Abstract

The educational problems occurring in Indonesia include, among others, the low quality of facilities and infrastructure, the low quality of teachers, the educational gap between rural and urban areas, low student achievement, the lack of equal educational opportunities, an irrelevant education curriculum, the high cost of education, monotonous teaching methods, the lack of parental involvement in the learning process, poverty, and school dropouts. These problems occur due to several internal and external factors present in both the community and government environments. The method used in this research is a qualitative method and literature study by analyzing data from journals or books that discuss topics related to the issues we address. This research aims to analyze the educational issues that frequently occur in Indonesia, in order to improve the existing quality of education.

Abstract

The problems faced by teachers in the learning process are challenges that affect the quality of education. These problems include a lack of pedagogical competence, difficulties in managing classes, and a lack of understanding of the curriculum. In an effort to overcome this, the role of educational supervisors is very important. Supervisors act as mentors, providing support in the form of advice, training and mentoring to teachers to improve their professional abilities. This study aims to analyze the types of problems faced by teachers and the effectiveness of assistance provided by supervisors in supporting increased teacher competency. The results of the research show that continuous supervision and based on teacher needs is able to have a positive impact on teacher performance, thus contributing to improving the quality of learning in schools

Abstract

the school supervisor plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education in a school. As a supervisor responsible for overseeing, guiding, and providing support to educators and education staff, the school supervisor functions as an agent of change that motivates continuous improvement. The school supervisor acts as a facilitator in the professional development of teachers, analyzes the learning process, and provides constructive feedback for the improvement of the learning process. In addition, the school supervisor also plays a role in designing and implementing educational policies relevant to the needs of the school, ensuring, that the established educational standards are achieved optimally and effectively. Through their role as a supervisor, school supervisor are expected to create a more efficient, effective, and innovative educational environment to achieve national educational goals.

Abstract

In the digital age, technological advancements have extended significant changes in various fields, including science. This technological advancement creates great opportunities for research. The research method used is the internet research method. Internet research or often referred to as internet research and research studies are activities that are concerned with data collection methods carried out, such as this research this time we as students researched and researched about the ethics of science and technology in the digital age. Digital technology has increased access to scientific information and knowledge widely and quickly, which enriches insights and encourages the development of science. However, this ease of access also brings challenges, such as the increased risk of plagiarism and copyright infringement, which require stricter enforcement of rules and increased awareness of academic integrity. In addition, technology encourages the commercialization of science, which can lead to potential conflicts of interest between work together to strengthen the rules and develop appropriate ethical guidelines. Abstract

The development of technology, especially social media such as Instagram, has had a significant impact on people's lifestyles, especially among students. This study aims to explore the influence of Instagram social media on the lifestyle of Communication Science students at Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University Riau. Using quantitative methods, this study collected data through questionnaires and interviews with students who are active users of social media. The results showed that Instagram social media not only influences social interaction but also shapes new consumption patterns and lifestyles. This study found that the use of Instagram can lead to positive or negative lifestyles, depending on how it is used. The findings are expected to provide insights for academics and society regarding the role of social media in shaping young people's lifestyles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of slang language on social media on the purity of Indonesian language, focusing on the perspectives of students at Universitas Negeri Medan. Using a descriptive quantitative survey method, the research involved 61 respondents who completed a questionnaire about language habits and perceptions of slang language. Research findings reveal that 93.4% of respondents acknowledge social media's significant role in spreading slang among young generations. As many as 77% agree that slang can dilute the purity of Indonesian language, and 80.3% experience its impact in daily communication. Interestingly, 95.1% of respondents attempt to avoid using slang in formal communication.The study concludes that although slang language has a strong influence, there is a high awareness among students to preserve the integrity of Indonesian language. Respondents recognized that slang can cause confusion and affect understanding, especially in educational contexts. The primary recommendations include strengthening language education, media campaigns, and developing contextual language usage guidelines.The research highlights the dynamic tension between linguistic evolution and language preservation in the digital age, emphasizing the need for balanced and conscious language use among young Indonesian speakers.

Abstract

Reading needs to start from an early age (primary school). Because if reading becomes a habit that is done every day, it will automatically become a tradition that will continue to be carried out. Interest in reading is one of the main factors that can influence students' reading ability. This is because the presence of interest in terms of desire, or habit of reading in a person (student) will automatically lead that person (student) to read with his or her own will. In increasing students' interest in reading, a teacher must be able to play a good role, including being able to create a learning atmosphere and environment that can make students comfortable in the teaching and learning process and be able to foster interest, motivation and encourage students to learn. The research methods used in this research are observation methods, field surveys, open interviews and documentation. Based on research data, it shows that there are actions or steps taken by the teacher by reading 15 minutes before learning begins, creating a reading corner, using the library as a place to read. So it can be concluded that there is a good role for the school in terms of the GMIT Pulelang Elementary School teachers' board in increasing students' interest in reading.

Abstract

In educational institutions, the main human resource is the teacher. Teachers play a vital role as they are directly involved in the teaching-learning process and the development of learners' potential. Teacher performance affects the quality of learning provided to students. To improve teacher performance, training is required. Training is an acronym for education and training. The purpose of this article is to describe the benefits of interactive training in making media for junior high school teachers. This finding uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The initial data obtained were 34 articles on the benefits of training in 2020-2024. After going through a screening process based on criteria, 19 articles were discarded, because they did not have a Sinta database. The results of the article screening showed that there were 15 articles that were analyzed. The results show that training in making interactive media is beneficial and has a positive impact on teachers at the junior high school level. The training not only increases teachers' knowledge and skills, but also their motivation and creativity in teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of non-smart characteristic teaching modules at SDN 6 Langkai and analyze their impact on the quality of learning. The non-smart teaching module referred to here is a teaching module that does not intensively utilize digital technology, but rather focuses more on conventional teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and direct practice. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews with teachers and students, as well as documentation of teaching modules and lesson plans. The research results depict the process of implementing the teaching module, the challenges faced, and the responses of teachers and students to the implementation of the teaching method.

Abstract

The implementation of character education in schools aims to shape students to have good moral values ​​and positive behavior, which will equip them to become individuals with noble character, responsibility and care for others. The implementation of character education in schools focuses on instilling moral and social values ​​that will shape students into good, responsible and integrity individuals. This is done through the integration of character values ​​in the curriculum, example from teachers, habituation of positive behavior, and involvement of parents and the community. All of this aims to create a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has strong character and is ready to face life's challenges. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research type with data collection methods of observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, there are several students who have poor character, such as behaving in a disrespectful way towards teachers or friends, such as speaking rudely, interrupting conversations, or not respecting other people's opinions. And students are often involved in physical or verbal fights with peers.
