Abstract

The research was motivated by the results of previous research, namely that students only reached level 2 of Van Hiele's geometric thinking ability and the motivation for student achievement was low. So that the PARAS learning model was chosen, namely the modification of problems based learning and the ARCS model. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the PARAS learning model on the ability to think geometry and motivation for student achievement. In this research design One-group Pretest-posttest Research Design. The population is mathematics education students of Bina Bangsa Serang University for the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique, namely the second semester students, totaling 22 students. Data collection techniques with geometric thinking ability tests before and after learning and a questionnaire of motivation to excel after learning. The data analysisis the effect size test, percentage, chi-square test and contingency coefficient. In conclusion, it is known that the effectiveness of the PARAS learning model on students' geometry thinking ability is very high and students have been able to reach the deduction level. For the motivation for student achievement after being given learning with the PARAS learning model, it is concluded that the average is relatively high. Furthermore, it is known that there is no relationship between the motivation to excel and the student's geometric thinking ability. The implication of this study is a modified learning model that can improve the ability to think geometry and motivation for student achievement.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research that aims to identify and analyze physical education learning programs during the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2019-2020 school year. The research technique used is the interview method with data collection using interview tests, observation and documentation. The subjects in this study were MTsN 2 and SMPN 11. The results of this study are: (1). The context of the physical education learning program during the Covid-19 pandemic uses the 2013 curriculum by making lesson plans in accordance with the pandemic conditions, by adjusting indicators and learning objectives (2). Physical education learning program inputs are very good and appropriate, as evidenced by the latest education is S1, the teacher has more than 10 years of teaching experience and has participated in teacher performance training programs and teaching development training (3). Physical education learning program process is carried out online for MTsN 2 providing LMS and supporting applications in the network such as zoom, WhatsApp Group, google meet and for SMPN 11 schools using WhatsApp Group to send learning outcomes.

Abstract

A flipped classroom is an innovative approach that focuses on student centered learning. It swaps the arrangement of knowledge different from traditional classroom. This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 1 Sewon students in which learned using Flipped Classroom Learning Model comparing to the Direct Learning Model, and to find out whether the flipped classroom learning model is effectively used in mathematics learning. This is quasi-experimental research. The research subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group (using flipped classroom learning model) and control group (using direct learning model). The results showed that the flipped classroom learning model was more effective than direct learning model in terms of its self-regulated learning (SRL). It can seem from the results of statistic data analysis which shows a significant difference. So, it can be concluded that flipped classroom model can be used as an alternative learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Local wisdom needs to be maintained, protected and preserved, so it does not become extinct. Therefore, scientific studies on extracting local wisdom from the community in schools are increasingly needed. There have been many previous ethnoscience studies, but there have yet to be any ethnoscience studies in the Temanggung district, Central Java, Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to identify and reconstruct the original science of the community contained in the presentation of the art of cengklungan music into scientific science in Ethno-STEM teaching materials. Data collection was carried out in Geblog Village, Kaloran District, Temanggung Regency, Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The obtained data is then analyzed, verified, reduced, and reconstructed into scientific science. The results showed that there were several studies of ethnoscience in the presentation of the art of cengklungan music on the material of vibration, waves, and sound. Three main elements in the presentation of the art of cengklungan music are vocals, instruments, and dance. The ethnoscience study is integrated into Ethno-STEM-based teaching material.

Abstract

Advances in technology and information are often a double-edged sword. The development of art in the world of entertainment is now very easy to enjoy not only through television, but also through youtube and tik-tok which are applications favored by children. The researcher uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach to analyze how art education is channeled through video sharing applications that are currently popular with the younger generation, which is related to child development in terms of personality and artistic aspects. The author refers to Piaget's theory of child development which reveals that when a child begins to develop towards the maturity stage, it will experience biological adaptation to its environment which will cause qualitative changes in its cognitive structure. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the influence of art education related to digital disruption in the era of globalization for children's development, as well as how art is the ideal entertainment world for children. The positive impact of art on social media in the era of globalization makes children more creative, think ahead, and increase self-confidence. While the most severe negative impact is the emergence of addiction or addiction. This article is expected to provide a new picture of art education in accordance with the pattern of child development stages.

Abstract

The massive spread of the Covid-19 pandemic that results in the school closure demands the movement of learning mode from direct interaction to online learning. To satisfy current demand, the learning design needs to be revised, even renew. As technology massively integrated in EFL classroom, the TPACK framework is viewed to be important to maintain the effective technology-rich classroom which also focusing on the content material and pedagogical aspects. This article presents the STLDM (Scaffolded Teachers’ TPACK Lesson Design Model) in ELT as guideline in developing TPACK-based lesson design. Digital wisdom is accommodated in the design since the integration of technology is concerned. This model includes a two-stage development process in which the first step works on constructing the instructional objective, the second stage works and similar to specifying the design goals in determining the decision for achieving the objectives. It is assumed that the model brings betterment in the TPACK of teachers massively and shifts in the lesson design.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of applying intensity so that exercise has high effectiveness on agility. This study aims to partially determine the effectiveness of exercise intensity on the agility of badminton players and the difference between the two. This research is an experimental study using two groups of samples obtained by matching subject designs. The population and samples used were 12 badminton athletes in the Under-13 male group. One group received moderate-intensity exercise, and the other group received low-intensity exercise. The distribution of exercise intensity was done randomly. After 16 exercises, the two sample groups were tested for agility. The research revealed that the data prerequisite test was not met, so a non-parametric quadratic model was carried out. The results of non-parametric data show that exercise using moderate intensity on the agility of U-13 badminton players has an effectiveness of 92.40%, and exercise using low intensity on the agility of U-13 badminton players has an effectiveness of 90.70%. The difference in the effectiveness of low and moderate-intensity training on the agility of Under-13 badminton players is 1.70%. An important finding in this study is that it is better to practice using moderate intensity to improve the agility of the men's Under-13 badminton players.
