Abstract

Anemia terjadi ketika kadar hemoglobin tubuh lebih rendah dari kadar normalnya (≥12 g/dL) dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk kebiasaan sarapan, asupan zat besi, dan siklus menstruasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kebiasaan sarapan, asupan zat besi, dan siklus menstruasi, berhubungan dengan kejadian anemia pada siswi SMA Negeri 12 Surabaya. Penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif melaui pendekatan cross-sectional dan sampel sekundernya terdiri dari 85 murid yang dipilih secara Proportional Random Sampling. Analisis data menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan uji chi-square non-parametrik. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya korelasi antara kebiasaan sarapan dan anemia (p=0,023), tetapi tidak antara asupan zat besi (p=0,321) dan siklus menstruasi (p=0,530) dengan anemia. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kebiasaan sarapan memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian anemia pada siswi SMA Negeri 12 Surabaya, sedangkan asupan zat besi dan siklus menstruasi tidak memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian anemia pada siswi SMA Negeri 12 Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to encourage the influence of the Nutricard educational game in increasing awareness of balanced nutrition in grade VIII students at UPT SMP Negeri 34 Kota Gresik. The study was conducted for one week in March 2025 with an experimental quantitative approach, using a pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of the study were 28 students selected through purposive sampling. The results showed a significant increase from the average pre-test score (75.71) to the post-test (87.32), as well as an increase in understanding of balanced nutrition from 75% to 96%. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test statistical test showed a t-count value = -60.060 and Sig. = 0.000 (p <0.05), proving that Nutricard had a significant effect on increasing students' understanding of balanced nutrition. Based on the questionnaire, most students stated that this educational game was more interesting and helpful in understanding the material than conventional learning methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Nutricard educational game is effective in increasing awareness of balanced nutrition in adolescents, so it is worthy of being used as an innovative learning media in schools.

Abstract

Anemia is still a major nutritional problem in Indonesia, especially in adolescent girls due to lack of iron intake. One of the efforts to overcome this is by increasing knowledge and compliance in consuming iron tablets (TTD). Education through game media is considered an effective method in conveying health information. Objective: To determine the effect of the design and development of the snakes and ladders educational game on increasing knowledge and compliance in consuming iron tablets in adolescent girls at SMPN 3 Gresik. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest–posttest approach. The sample consisted of 36 7th grade female students selected by purposive sampling. The intervention was in the form of educational video screenings and snakes and ladders games. Data were collected using the MMAS-8 questionnaire and analyzed using the paired sample t-test. Results: There was a significant increase between the pretest and posttest results in knowledge and compliance in consuming iron tablets (p <0.05), indicating the effectiveness of the snakes and ladders game media in increasing awareness and compliance in consuming iron tablets. Conclusion: The snakes and ladders educational game has been proven effective in increasing knowledge and compliance in consuming iron tablets in adolescent girls. This media can be used as an alternative method of interesting and interactive nutritional education for the adolescent age group.

Abstract

Anemia is a common nutritional problem in adolescent girls, which can be influenced by diet and knowledge about nutrition. Innovative educational methods, such as the flipped classroom model, have the potential to improve understanding and influence body mass index (BMI). Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of flipped classroom-based nutrition education on knowledge about anemia and BMI in adolescent girls at MTs 1 Pondok Pesantren Al-Karimi, Gresik. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group approach. The study population consisted of adolescent girls at MTs 1 Pondok Pesantren Al-Karimi, Gresik. The sample was selected using the total sampling technique, because the population was less than 100, making it possible to include all students who met the inclusion criteria. The instrument used to conduct the study was a questionnaire adopted from previous similar studies. The study was conducted at MTs 1 Pondok Pesantren Al-Karimi, Gresik, for a certain period. Instrument Analysis: Knowledge about anemia and BMI was measured using a validated questionnaire and anthropometric measurements. Data Analysis: processed data is then analyzed, so that the results of data analysis can be used as a basis for decision making in solving problems, the analysis in this study is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the help of computer applications, namely SPSS for Windows.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Iron nutritional anemia is the biggest micronutrient problem in Indonesia, which occurs in groups of toddlers, school children, pregnant women, women and adult men. In general, anemia is a condition where the hemoglobin level is lower than normal. According to WHO, in 2021, the prevalence of anemia in productive women (15-54) in the world is around 29.9%. Objective: This research aims to determine the effect of giving modified boiler chicken liver nuggets and green spinach leaves on increasing hemoglobin levels in anemic adolescent girls. This research was conducted from 22 April to 06 May 2024 at MAN Rejang Lebong Research Method: used in this research was the Quasy Experiment method with a one group pre-post test design, namely a quasi-experiment carried out on one group. The sample was selected using quota sampling with a sample size of 41 people. Results: statistical tests showed that the effect of giving modified chicken liver nuggets and green spinach leaves showed that the average Hemoglobin level before the intervention was 10.89 g/dL with a standard deviation of 1,037 and after the intervention it was 11.55 g/dL with a standard deviation of 1,470 Results The difference in the average measurement of hemoglobin levels before and after was 0.73 g/dL with a standard deviation of 1.253. The statistical test results obtained a p value = 0.000, so it can be concluded that there was an effect of giving modified chicken liver nuggets and green spinach leaves on increasing Hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention. Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang menghambat tumbuh kembang anak. Meskipun prevalensi stunting di Provinsi Bali menurun, Kota Denpasar mengalami peningkatan dari 5,5% (2022) menjadi 10,8% (2023). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor risiko stunting pada balita usia 1–23 bulan di Kota Denpasar dengan pendekatan mix-method dan desain fenomenologi. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui SQ-FFQ dan dianalisis menggunakan Nutrisurvey untuk menilai asupan zat gizi makro (energi, karbohidrat, lemak, protein) dan mikro (zat besi, zinc, vitamin A). Data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap 14 informan yang dipilih secara purposive dan snowball sampling. Validasi data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan dianalisis secara deskriptif naratif berbasis content analysis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa faktor langsung stunting meliputi rendahnya asupan energi, karbohidrat, lemak, dan zat besi, meskipun asupan protein, zinc, dan vitamin A tergolong cukup. Sebagian besar balita juga memiliki riwayat infeksi seperti ISPA dan diare. Faktor tidak langsung mencakup pola asuh yang kurang optimal serta pengaruh budaya terhadap konsumsi pangan dan keterlibatan para calon pengantin dalam pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

Anemia remains a major public health issue among adolescent girls in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding anti-nutritional substances and anemia status among female students aged 15–18 years at SMAN 1 Kelapa, West Bangka. A cross-sectional design was used with 48 randomly selected participants. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and secondary hemoglobin data from the Aksi Bergizi screening. Results showed an anemia prevalence of 41.7%, with median knowledge, attitude, and practice scores of 9, 10, and 7, respectively. Spearman correlation analysis revealed no significant relationship between KAP and anemia status (p > 0.05). These findings suggest that knowledge, attitude, and practice concerning anti-nutrients are not the main determinants of anemia. Interventions should also address other contributing factors such as iron intake, menstrual patterns, and overall nutritional status

Abstract

Latar belakang: Status gizi mencerminkan keseimbangan antara konsumsi, penyerapan, dan penggunaan zat gizi. Gizi lebih menjadi masalah utama di Indonesia. Berdasarkan SKI 2023, prevalensi berat badan lebih pada dewasa mencapai 14,3% dan obesitas 23,4%. Di Jakarta Selatan, prevalensi berat badan lebih sebesar 16,7%. Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan antara perilaku sarapan dan konsumsi minuman berpemanis dengan status gizi mahasiswa Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta II (Januari–Februari 2025). Metode: deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross-sectional pada 84 mahasiswa yang dipilih secara systematic random sampling. Hasil: Rata-rata skor pengetahuan mahasiswa adalah 81,29 (kategori baik). Sebagian besar mahasiswa sarapan, namun tidak memenuhi rekomendasi energi sarapan (15–30% kebutuhan harian). Rata-rata frekuensi konsumsi minuman berpemanis adalah 8,9 kali/minggu. Asupan gula harian dari minuman berpemanis sebesar 5,6%, melebihi batas anjuran WHO. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara perilaku sarapan (p=0,027), frekuensi konsumsi minuman berpemanis (p=0,006), dan asupan gula harian (p=0,007) dengan status gizi mahasiswa. Disarankan edukasi melalui media digital dan penyediaan air minum gratis di lingkungan kampus.

Abstract

Stunting is a significant health issue affecting the world today, particularly in developing countries. The Southeast Asian region accounts for more than a quarter of all stunted children worldwide. In addition to impacting child development, mortality, and morbidity will also affect the economy and productivity of countries in the future. This scoping review aims to systematically map the research conducted in this area and identify existing knowledge gaps related to risk factors for stunting. The scoping review was conducted using three PubMed databases, the keywords used were "Children", "Risk Factor", and "Potential Stunting". Inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) studies with a population of children under five years of age, (2) studies that addressed risk factors for stunting, (3) studies of all types, and (4) articles published in English. Of the 200 articles, 98 met the inclusion criteria. This review categorised risk factors associated with stunting in children under five years of age into the Food cluster, Physical and social cluster, Health Services, and Housing. Underlying factors included food provisioning practices and access to health services and care. The underlying factors causing stunting are environmental, household health, and socioeconomic factors. This scoping review identified risk factors for childhood stunting, including child attributes, parental traits, the amount of food consumed by the child, child health, eating habits, access to health services, household and environmental health, and socioeconomic status. These factors are interrelated and influence each other. Therefore, paying attention to these factors is necessary to reduce the risk of stunting.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan kelompok usia yang mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pesat sehingga membutuhkan asupan zat gizi makro yang optimal. Ketidakseimbangan asupan gizi dapat berdampak pada status gizi yang kurang atau lebih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII dan VIII SMPN 5 Kota Bengkulu, dengan sampel sebanyak 57 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data status gizi diperoleh melalui pengukuran antropometri (tinggi dan berat badan), sedangkan data asupan zat gizi makro (protein, lemak, dan karbohidrat) dikumpulkan menggunakan formulir Semi Food Frequency Questionnaire (Semi-FFQ). Analisis dilakukan secara univariat dan disajikan dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi. Sebagian besar anak remaja di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Bengkulu memiliki status gizi dalam kategori baik (61,4%), sementara sisanya berada dalam kategori gizi lebih (21,1%), gizi kurang (12,3%) dan obesitas (5,3%). Mayoritas responden memiliki asupan zat gizi makro berlebih. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya edukasi gizi dan pemantauan pola makan guna mencegah risiko gizi lebih dan menjaga keseimbangan asupan sesuai kebutuhan remaja
