Abstract

This research aims to identify the various forms of learning difficulties experienced by learners and present solutions inspired by Qur'anic teachings to overcome these problems. This research used a literature study which involved collecting data through searching and reviewing relevant literature. Literature sources were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data analysis process involved summarizing the data, presenting relevant data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study suggest: 1) Learning difficulties in the Islamic view are influenced by internal (physical and spiritual aspects) and external (environmental situations and conditions) factors. Learning difficulties are classified based on criteria such as the type of difficulty, the field of study affected, the nature of the difficulty, and the factors causing it. 2) To overcome learning difficulties, the solutions exemplified in the Qur'an include increasing the motivation of learners, selecting appropriate learning methods, services that focus on the differences of learners, providing examples of stories and teachings that show the importance of the process of seeking knowledge. In addition, educators are expected to recognize the characteristics and learning styles of learners, provide services that are appropriate to differences, and be good role models. Thus, learning difficulties in the Islamic context are not only an individual problem, but also include external factors and require a holistic approach.

Abstract

One of the major things that university students have to go through is the learning activity. Achieving one's goals is believed to have a strong correlation with motivation. English proficiency is influenced by pupils' intrinsic willingness to study the language. The purpose of this research was to determine if there is a correlation between the level of interest that second graders at SMA Negeri 2 Sidrap have in studying English and their actual academic performance. The results demonstrated a strong relationship between students' motivation to study English and their actual progress in doing so. The results of the students' English proficiency exam and their motivational surveys corroborated this. Initially, the computed r-value, which was determined using the SPSS 21 Program, was greater than the table value at the 5% and 1% significant levels, or 0.367 < 0.852 > 0.47. Furthermore, when looking at the correlation between student motivation and English language proficiency, it was found that, for the sample class, 72.59% of the variance in student achievement was attributable to student motivation (variable X), while 25.41% was impacted by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mechanisms of student admission, the development of active students, and the services provided to students at Dayah MATAQU Ustman Bin Affan. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on students (ṭalabah) as the primary subjects. The main data sources include the head of the madrasa, teachers, and the head of student care. Data collection techniques encompass in-depth interviews, observation, and document studies. Data analysis is conducted through three stages: data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of the study reveal that Dayah MATAQU employs various strategies for student admissions, including promotion to nearby schools, the use of social media, online registration, and the establishment of registration points in key student areas. The admission process involves academic tests, interviews, and evaluations of report card grades and School Final Exams. Accepted students must meet criteria that include academic performance, behavior, and health. Student development includes routine worship activities, extracurricular activities, and disciplinary actions according to violations. Services provided to students cover administration, learning processes, rule enforcement, communication with families, and guidance by ustadz and ustadzah. These comprehensive services have led to student achievements at national and local levels and increased self-confidence through the Tasmī’ Akbar activities. The study recommends that Dayah MATAQU continue to enhance training programs for ustaz and ustazah to improve the quality of services and student development. It is also essential to expand extracurricular programs that support the development of students' character and achievements.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of religious education in shaping the character of students at the Musthafa Aljannah Kindergarten, and to provide recommendations for improving learning approaches tailored to the needs of the students. The research method employed is qualitative with a descriptive approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and document analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that religious education plays a significant role in shaping the values and character of students, with learning approaches suitable for children, such as role-playing, interactive storytelling, and artistic activities. The research recommendations include the need for active family involvement in religious education, the integration of religious values into the curriculum, and the development of creative learning methods appropriate for the students' developmental levels. It is hoped that the results of this research will contribute significantly to the understanding and implementation of religious education at the Musthafa Aljannah Kindergarten, serving as a basis for the development of more effective learning programs for shaping children's characters positively.

Abstract

This research aims to understand students' preferences regarding the use of PowerPoint in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and to identify potential challenges. The 3D development paradigm is employed, with the "Define" stage for issue identification, "Design" for crafting the questionnaire guidelines, and "Develop" for implementing solutions. Data were collected through an online questionnaire involving 10th-grade PAI students at SMKN 1 Cempaga Hulu. Research findings indicate that the majority of students (51.7%) enjoy PAI learning, with 44.8% expressing strong enthusiasm. Nevertheless, 44.8% find PAI learning challenging, particularly in topics related to banking and insurance. A significant portion of students (58.2%) still relies on textbooks as their primary learning medium, but 55.2% agree or strongly agree with the use of PowerPoint in PAI instruction. The discussion highlights that despite students' interest in PAI, difficulties persist in comprehending certain topics. Integrating PowerPoint as an alternative instructional medium can enhance the quality of learning and capture students' interest. However, prudent management is required to optimize student learning outcomes. Recommendations involve developing teaching strategies that effectively incorporate technology to enhance students' understanding of PAI content.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the roles and benefits of extracurricular activities in Dayah Madinatuddiniyyah Jabal Nur, Dewantara, North Aceh, in developing the skills of students. The research methodology involved observations, interviews, and document studies. Subsequently, the acquired data was analyzed through the following stages: data condensation, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The research findings indicate that Dayah Madinatuddiniyyah Jabal Nur offers various types of extracurricular activities designed to enhance various aspects of student development, including physical, spiritual, leadership, and skills development. Each extracurricular program is overseen by teachers or religious instructors who assist students in nurturing their talents and creativity. The benefits of extracurricular activities encompass improved emotional behavior, academic achievement, social interactions, character development, and career readiness. Furthermore, extracurricular activities play a crucial role in honing students' skills, which can contribute to their career development. The implications of this research suggest that well-organized and sustainable extracurricular activities at Dayah Madinatuddiniyyah Jabal Nur have substantial potential for enhancing student development. The significance of proper planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation in extracurricular activities not only impacts student development but also academic achievements and career preparation.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify efforts to improve the competence of educators (teungku/guree) at Dayah Darul Huda Lueng Angen, North Aceh Regency. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, which were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and verification/conclusion stages. The results showed that Dayah Darul Huda Lueng Angen plays a strategic role in traditional Islamic education in Aceh but still faces challenges in human resource development, especially in recruitment, competence, and the welfare of its educators. Dayah Darul Huda Lueng Angen has made several efforts to improve the competence of educators, including a program for teaching the "kitab kuning" to ninth-grade students who then become teachers, joint studies between Abu and Ummi to enhance competence, and regular religious guidance. The recommended actions include enhancing the quality of teaching the "kitab kuning," developing training programs and self-development for educators, and providing awards to motivate educators to enhance the quality of education at Dayah Darul Huda Lueng Angen.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kota Lhokseumawe to explore the use of varied methods with a scientific approach in teaching Fiqh, as well as the constraints and efforts made by teachers in implementing them. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The research respondents consisted of Fiqh teachers and the Head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kota Lhokseumawe. The results of the study found that teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kota Lhokseumawe used varied methods in teaching Fiqh, such as lectures, question and answer sessions, discussions, and demonstrations. They also applied a scientific approach with steps including observation, questioning, exploration, association, and communication. However, there were constraints such as a lack of reading materials and teaching media, a lack of understanding of the scientific approach, and a lack of support in facilities and infrastructure. To improve the effectiveness of teaching, it is recommended that teachers be more creative in creating teaching media, searching for teaching materials, and opening up discussion spaces with students. School principals also need to provide support and participate in training to enhance teachers' understanding of curriculum implementation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presentation of media in print which is still considered less interesting, because it tends to be boring in learning. For this reason, new breakthroughs are needed in presenting material with interesting summaries. This research and development uses research and development (R&D) research methods using the ADDIE model. As a result of this research and development, the researcher concluded that interactive learning media based on Adobe Animation can improve science learning outcomes for class V at MI Modern Mutiara Iman Ngunut Tulungagung. The research results showed that interactive media was declared feasible by experts with an average score of 92%. The use of interactive media received a positive response from teachers, getting 84% and a positive response from students getting 91%. The media was effectively used by students with the results of an increase in the average pre-test and post-test scores of 88%. Thus, interactive media based on Adobe Animation is declared feasible, practical and effective for use as interactive learning media in class V science studies learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in deepening the study of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) in junior high schools, with a focus on the methods they employ and their impact on students, as well as the implications for religious understanding and character development. The research utilizes a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data is analyzed through data condensation, data presentation, and verification/conclusion stages. The research findings reveal the following: The role of PAI teachers includes acting as discussion facilitators, guiding students in case studies, and organizing simulations of religious worship and transactions. PAI teachers' efforts in teaching involve encouraging students to ask questions and engage in discussions on complex Fiqh matters, conducting practical activities such as group discussions, case studies, and religious worship simulations. The impact of PAI teachers' role in deepening Fiqh studies helps students attain a deeper understanding of Islam, enhances moral awareness, improves decision-making abilities, and fosters critical thinking skills. Implications of the role of PAI teachers in Fiqh education include the enhancement of religious understanding within society, the development of improved skills in interpreting Islamic law, the potential for ethical and responsible leadership, and the promotion of intercultural dialogue and religious tolerance. The implications of this study underscore the significance of effective PAI teachers in shaping a more knowledgeable, ethical, and value-committed younger generation.
