Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in chemistry subjects are caused by teachers still not implementing the existing learning model, the teaching materials used are still sourced from schools and there are no interactive teaching modules that are considered quite practical in learning activities. The questions used during the evaluation are still dominant in the LOTS type in the 21st century learning era which emphasizes learning with a Higher Level Thinking style (HOTS). To address this problem, this study aims to develop a valid HOTS-integrated socio-scientific issue (SSI) based e-module on chemical equilibrium material. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model from Thiagaranjan which is limited to the 3D stage, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The subjects in this study are 3 lecturers and 2 teachers as validators of material and media experts. The object of this research is an SSI-HOTS-based e-module on chemical equilibrium material. The instruments used, namely non-test instruments, include student needs analysis questionnaires, interview sheets and material and media expert validation questionnaires. The results of the validation of SSI-HOTS-based e-modules on chemical equilibrium materials were declared very valid, with the average percentage of the score of the assessment results of the material expert validator of 91.67% and the average percentage of the score of the assessment results of the media expert validator of 90%. Thus, this e-module has the potential to be an innovative teaching material alternative that is practical and supports the improvement of students' understanding of the concept of chemical equilibrium and higher-level thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based application that integrates You Only Look Once version 10 (YOLOv10) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to analyze and visualize nutritional value information tables on packaged products. The system extracts text using OCR and presents a visualization of nutritional content in easy-to-understand terms, including comparisons to recommended daily intake as well as foods with equivalent nutritional content. The YOLOv10-M model for nutrient table detection achieved high accuracy with a mean Average Precision value at the 50% threshold (mAP50) of 0.995, while the YOLOv10-S model for nutrient value detection showed moderate performance with a mAP50 of 0.731. EasyOCR is used in the text extraction process with the best results in bright background conditions (90.09%) and lowest in uneven surfaces (26.48%). The results of the system test showed a level of functionality of 100%, with an average System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 73.3 and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 31.82%, both of which are included in the "good" category. These findings show that the developed system can help consumers understand product nutrition information more easily, as well as potentially increase public awareness of healthy consumption patterns.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of morphological errors in the form of affixation, reduplication, and composition in online news articles published in the Republika newspaper from January to April 2025. This is a qualitative study using descriptive analysis techniques and a hermeneutic approach. The data collection technique used was documentation with the read, note, and conclude method. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of identification, classification, analysis, interpretation, and drawing conclusions based on morphological theory and error indicators from Setyawati (2019). The results show that morphological errors include the omission or inappropriate use of affixes, reduplication errors in the form of omitted hyphens, and inaccuracies in writing compound words. These findings indicate that morphological errors in Republika online news articles are relatively minimal, likely due to the editing process and the characteristics of journalistic language. However, the inaccuracies that are still found have the potential to affect the clarity of meaning and sentence structure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether the literacy HOTS of students taught with the E-LKPD-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is higher than the literacy HOTS of students taught using the conventional model. The population of this study is class XI of SMA Negeri 2 Medan which consists of 12 classes. The research sample was 36 students in grades XI Sativa and XI Pluto. The test instrument was 24 valid items with an r11 value of 0.873. The hypothesis test used the right-hand t-test with the results of the study obtained a tcal value of > ttable (7.481 > 1.994). This means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that the HOTS of student literacy using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by E-LKPD media is higher than the HOTS of student literacy by using the conventional model on chemical equilibrium material, with an N-Gain value in the experimental class of 0.80 (80%), and an N-Gain value in the control class of 0.65 (64.94%). Furthermore, the most developed aspect of literacy HOTS is C5 level reasoning with a percentage of 87%. These findings prove that E-LKPD-assisted PBL is effective in improving HOTS-based chemical literacy in chemical equilibrium materials.
