Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing complexity of professional demands on teachers in the digital era, which impacts psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being. An imbalance in employee well-being has the potential to reduce teacher performance and the quality of learning. On the other hand, conventional approaches to human resource management tend not to comprehensively integrate the spiritual dimension, particularly from an Islamic perspective. This study aims to analyze the influence of employee well-being on teacher performance and to examine the role of spiritual well-being as a reinforcing factor in this relationship. The research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 120 teachers and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that employee well-being has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Furthermore, the spiritual well-being dimension is proven to strengthen the relationship between well-being and performance. These findings indicate that integrating psychological and spiritual aspects into educational human resource management is an important strategy for improving teacher performance sustainably in the digital era

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Regent Regulation of Pesawaran Regency concerning the management of marine tourism areas from the perspective of Siyāsah Tanfīdziyyah. Marine tourism has significant potential in supporting regional economic development, increasing community welfare, and preserving coastal environmental sustainability. However, the management of marine tourism requires effective government policies and active participation from stakeholders to ensure the realization of public benefit (maṣlaḥah ʻāmmah). This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted in Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the implementation of marine tourism management policies in Pesawaran Regency has been carried out through planning, organizing, and implementation stages involving the local government, local communities, and business partners. The development of marine tourism contributes to improving the local economy and optimizing regional tourism potential. From the perspective of siyāsah tanfīdziyyah, the role of the local government reflects the implementation of executive authority in managing public interests, environmental sustainability, and social welfare in accordance with the principles of justice and public benefit in Islamic governance.

Abstract

The increasing environmental crisis shows that ecological degradation is not only a technical problem but also reflects a moral and spiritual crisis in human life. The Qur’an, through the concept of fasād fī al-arḍ, warns against human actions that disturb the balance of the earth. This study aims to analyze the meaning of fasād fī al-arḍ in Hamka’s Tafsir Al-Azhar and its relevance to contemporary environmental degradation. This research applies a qualitative approach using library research. The primary sources are Qur’anic verses related to fasād, particularly QS. Ar-Rūm: 41, and Tafsir Al-Azhar, while secondary sources include books, journal articles, and relevant literature on Islamic environmental ethics. The findings reveal that Hamka interprets fasād fī al-arḍ not only as moral and social damage but also as ecological destruction caused by excessive human behavior, such as pollution, exploitation of natural resources, and deforestation. The implication of this study emphasizes the need for spiritual awareness, human responsibility as khalīfah, and environmental ethics in responding to the modern ecological crisis

Abstract

This study is motivated by the issue concerning the relevance of gender narratives in the book Uqud al-Lujain by Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani to the social developments of modern society. The book portrays husband–wife relations in a hierarchical manner and places women in a subordinate position, raising questions regarding its compatibility with the principles of equality in contemporary Islamic family law in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the forms of gender bias contained in the book and to analyze their compatibility with the Compilation of Islamic Law (Kompilasi Hukum Islam) and Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage.The research employs a qualitative method based on library research with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings reveal three main forms of gender bias: restrictions on women’s freedom, the subordination of women within the household, and the legitimization of husbands’ disciplinary actions toward their wives. In the context of contemporary Islamic family law in Indonesia, these views are considered no longer fully relevant, as family relations have evolved toward more equal relationships characterized by mutual respect and the protection of individual rights. Therefore, a contextual reinterpretation of religious texts is necessary in order to create family relationships that are more just and balanced

Abstract

Prayer times constitute a fundamental component of Islamic worship, serving as a prerequisite for the validity of prayer performance. The determination of prayer times is rooted in the Qur’an and Hadith, which provide both normative principles and practical guidance. In the context of modern society, characterized by scientific advancement and technological development, a deeper conceptual understanding of prayer times is required to ensure their continued relevance. This study aims to examine and reconstruct the concept of prayer times from the perspectives of the Qur’an and Hadith, while exploring its relevance within contemporary religious practices. Employing a qualitative approach, this research adopts a library research method. The data were collected through an in-depth examination of Qur’anic verses and Prophetic traditions related to prayer times, supported by secondary sources such as Qur’anic exegesis, hadith commentaries, and relevant academic publications. Data analysis was conducted using thematic and descriptive-analytical approaches. The findings reveal that the concept of prayer times in Islamic primary sources is governed by clear normative boundaries, while simultaneously allowing contextual flexibility. This reconstruction underscores the necessity of integrating textual fidelity with contextual understanding in order to maintain the continuity and applicability of Islamic teachings in a changing era

Abstract

The development of the live streaming feature on TikTok with its gift system has created new patterns in digital economic transactions that raise issues under Islamic economic law, such as unclear contracts, potential gharar (unclear risk), and consumptive behavior. This study aims to examine the implications of gift-giving from the perspective of Islamic economic law and assess its compliance with Islamic muamalah principles. The method used was qualitative, with a field research approach and descriptive analysis through interviews, observations, and documentation of creators and viewers. The results show that gifts are understood as voluntary giving, resembling digital grants. However, there is still a tendency for excessive consumption and unclear motives among some users. From a sharia perspective, this practice is permissible as long as it fulfills the elements of willingness, clarity of purpose, and does not violate sharia provisions. Therefore, increasing sharia economic literacy is necessary to make digital practices more transparent and in accordance with Islamic principles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the anatomy of sibling jealousy as interpreted by Ibn ‘Asyur in al-Tahrir wa al-Tanwir regarding QS. Yusuf verse 8, and to examine its relevance to sibling jealousy theories in family psychology. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical library research design. Primary data consist of Ibn ‘Asyur’s interpretation of QS. Yusuf verse 8, while secondary data are drawn from relevant books and recent scholarly articles on sibling jealousy and family psychology. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The findings reveal that Ibn ‘Asyur’s interpretation implicitly constructs the anatomy of sibling jealousy through three interconnected psychological layers: perceptual distortion of parental affection, misguided collective pride, and moral justification as a catalyst for destructive action. These findings are consistent with family psychology theories emphasizing the role of perceived differential parental treatment, social identity formation, and the escalation of conflict driven by collective rationalization. This study demonstrates that Ibn ‘Asyur’s interpretation holds significant relevance to contemporary family psychology concepts, affirming that the Qur’an contains profound psychological insights into human emotional dynamics within the family context.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dialectic of faith and action in shaping students' religious character through the Field Practice Exam (UPL) program. This research is motivated by the importance of connecting students' religious understanding with real-life practices. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to describe in depth the program's implementation process. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation of the implementation of the field practice exam program. The results showed that the field practice exam plays a significant role in connecting students' understanding of faith with real-life actions, such as patience in facing difficulties in the field, discipline and responsibility (Amanah) in carrying out tasks, maintaining worship amidst busy practice, and being honest and having good morals in interacting with others during the field practice. The dialectic of faith and action is evident when students' religious values ​​encourage religious behavior, while practical experiences in the field also strengthen students' faith and religious awareness. In addition, the UPL program provides students with direct experience in implementing religious values ​​in social life. Thus, field practice learning becomes an effective means of internalizing religious values ​​and continuously shaping students' religious character

Abstract

This research is motivated by the development of Artificial Intelligence, particularly ChatGPT, which has influenced the learning process of students at Universitas Islam Zainul Hasan Genggong, an institution grounded in Islamic boarding school values. The advancement of this technology has raised concerns regarding the decline of students’ critical thinking skills and intellectual independence. This study aims to analyze the utilization of ChatGPT, its usage patterns, and its impact on students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program. The research employed a qualitative approach using interview techniques with students and lecturers. The findings indicate that ChatGPT is widely used as an academic support tool due to its convenience, speed, and practicality in assisting with assignments. However, excessive use may lead to dependency, reduced analytical skills, and a decline in the depth of material comprehension. Differences were also found between students who rely heavily on AI and those who study independently, particularly in their ability to explain materials, analytical sharpness, and confidence in expressing critical opinions. In addition, uncontrolled use of AI may reduce students’ interest in reading books and scientific journals. Nevertheless, AI remains beneficial when used proportionally and supported by good digital literacy in order to maintain the quality of academic learning

Abstract

Internalization of Local Wisdom in SBDP Learning to Foster Cultural Literacy of Fourth Grade Students at MI Sumbersari Kowang Tuban in the 2025/2026 Academic Year is motivated by students’ limited understanding and appreciation of local culture amid globalization. This study aims to describe the forms of local wisdom values integrated into learning, the internalization process in Arts, Culture, and Craft learning, and its impact on students’ cultural literacy. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving one teacher and 36 fourth grade students of MI Sumbersari Kowang Tuban. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the values of hard work, mutual cooperation, responsibility, and environmental awareness embedded in the traditions of legen and siwalan can be contextually integrated into classroom activities. The internalization process occurred through stages of understanding, reflection, and creative practice. The implementation of local wisdom-based learning significantly improved students’ cultural understanding, appreciative attitudes, and cultural expression. Therefore, integrating local wisdom into Arts, Culture, and Craft learning effectively strengthens cultural literacy among elementary school students.
