Abstract

This study aims to enhance the creativity of fourth-grade students in learning Natural Sciences (IPA) through the application of science process skills based on the environment at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Jauharul Ihsan, Punti Kalo. Creativity is an essential aspect of science learning as it helps students develop critical thinking skills, solve problems, and understand scientific concepts more deeply. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. This study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results show that the application of science process skills based on the environment can significantly enhance students' creativity. This improvement is evident in students' active participation in conducting experiments, asking critical questions, and finding solutions to given problems. Additionally, the surrounding environment serves as an effective learning resource in helping students relate scientific concepts to real-life situations. The conclusion of this study is that the science process skills approach based on the environment can be an effective alternative to enhance students' creativity in science learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR), with the background of SDN 104/IX Kedemangan. The object of this research is the fifth grade students of SDN 104/IX Kedemangan, and the purpose of this research is to apply the constructivism approach in improving students' creativity in the material of light and properties. This research was conducted in three cycles and four stages, including: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. Data were obtained through observation, interviews and documents. Using qualitative analysis to analyze data, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions or verification. The results of the study indicate that the application of the constructivism approach can improve students' creativity in the learning process. The increase in students' creativity can be measured from the assessment of cycle I and assessment of cycle II. The value of student creativity in cycle I was 49.6%, and the value of student creativity in cycle II was 85%. Based on this increase, the results of the study at SDN 104/IX Kedemangan have been realized well.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between time management and the learning outcomes of grade V students of SDN 104256 Rugemuk in the Social Studies subject "Chapter 3: Magnets, Electricity and Technology for Life". This type of research is quantitative with the research method used is correlation. The subjects of this study were 30 people. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used was Product Moment correlation. The results of the study showed a relationship between learning time management and student learning outcomes because the results of the analysis showed that rcount > rtable, namely 0.627 > 0.361, which means that there is a relationship between time management and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between character education and critical thinking skills of the alpha generation in order to become intelligent and characterful individuals to compete globally. This study uses a literature analysis method. The results show that character education involves three main aspects: understanding good values ​​(knowing the good), loving good values ​​(loving the good), and implementing good values ​​(acting the good). Character education is an important element in forming individuals with integrity and noble character. In the digital era, the influence of social media, wide access to information, and technology emphasize the need for more relevant character education. This study examines the role of character education, the challenges faced, and strategies to overcome them through a holistic approach involving families, schools, and communities with wise use of technology .

Abstract

This research is prompted by the low achievement of student learning outcomes in IPAS learning, which is caused by the less than optimal implementation of the learning model carried out by the teacher. So that students are less active in participating in learning, which has an impact on the low learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in IPAS learning using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type Cooperative Learning model in class V SDN 9 Sijunjung. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) using a qualitative research design conducted at SDN 9 Sijunjung with the subject being grade V students at SDN 9 Sijunjung consisting of 14 male students and 13 female students This research was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I two meetings and cycle II one meeting. The research process involved four main stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed an increase from cycle I to cycle II, the average value of the learning module increased from 87.49 (B) in cycle I to 95.83 (A) in cycle II. Teacher activity also increased from an average score of 87.49 (B) cycle I to 96.42 (A) cycle II. Learner activities also increased from 87.49 (B) cycle I to 96.42 (A) cycle II. The learning outcomes of students also showed a significant increase from 75 (C) in cycle I to 91 (A) in cycle II.Overall, the Cooperative Learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) has been proven to be able to improve the learning outcomes of students in class V at SDN 9 Sijunjung

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to write exposition texts for 5th grade elementary school students, before and after the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share strategy. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 7 5th grade students of SD Negeri which totaled 7 students. Data is collected through observation of the learning process and analysis of students' writing. The results showed that before the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share strategy, most students had the ability to write exposition texts in adequate categories. After the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share strategy, there was an increase in students' ability to write exposition texts, with most students in the good category. This study concludes that the Think-Pair-Share strategy can make a positive contribution in improving the ability to write exposition texts for grade 5 elementary school students

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difficulties faced by Phase B Elementary School students inwriting argumentative paragraphs. The ability to write argumentative paragraphs is an important skill in language learning, because it involves the ability to think critically, organize ideas logically, and express opinions with supporting reasons. However, students at this age often have difficulty in formulating clear arguments, organizing ideas, and using effective language. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and analysis of student-written documents. The results of the study indicate that the main challenges faced by students include: difficulty in choosing a title that is appropriate to the topic, lack of skills in organizing ideas systematically, limited vocabulary and grammar mastery, and low motivation to write due to lack of reading and writing habits. This study emphasizes the need for more innovative learning strategies, such as a scientific approach and the importance of teachers providing intensive training in developing vocabulary, sentence structure, and logical thinking so that students can write argumentative paragraphs better.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the fluent reading ability of level 3 elementary school students in grade 3 through the aspects of pauses, intonation, expression, and understanding of the text content. The approach used is qualitative with a question and answer method. Five students read the text "Malin Kundang", then assessed based on four main aspects of fluent reading. The results of the study showed that students' reading abilities in the aspects of pauses (average 4.0), intonation (3.6), and expression (3.4) were in the good category. However, the aspect of understanding was still classified as sufficient (average 2.4), which indicates the need for more effective learning strategies to improve understanding of the text content. These findings confirm that although students are able to read with appropriate pauses, intonation, and expression, their understanding of the meaning of the story is still not optimal. This study recommends more focused and enjoyable reading learning so that students not only read fluently technically, but also understand the content of the reading in depth.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a picture word card learning media to improve early reading skills in first-grade students at SDIT Al-Muthmainnah Jambi. The development model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). During the validation phase, the media received a score of 95% from material experts and 96% from media experts, indicating that it is highly valid. Practicality was tested through teacher responses (100%) and student responses (average 94.4%), while its effectiveness was demonstrated by an average student reading test score of 95%. The results show that this media is highly suitable for use in early reading instruction.

Abstract

Reading difficulties in elementary school students are a challenge that needs to be addressed immediately to support their academic development. Teachers have a very important role in identifying, understanding, and providing appropriate interventions for students who experience reading difficulties. This study aims to determine the role of teachers in overcoming reading difficulties in elementary school students, as well as to determine what factors inhibit reading difficulties in elementary school students. The results of the study indicate that teachers play a role in providing individual guidance, implementing various learning strategies, and creating a learning environment that supports the development of students' reading skills. In addition, cooperation between teachers, parents, and other educators also contributes to helping students overcome reading barriers. With a deeper understanding of the strategies implemented by teachers, it is hoped that this study can be a reference for educators in increasing the effectiveness of reading learning in elementary schools.
