpreneurial literacy influences enterpreneurial interest among the Department of Economics Education students at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, with a total sample of 148 respondents. The instrument of the study was a questionnaire, with the data analysis applied was simple linear regression.The correlation coefficient test result showwed a person correlation coefficient of 0.782, indicating a moderately strong relationship between Enterpreneural Literacy (X) and Enterpreneurial Interest (Y). the coefficient of determination test yielded an R-Square value of 0.611, indicating that Enterpreneurial Literacy addresses 61.1% of the variability in students Enterpreneurial Interest.in contrast, the remaining 38,9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Active Debate Learning Model on students’ learning motivasion in the Economics subject for Grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Bonepantai, Bonepantai Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency. The research employed a quantitative method, whit a total of 94 student respondentfrom tree classes: X-1,X-2, and X-3.The primary instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. The collected data were analysed using simple linear regression and a normality test, which yielded a significance value of 0.059. Since this value is greater than the 5% alpha level (0.05), it can be concluded that the residual are normally distributed. Additionally, the correlation coefficient test resulted in a value of 0.938, indicating a very strong relationship between the active debate learning model (X) and students’  learning motivation (Y) in grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Bonepantai, Bonepantau Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency.

Abstract

Reading interest is a very important skill in the world of education, especially at the elementary school level. Optimal reading skills not only help students understand academic material but also develop critical and analytical thinking skills. However, the reality in the field shows that many elementary school students have low reading interest. Various internal and external factors influence the low reading interest. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method which is used to prepare this study by utilizing ideas in the Literature review by reviewing up to 10 journal articles published between 2022-2025. This approach is used to identify and analyze various strategies that have been implemented in increasing elementary school students' reading interest. With the implementation of the right strategy and support from various parties, it is hoped that students can develop reading habits from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate teachers' competence in managing classroom management to create a more optimal learning process in Grade V at SDN 060858 Durung. The study employs a qualitative approach with data collection methods including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that effective classroom management plays a crucial role in improving the quality of learning. This is reflected in a well-organized classroom environment and active student participation in the learning process. However, several challenges in classroom management remain, such as the implementation of conventional teaching methods that are less engaging and a teaching style that tends to be authoritarian, which negatively impacts students' motivation and discipline. To address these issues, innovations in learning strategies are necessary, such as implementing an inquiry-based learning model that can enhance critical thinking skills, increase students' interest in learning, and deepen their understanding of the material. Additionally, teachers are encouraged to strengthen character education to instill discipline and a sense of responsibility among students within the school environment.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of the Indonesian language and the challenges in maintaining language standards among Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) students as Generation Z. Using a library study method, this study analyzes literature related to language standards, the development of the Indonesian language, and factors that influence its use among students. The discussion covers four main aspects. First, the understanding of language standards among PPKn students, including the definition and its application in an academic context. Second, the dynamics of the Indonesian language, which highlights the development of the language due to the influence of technology and social media. Third, the challenges in maintaining language standards, which are divided into two subtopics: the influence of social media that encourages the use of non-standard language, and the perception of standards that are often considered irrelevant by students. Finally, this study explores strategies to maintain language standards, such as effective language education and initiatives from educational institutions to increase student awareness. The results of the study are expected to be collaborative efforts between the government, educational institutions, and the community needed to increase awareness of the importance of using good and correct Indonesian and provide in-depth insight into the importance of maintaining language standards among PPKn students as generation Z, thus the identity and cultural heritage of the nation can be maintained amidst the flow of globalization and technological developments.
