Abstract

In the current era, there are many teachers who have been allowed to teach in a school even though the teacher does not yet have one of the criteria as a  professional  teacher,  namely  having  a  diploma.  Therefore  researchers want to examine the professionalism of a teacher which is seen universally from existing schools. In this study, the method used is the method of meta- analysis. Meta-analysis research is a research method that involves collecting, processing, and presenting data in a systematic and objective manner. The purpose of this meta-analysis research is to examine the extent to which teacher competence refers to qualification and competency standards that have  been  established  based  on  Permendiknas No. 16  of 2007.

Abstract

Islam is a peaceful, merciful, tolerant, and most kind religion. It is a divine religion. To advance and defend justice and peace, it confronts every cruelty, violence, and viciousness. The goal of the entire Islamic ethical system is to uphold society's overall state of peace, safety, and happiness. This code emphasizes unity and all righteous actions that promote peace and forbids any action that promote violence. Therefore, if the society's members follow Islamic ethics, they will surely experience peace, safety, and satisfaction. All Islamic moral principles result in a better individual who is an upright human being who possesses the admirable qualities of honesty, justice, courage, generosity, patience, and kindness. For Muslims and non-Muslims alike, justice and peace are necessary and important in all circumstances, whether one is joyful and satisfied or disturbed and dissatisfied. This paper focuses on how the holy Qur’an and the traditions of Prophet of Islam (PBUH) teach its followers to obey and uphold the divine laws so that everyone in the society feels safe and comfortable and also educate them to be kind and to like for others as wishes for themselves so that everyone in the society benefits. This paper concludes with the argument that Islam seeks to construct the ideal human society and brotherhood, spreading all-around goodness and divine direction among people for their benefit and betterment.

Abstract

Khul’i (right of redemption) is a right accorded to a wife to get a divorce from her husband from the bond of marriage either by initiating a divorce proceeding in a court or by a mutual consent of both parties and their representatives. Khul' is a form of divorce in which the wife releases herself (from the marriage tie) by paying consideration to the husband. If the husband does not consent to the divorce, a woman often goes to a mediating third party, such as an imam. Only a person versed in Islamic law i.e. a qadi, or Islamic Sharia court judge, can grant the khulʿ without the husband's consent. When petition for khulʿ is taken to the Sharia courts, a judge is permitted to substitute the husband and annul the marriage. This process of judicial annulment is also commonly referred to as faskh, which typically occurs when the husband refuses to consent to the wife's decision to divorce. This paper is aimed at providing a clear ad true picture of “Khul’” based on the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) instead of murdering the husband. Analytical research methodology has been used in preparing this paper. Data are drawn from books, articles, scholarly journals etc.

Abstract

Regarding religion and culture on the island of Lombok, there are several traditions or cultures that are mixed with religion, one of which is the merariq tradition. However, in this Merariq tradition we will find two discussions, namely religion and culture which have different dimensions but are united or practiced simultaneously in one scope, namely in the traditional marriage tradition of the Sasak tribe. The problems raised in this study are divided into two aspects, how are the relations of Islamic culture in the Merariq tradition and how the efforts of the village community stack up in preserving the Merariq tradition. To find out more about this research, the researchers used an anthropological approach with a descriptive qualitative type with data collection techniques used in the form of observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the relationship between Islam and culture in the Merariq tradition is acculturative and contains Islamic elements, namely: Islamic elements in this tradition are from the two parties, religious weddings, the bride and groom, marriage guardians, witnesses, the marriage contract religion and custom, and dowry. The customary elements in this tradition are theft, banishment of a woman who is of a high caste if she marries a caste below her, ascending, the traditional version of the tradition itself. The forms of conservation of the merariq tradition from this research are: the merariq tradition symbolizes virility, raises the self-esteem of parents if the marriage is carried out by means of merariq rather than having to ask normally, eliminates caste (degrees). Abstract

Islam is one of the religions which acknowledges and secure all of the fundamental rights of women including education. According to Islam, education is important and compulsory for both male and female. The aim of this study is to identify the challenges that face married Muslim women at their higher education. The research is descriptive in nature following qualitative approach to collect data with the semi-structured interview. However, support for the education of married women depends upon family attitude, educational status, financial stability and husband viewpoint. Furthermore, commitments of multiple roles and lower level of self-confidence of women are most significant challenges of their education. Especially in Sri Lanka, the traditional families think that higher education of women will affect the morals, confine freedom and make problem in their matrimonial life. It is suggested that researches and seminars are essential to be structured to change the perception of the Muslim society about women’s education in Sri Lanka. The result will be a fact finding to suggest to the policy makers in Sri Lanka on how to tackle the challenges facing married women in their higher education.
