Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Deep Learning approach to improving fifth-grade students' understanding of the command to believe in the holy books of Allah SWT, as stated in Chapter 2 of the book "Education of Islamic Religion and Character Education" published by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2017. The study was conducted at SDN Pandan Sari as part of an effort to strengthen the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning at the elementary school level. The Deep Learning approach was chosen because it emphasizes in-depth understanding, interconnectedness between concepts, and broadening learning experiences, enabling students to think more critically and reflectively. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The results indicate that the application of Deep Learning through reflection activities, analysis of meaning, linking material to real-life situations, and assignments requiring higher-order thinking skills strengthened students' ability to understand the meaning of Allah's holy books, understand their functions, and emulate their values. This approach also encouraged the growth of a more meaningful attitude of faith, extending beyond memorization. The study concluded that Deep Learning significantly contributed to improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (IS) at SDN Pandan Sari, particularly on the topic of faith in the holy books of Allah SWT, through a more meaningful, active learning process that is oriented toward the appreciation of values

Abstract

Educational program evaluation is a systematic process that is essential in improving learning quality and achieving educational institutional objectives. This research aims to examine the practice of educational program evaluation with focus on basic concepts, evaluation models, principles of implementation, and their application in the context of modern educational institutions. The research method employs a library research approach with in-depth analysis of various recent academic literature from 2015-2025 that discusses educational program evaluation, the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product), and strategies for improving educational quality. The research findings indicate that effective educational program evaluation must be guided by principles of comprehensiveness, continuity, objectivity, and sustainability. The CIPP model has proven to be effective as a comprehensive evaluation framework at every stage of the program. Implementation of evaluation requires systematic stages that include preparation, implementation, and follow-up, as well as support from adequate policies and resources. The implication of this research is that educational institutions need to integrate program evaluation as an integral part of the quality management system to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of programs in meeting the needs of students and society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena perilaku bullying di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gondangrejo Karanganyar serta menjelaskan bagaimana pendekatan Psikologi Islam dapat digunakan untuk menanggulangi dan mencegah perilaku tersebut. Bullying yang terjadi di sekolah ini umumnya berbentuk verbal, sosial, dan digital, seperti ejekan, pengucilan, serta gosip negatif, yang sering kali disalahartikan sebagai bentuk keakraban antar siswa. Fenomena ini menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara pengetahuan agama dan penghayatan nilai-nilai Islam dalam perilaku sosial siswa. Melalui pendekatan Psikologi Islam, perilaku bullying dipahami sebagai akibat dari ketidakseimbangan spiritual dan emosional, yaitu dominasi nafs ammarah serta lemahnya proses tazkiyah al-nafs (penyucian jiwa). Faktor eksternal seperti budaya senioritas, lemahnya pengawasan guru, dan kurangnya pembinaan ruhani turut memperparah kondisi tersebut. Upaya penanggulangan dilakukan melalui penerapan nilai-nilai Psikologi Islam, seperti rahmah (kasih sayang), ‘adl (keadilan), dan ukhuwah Islamiyah (persaudaraan), yang diintegrasikan dalam kegiatan religius sekolah, program pembinaan karakter, serta bimbingan konseling Islami. Guru berperan sebagai murabbi (pembimbing spiritual) yang menanamkan nilai moral dan empati melalui keteladanan dan pembinaan ruhani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Psikologi Islam efektif dalam menurunkan perilaku agresif dan meningkatkan empati serta kesadaran moral siswa. Dengan demikian, integrasi nilai-nilai Psikologi Islam dalam sistem pendidikan dapat menjadi solusi holistik untuk menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman, berempati, dan berkarakter Islami

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of patience in the Qur'an and its relationship to resilience from an Islamic psychology perspective. The focus of this study is an analysis of Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 155–157, which describes various forms of life's trials and patience as a spiritual response to them. Using qualitative methods through a library approach, this study examines various sources, such as the interpretations of Al-Azhar and Al-Munir, as well as Islamic psychology literature and the resilience theory by Connor and Davidson. The results of the study indicate that patience in Islam is not merely a passive attitude toward trials, but rather a form of spiritual strength that actively maintains emotional, mental, and behavioral stability. The values of patience taught in the Qur'an are strongly relevant in developing resilience, namely the ability of individuals to recover from adversity and persist in the face of life's pressures. This study confirms that the integration of faith values, such as patience, is an important foundation for strengthening mental resilience from an Islamic psychology perspective

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of forming sakinah families among alumni male santri who served at Ziyadatut Taqwa Islamic Boarding School, Tlanakan, Pamekasan, and to identify the impacts of this practice on their family life. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with serving santri, kiai, and family members, as well as supporting documentation related to family development practices within the pesantren. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through data reduction, thematic categorization, and inductive conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that comprehensive spiritual and moral guidance provided by the kiai plays a significant role in shaping sakinah families, particularly through the cultivation of patience, humility, emotional maturity, and conflict management skills. Positive impacts include strengthened family spirituality, increased personal maturity, and harmonious household relationships. However, negative impacts were also identified, such as limited family time, role strain between service and family responsibilities, and potential emotional dependence on the kiai in household decision-making. Therefore, balancing pesantren service and family responsibilities is essential to achieving sustainable sakinah families.

Abstract

Hell and Paradise are realms whose existence and conditions are firmly believed by Muslims. Hell is understood to be inhabited by those who disbelieve and commit many sins, while Paradise is for those who have faith and perform righteous deeds. It is also part of Islamic belief that some people will remain eternally in Hell, whereas others will be taken out after a certain period of time. In the hadith literature, there are narrations describing an individual who will be the last to emerge from Hell. There is also a popular report identifying this individual by the name Juhainah. However, this name remains controversial in terms of its authenticity and the reliability of the narrations that mention it. Using a qualitative research approach based on library study, this research aims to clearly examine the figure of Juhainah. The hadith analysis employs the method of takhrij al-hadith, which includes sanad (chain of transmission) and matn (textual) criticism within the major hadith collections, referring to works of takhrij, sharh, and tarajum wa al-tabaqat to determine the validity of the reports. The findings of this study indicate that the exact number of those who will emerge from Hell whether a single individual or a group cannot be definitively established, and that the narrations mentioning the name Juhainah are deemed batil and therefore cannot be used as authoritative hujjah. Accordingly, this study is expected to serve as a reference that provides a comprehensive clarification regarding the figure of Juhainah

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the principles of tauhid, amanah, and rahmatan lil-‘alamin in strategic management practices in Islamic educational institutions. This study is motivated by the need for educational institutions to integrate Islamic values into the process of formulating, implementing, and evaluating strategies, so as to produce more humane, ethical, and sustainability-oriented governance. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study method, sourced from scientific articles, SINTA journals, books, and related academic documents, totaling 15 main references. Data was collected through documentation techniques, then analyzed using content analysis through the stages of data reduction, categorization, concept synthesis, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the principle of tauhid is the ontological foundation that places all managerial activities as a form of devotion to Allah. The value of amanah serves as an ethical guideline in resource management, transparency, and organizational strategy accountability. Meanwhile, the value of rahmatan lil-‘alamin guides educational institutions to create strategies that are inclusive, bring benefits, and are oriented towards serving all stakeholders. The integration of these three principles produces a strategic management model that not only focuses on the effectiveness of the institution, but also strengthens character and spirituality. and social sustainability.

Abstract

This article discusses the Besentulak (Tolak Bala) tradition in Lombok, particularly in Batu Kuta Village, through the perspective of the Living Qur’an approach. The study aims to explore how the values of Qur’anic teachings especially the command to recite shalawat upon the Prophet Muhammad SAW are manifested in the socio-cultural practices of the local community. This research employs a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation to capture the lived religious experiences of the community. The findings reveal that the recitation of shalawat in the Besentulak tradition represents an actualization of Qur’anic values embedded in everyday life. This practice functions not only as a spiritual means of seeking protection, safety, and well-being, but also as a medium for strengthening social cohesion, preserving inherited religious traditions, and contextualizing Islamic teachings within local cultural expressions. The study demonstrates that the practice of the Living Qur’an in Batu Kuta Village is reflected in the continuity of religious traditions rooted in the Qur’an while remaining harmoniously integrated with local customs and communal identity.

Abstract

Productive zakat is a strategic instrument of Islamic economics in empowering beneficiaries (mustahik) and promoting sustainable welfare. BAZNAS of Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan, has implemented a productive zakat program through business capital assistance, training, and mentoring; however, its outcomes vary among beneficiaries. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the productive zakat program and the factors influencing its effectiveness in improving mustahik welfare. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Research informants include BAZNAS managers, mustahik, muzakki, community leaders, and local government representatives. Data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by descriptive quantitative data comparing mustahik income before and after receiving productive zakat. The findings indicate that the productive zakat program has been implemented systematically and contributes to increased income and economic self-reliance of most beneficiaries. Program effectiveness is influenced by amil managerial capacity, quality of business mentoring, utilization of information technology, local government support, and public zakat literacy

Abstract

Indonesia’s cultural diversity serves as a defining characteristic of its national identity, yet this pluralism frequently generates intercultural conflicts manifesting through ethnic, religious, and racial tensions across multiple regions. This study investigates mass media's strategic role in promoting diversity culture within Indonesia's pluralistic society. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology with literature review approach, this research analyzes how mass media functions as a critical bridge for cross-cultural communication through its extensive audience reach and cultural framing capabilities. Findings reveal that mass media possesses significant potential to foster mutual understanding and acceptance among diverse cultural groups by serving as an informational conduit that connects disparate cultures. However, commercial imperatives often compromise this function, leading to stereotype reinforcement rather than cultural appreciation. The study concludes that while mass media holds transformative power in cultivating diversity awareness, realizing this potential requires institutional commitment to journalistic independence, editorial neutrality, and prioritization of social responsibility over profit maximization. Recommendations include strengthening media literacy programs and developing alternative media platforms that genuinely serve public interest.
