Abstract

The Korean Wave (Hallyu) phenomenon has significantly influenced Indonesian popular culture, including the emergence of fan communities or fandoms. One of the major fandoms that has developed is EXO-L, the fan community of the Korean idol group EXO. This study aims to describe the idolization behavior that occurs within the EXO-L Samarinda community, as well as the factors that drive it and its impact on fans' lives. This study uses Henry Jenkins' fandom theory and uses a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with four informants who are members of the EXO-L Samarinda community, and documentation of community activities both online and offline. The results show that the idolization behavior of EXO-L Samarinda members is formed through three stages of celebrity workshop, namely entertainment-social, intense-personal, and borderline-pathological. This behavior is manifested through intensive discussions about idols, strong emotional bonds, and consumptive actions such as purchasing merchandise and the desire to attend concerts abroad. The main factors driving idolization behavior include interest in EXO's music and visuals, the influence of the social environment, and the role of social media in forming intense interactions. The positive impacts of this behavior include the formation of solidarity and personal motivation, while the negative impacts include consumerism, emotional dependence, and the emergence of excessive fanaticism. This research is expected to contribute to the study of communication science, particularly in understanding the phenomenon of fandom and worship behavior in the digital media era.

Abstract

Building permit administration plays an important role in controlling spatial utilization and generating local revenue through Building Approval (PBG) retribution. To improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in permit services, the Indonesian government introduced the Building Management Information System (SIMBG). However, its implementation has not yet been fully optimal in several regions and has not significantly increased local revenue or compliance with spatial planning regulations. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SIMBG in Bandar Lampung City, examine the influence of user characteristics on system utilization, compare PBG retribution revenue before and after SIMBG implementation, and formulate development strategies to strengthen spatial control. A mixed-method approach was employed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analyses, including text analysis with Orange software, the Mann–Whitney test, and SWOT–QSPM strategic analysis. The results show that SIMBG has improved transparency and accessibility in licensing services. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited public understanding, insufficient socialization, and technical constraints. These issues affect the number of PBG applications and regional retribution revenue. Priority development strategies include strengthening institutional capacity, expanding public outreach, improving system features, and integrating SIMBG with spatial planning policies to enhance retribution management and spatial control effectiveness.

Abstract

Clean water is a fundamental human need that supports public health, social activities, and sustainable economic development. Desa Girimukti, located in the UNESCO Global Geopark Ciletuh–Palabuhanratu area, faces increasing clean water demand due to population growth and tourism development, while also being exposed to environmental and operational risks such as landslides, floods, and source reliability issues. This study aims to plan a risk-based clean water distribution system capable of ensuring service reliability and sustainability. The research applied a quantitative–descriptive approach, including population projection, water demand analysis, risk identification, and hydraulic analysis using the Hazen–Williams equation. The results indicate that the projected water demand at the end of the planning period is approximately 9 L/s, while the available water sources from groundwater wells and surface water provide sufficient capacity. Risk analysis shows that surface water pollution represents the highest risk, requiring appropriate treatment and mitigation measures. The designed centralized distribution system with a main reservoir meets technical criteria for velocity, headloss, and residual pressure. Overall, the proposed system is technically feasible and capable of mitigating key risks in the study areaThe abstract briefly contains a description of the problem and research objectives, methods used, and research results.

Abstract

The provision of green open spaces (GOS) is an important aspect of achieving sustainable urban development and supporting the smart environment dimension of the smart city concept. However, the implementation of green open space planning in Bandar Lampung City still faces various challenges, as reflected in the low percentage of GOS area that has not yet met the minimum requirement of 30 percent mandated by national regulations. This study aims to analyze the implementation of green open space planning in Bandar Lampung City in supporting smart city development, identify factors influencing policy implementation, and determine priority factors affecting GOS implementation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation studies, and questionnaires based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model and AHP with Expert Choice software. The results indicate that GOS implementation remains suboptimal due to limited government commitment, land and budget constraints, weak inter-agency coordination, and insufficient stakeholder involvement. AHP results show that disposition is the most influential factor (0.484), followed by resources (0.320), communication (0.132), and bureaucratic structure (0.064). Strengthening government commitment, budget support, land utilization, and stakeholder collaboration is essential for sustainable GOS implementation and smart city development in Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

The VUCA era presents new challenges to students’ self-regulation skills, particularly in coping with the complexities of digital learning, psychological pressures, and rapid social change. Research on self-regulated learning has thus far been dominated by modern educational psychology approaches that focus on cognitive and performance-based aspects, leaving spiritual and moral dimensions without adequate attention. This study aims to reconstruct the concept of self-regulated learning from the perspective of Islamic educational psychology. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected through a review of various academic books, national journals, and reputable international journals relevant to self-regulated learning, Islamic educational psychology, and education in the VUCA era. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and conceptual analysis. The results indicate that the reconstruction of self-regulated learning from the perspective of Islamic educational psychology involves the integration of cognitive, spiritual, moral, and reflective dimensions through the concepts of muhasabah, muraqabah, mujahadah, and tazkiyatun nafs. This approach contributes to building students’ psychological resilience, learning discipline, moral awareness, and spiritual responsibility in the VUCA era.

Abstract

Education continuously strives to integrate and adapt to changing times. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Self-Learning Activity Units (Unit Kegiatan Belajar Mandiri or UKBM) integrated with a love-based curriculum to enhance summative assessment in Indonesian language learning at MAN 3 Kediri. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method. The data source for this research was a questionnaire distributed to students of MAN 3 Kediri as respondents. The data analysis technique used was qualitative with a narrative study approach, oriented toward describing the observations obtained from the distributed questionnaires. The results of the analysis revealed that the learning process at MAN 3 Kediri fully utilizes UKBM modules as supporting learning materials. Over time, the Indonesian language UKBM has integrated with a love-based curriculum. This integration includes the inculcation of five aspects of Panca Cinta (Five Loves). The Panca Cinta in question comprises: first, love for God, which encourages students to blend religious values into literary texts. Second, love for fellow human beings, which encourages students to develop critical thinking and empathy toward others. Third, love for knowledge, which motivates students to cultivate a passion for reading and writing. Fourth, love for the environment, to intensively analyze the relationship between language texts and their surrounding explanations. Fifth, love for the homeland, which is oriented toward upholding nationalistic values within Indonesian language texts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which overconfidence bias and availability bias influence investment decisions, with risk perception serving as an intervening variable, particularly among retail investors in the Greater Jakarta area. A quantitative approach using SEM-PLS analysis was selected as the methodological framework for this study. The findings reveal that both behavioral biases—namely, overconfidence bias and availability bias—have a proven influence on investors’ risk perception. However, there is a significant difference in terms of direct influence on investment decisions: overconfidence bias does not show a significant direct impact, while availability bias and risk perception are proven to significantly influence investment decision-making. This study also confirms the mediating role of risk perception in two distinct patterns. In relation to overconfidence bias, risk perception acts as a full mediator, meaning that the effect of overconfidence bias on investment decisions can only be mediated through risk perception. Meanwhile, in relation to availability bias, risk perception functions only as a partial mediator, meaning that availability bias still has a direct influence on investment decisions outside the mediation pathway. Overall, the results of this study reinforce the idea that risk perception plays a crucial role in shaping and determining the direction of investment decisions.

Abstract

This study examines the legal certainty of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B) protection amid increasing land acquisition for National Strategic Projects (PSN) in Indonesia. The decline of paddy fields by 803,393 hectares during 2016–2023 reflects the growing pressure on agricultural land conversion. The study focuses on normative conflicts between Law Number 41 of 2009, which emphasizes restrictive protection of LP2B, and the Job Creation Law along with Government Regulation Number 42 of 2021, which promote investment and development facilitation. Using a normative juridical method supported by the theories of Radbruch, Lord Lloyd, Fuller, and Otto, the study finds that the broader definition of public interest under Article 123 of the Job Creation Law creates a multidimensional legal certainty deficit. This includes weakened regulatory stability, reduced predictability, diminished protection of farmers’ rights, and inconsistencies among regulations. The study recommends comprehensive legislative harmonization and stronger integration of LP2B protection into the National Spatial Plan to ensure sustainable agricultural land protection.
