Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of using an Android application based on Augmented Reality (AR) in practical activities on students' science process skills. The research used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 35 students at MAK Madani Manado. The research results show a significant increase in students' science process skills, which can be seen from the average pretest score of 52.48 and posttest of 86.69. This increase reflects the effectiveness of using AR-based applications in helping students improve their skills in observing, classifying, formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, processing data, and drawing conclusions. AR applications provide a more interactive learning experience by allowing students to visualize abstract concepts in a real way so that chemistry learning becomes more interesting and meaningful. These findings provide a positive contribution to the development of more innovative and contextual chemistry learning strategies, as well as offering solutions to overcome limited laboratory facilities in schools. The use of AR applications in chemistry learning also supports the creation of learning experiences that are relevant to learning needs in the digital era, thereby increasing student motivation and involvement in learning.

Abstract

Scientific writing requires precision and clarity to uphold credibility and effective communication. Errors such as spelling mistakes and typos can compromise the quality and reliability of scientific texts. This study proposes a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)-based approach to detect and correct spelling errors, enhancing text accuracy and readability. The dataset comprises 45,698 standard words, supplemented with typo variations to improve model performance. Data is sourced from the Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) and undergoes normalization and preprocessing to capture diverse error patterns. The model’s performance is evaluated using a confusion matrix, achieving 93% accuracy and high precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. These results demonstrate that the proposed NLP-based LSTM model offers an effective and reliable solution for identifying and correcting spelling errors. This approach significantly enhances the quality of scientific writing, ensuring more transparent and credible communication.

Abstract

This study aims to develop e-LKPD (Electronic Student Worksheets) products integrated with the TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge) approach for Grade X/E Phase as part of the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka. The research employs the 4D development model, which includes the phases of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The define phase identifies instructional needs, while the design phase produces an e-LKPD design focused on differentiated learning. During the develop phase, the product is validated by experts using assessment sheets for content, media, and language aspects. The disseminate phase involves sharing links to enhance the visibility of the research product. Expert validation results indicate excellent feasibility ratings: 91% for media, 96% for content, and 95% for language. These findings confirm that the developed e-LKPD is effective and ready for classroom implementation. The product not only enhances student learning outcomes but also fosters inclusive participation and critical thinking. This study makes a significant contribution to the advancement of educational technology and instructional design, providing a valuable resource for educators in implementing innovative teaching strategies.

Abstract

This study investigates the reaction of poverty to consumption and inflation in Indonesia, utilizing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method to explore the dynamic relationships between these key economic variables. The analysis is based on time-series data spanning from 2012 to 2023, comprising a total of 340 samples from 34 provinces across Indonesia. The findings reveal that both consumption and inflation exert a significant influence on poverty levels, with effects observable in both the short and long term. Specifically, consumption and inflation demonstrate a statistically significant relationship at a 5 percent significance level in the short term. However, in the long term, inflation’s effect is identified at a slightly higher significance level of 10 percent, indicating its persistent but somewhat weaker influence compared to consumption. These results highlight critical insights into the economic mechanisms that drive poverty in Indonesia, underlining the pivotal roles of consumption patterns and inflationary pressures. The research emphasizes the importance of targeted economic policies to manage these variables effectively to reduce poverty. For instance, promoting sustainable consumption and mitigating inflation’s adverse impacts can foster greater economic stability and resilience among vulnerable populations. By addressing these factors, policymakers can implement more effective strategies to achieve equitable economic growth and social welfare.

Abstract

Black pepper (Piper nigrum L) is a spice that is widely used in cooking by people in Indonesia, earning the nickname "King of Spice". The chemical content in Black Pepper (Piper nigrum L) is piperine. Piperine can activate Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid Type 1 (TRPV1), causing heartburn, heat and increased stomach acid. Therefore, researchers combined black pepper (Piper ningrum L.) with yogurt, because it is known that yogurt can suppress stomach acid and the growth of bad bacteria in the intestines. The aim of this research was to determine the potential toxicity of the combination of black pepper extract (Piper ningrum L.) and yogurt on the digestive organs and the duration of death of mice (Mus musculus). In research that has been carried out using RAL with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The samples used were female mice (Mus musculus). Next, descriptive analysis was carried out. The results of the research that has been carried out show that the concentration of 25 mg/kg bw in the combination of Black Pepper (Piper ningrum L.) extract and yogurt on the anatomy of the stomach and intestines is closer to the positive control (P1) and the combination of Black Pepper (Piper ningrum L.) extract and yogurt with a concentration of 75 mg/kg bw on stomach and intestinal anatomy was closer to the negative control (P0).
