Abstract

This research stems from the urgency of understanding the complexity of curriculum development in Indonesia, particularly the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMK PGRI 2 Kediri. The primary objective of this study is to examine the practice of the Independent Curriculum by PAI teachers, analyze the methods and strategies employed, identify the challenges faced, and assess its suitability in relation to the Understanding by Design (UbD) principle for designing learning that fosters in-depth understanding and competency achievement. This study employed qualitative methods to gather contextual data on PAI learning practices. The results show that PAI teachers have optimized the Independent Curriculum through planning based on learning outcomes and objectives, developing learning modules according to student characteristics, and implementing authentic assessments that foster Islamic character. These findings demonstrate the alignment between the Independent Curriculum and UbD, where teachers act as designer-facilitators who connect Islamic values ​​with industrial work culture, while also emphasizing that the curriculum is not merely a document, but an instructional culture to shape the Pancasila Student Profile with Islamic character.

Abstract

In this modern era, teenagers really need emotional intelligence training, because they are very vulnerable to unsafe conditions, both at school and outside of school. Teenagers are often easily offended, easily angered, and have difficulty controlling their emotions. One very important aspect in facing these challenges is the ability of self-control. Learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is one way to help them understand religious values ​​that can be a guide in controlling themselves, responding to various external stimuli, and regulating emotions in stressful conditions in the long term. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of PAI learning on the formation of self-control of Gen Alpha students at SMPN 4 Kediri. This study uses quantitative methods. Data collection uses observation and questionnaires. Data analysis uses a simple linear regression test with IBM SPSS statistics version 29. The results of this study indicate that the condition of SMPN 4 Kediri City is classified as good, has a positive and significant impact on student self-control with an R value of 0.670 and an R Square of 0.449. This means that 44.9% of students' self-control abilities can be explained by an understanding of PAI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of purchasing behavior for umrah travel packages among the community of Tanjung Raya District, Mesuji Regency, focusing on the influence of service quality and price within the framework of Islamic marketing. The Islamic marketing approach is adopted to ensure that promotional activities and service offerings comply with Sharia principles grounded in the Qur’an. This study employs a quantitative method with an explanatory design to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables through instrument testing, statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS. The sample consists of 100 respondents who have previously purchased umrah packages, selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that service quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for umrah packages. Price also demonstrates a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, both variables contribute significantly to shaping consumers’ purchasing behavior. These results highlight that prospective pilgrims’ decisions are largely determined by the reliability of the services offered and the affordability of prices relative to their economic capacity. The study provides practical implications for umrah travel providers to consistently implement Islamic marketing principles to ensure trustworthiness and enhance public confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Fiqh learning on the topic of najis (impurity) through the Kitab Diyanah at SD Unggulan Cahaya Cendekia and to analyze the supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and the impact of its application on students’ understanding and behavior. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, Fiqh teacher, and students, as well as documentation of learning activities. The data were analyzed descriptively using qualitative methods with source triangulation to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that Fiqh learning through the Kitab Diyanah is carried out using methods such as reading nadzom (rhythmic verses), translation, explanation of meaning, and practical activities. The teacher acts as a facilitator who guides students to understand the concept of najis contextually and applicatively. Supporting factors include teacher competence, a religious school environment, and a curriculum that emphasizes moral values. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of limited learning time and students’ difficulty in understanding Arabic terms in the book. The implementation of the Kitab Diyanah has proven effective in improving students’ understanding of Islamic jurisprudence regarding najis and encouraging cleanliness and purity in daily life. This learning model also strengthens students’ Islamic character through the habituation of clean behavior and respect for religious values. Theoretically, the findings of this study align with the behaviorist theory (Skinner), constructivist theory (Vygotsky), and Islamic education theory, which emphasize the integration of knowledge, practice, and morality.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of the suboptimal function of mediation in divorce cases in Religious Courts, which in practice often remains a procedural formality. Using the case study of Andre Taulany's divorce as a representation of complex domestic conflict involving public figures and social pressures, this study uses normative legal methods with a statutory and case-based approach to analyze the implementation of mediation based on Supreme Court Regulation Number 1 of 2016, Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, Law Number 7 of 1989 concerning Religious Courts, and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), and is linked to the concept of ishlah in Islamic law and modern conflict resolution theory. The results show that although procedurally, mediation has been implemented in accordance with legal regulations, substantively, it has not been able to optimally fulfill its reconciliatory and transformative functions due to the influence of psychological factors, social pressure as a public figure, and institutional limitations of mediators. Therefore, a more integrative, humanistic, and relationship-restoring model is needed, rather than merely fulfilling procedural obligations.

Abstract

Culture plays an important role in shaping thinking patterns, values, and educational practices across countries. This article aims to analyze the influence of culture on Indonesia's education system and compare it with several other countries, such as Japan, Finland, and Singapore. Through a literature-based approach, the study identifies that cultural differences result in variations in teaching methods, teacher-student relationships, disciplinary approaches, and educational objectives. In Indonesia, a collectivist culture and respect for authority tend to emphasize structured, teacher centered learning. In contrast, Finland highlights an egalitarian culture that supports independence and student-centered learning. Japan exhibits a culture of hard work and high discipline, while Singapore emphasizes strong competitiveness in line with its work-oriented culture. The findings indicate that culture significantly contributes to the characteristics of a country's education system. Understanding these cultural influences is essential for designing relevant and contextual educational innovations in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Barisan Ansor Serbaguna (Banser) in shaping the image of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) as a religious organization, using a case study in Gajah District, Demak Regency. The focus of the study is directed toward the identification of the forms of Banser’s roles and how these roles are manifested in social and religious practices. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with two administrators of Banser Satkoryon PAC Gajah, the head of PAC GP Ansor Gajah, and four residents of Gajah District, as well as through participatory observation and documentation. Data analysis follows the Miles & Huberman model, which involves three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Banser has successfully fulfilled its expected role as a protector of NU's religious activities and its actual role through active participation in social initiatives such as traffic regulation, community kitchens, and interfaith event security. The local community generally responds positively to Banser’s presence, viewing it as a courteous, disciplined, and socially concerned representative of NU. However, there is an emerging expectation for Banser to become more engaged in non-religious social activities, which may lead to potential role conflict if not supported by adequate resource development.

Abstract

The Pra Amaliyah Tadris activity is a strategic initiative for preparing prospective lecturers in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), emphasizing content mastery and a culture of reflection. This study aims to analyze the instructional content delivered and to evaluate participants' responses and feedback from supervising lecturers. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research focused on the implementation of Pra Amaliyah Tadris by postgraduate students of PAI at UNZAH. The findings indicate that the topic “Forgetting and Transfer in Learning,” presented through a participatory approach, effectively enhanced student engagement and metacognitive awareness. Meanwhile, lecturers provided feedback regarding the need for improved time management and material visualization. The study recommends strengthening academic supervision and developing evaluation standards based on participant responses to improve the program's effectiveness

Abstract

This study critically examines the integrative role of the yellow book literacy program, tradition-based evaluation systems, and pesantren spirituality practices in shaping the scholarly character of female santri. The aim of this research is to understand how these three elements interact and contribute to the distinctive educational process within Islamic boarding schools for girls. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach and participatory observation techniques, this research gathers in-depth data from the daily practices of students and administrators. The findings indicate that the literacy system based on nadhom and the muḥāfaẓah-based evaluation not only serve as tools for knowledge transmission but also function as mechanisms for internalizing pesantren values and spirituality. This study highlights the importance of a holistic approach in Islamic education, in which literacy methods, traditions, and evaluation systems are interrelated in forming knowledgeable and virtuous santri.

Abstract

This study examines the criminal act of social media hacking by a minor, as addressed in Decision Number 53/Pid.Sus-Anak/2019/PN Mks. The research focuses on how Indonesian positive law and Islamic criminal law respond to hacking committed by a child, and how judges determine appropriate sanctions. Using a normative juridical method, the study analyzes court rulings, the ITE Law, the Juvenile Justice System Law, and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh jinayah). The findings show that the offender received non-custodial sanctions, namely guidance and vocational training, in line with restorative justice aimed at rehabilitation. In Islamic law, such an act falls under taʿzīr a discretionary crime whose punishment is determined by the judge based on public interest. The study recommends further integration of Islamic principles into Indonesia’s juvenile justice system, particularly in addressing cybercrimes involving minors, in order to protect children's rights and ensure their future reintegration into society
