Abstract

This study was motivated by the high ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) in Bank BJB’s Micro Credit product, which once reached 34%, far above the Bank Indonesia threshold. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of Bank BJB’s credit management in minimizing bad loans, identify their causes, and explore handling strategies. The study employed a descriptive quantitative method with a case study approach. The population consisted of 185 microcredit debtors, with 65 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected through field studies, literature reviews, questionnaires, and interviews, and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression, correlation, coefficient of determination, and t-test. The findings reveal that credit management effectiveness significantly influences bad loan minimization with a contribution of 28.1%, while 71.9% is affected by external factors. The better the implementation of planning, credit procedures, 5C and 7P analyses, interest rate determination, and credit supervision, the stronger the bank’s ability to control credit risk. The study concludes that effective credit management is a crucial instrument in maintaining banking health. It is recommended that Bank BJB enhance human resource competence, strengthen supervision, and develop adaptive risk mitigation strategies to external conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of human resource (HR) training and development on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional IV Ambon. The main problem raised is how HR training and development can improve employee performance directly and indirectly through increased job satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis method through the assistance of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The research sample consisted of 50 permanent employees obtained through a purposive sampling technique. The analysis results show that training significantly influences job satisfaction, but does not directly impact employee performance. Conversely, human resource development has a significant impact both directly on performance and indirectly through job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction has been shown to act as a significant mediating variable in the relationship between training and human resource development and employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of improving the quality of human resource training and development, as well as maintaining job satisfaction, to support optimal employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of customer satisfaction in the relationship between trust, commitment, and customer loyalty, with a case study on consumers at Pasar Agrobis Babat, Lamongan Regency. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method, and the data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicate that trust and commitment are the main factors influencing customer loyalty. Trust has a positive and significant effect on both customer satisfaction and loyalty, suggesting that the higher the level of customer trust in the company, the greater their satisfaction and loyalty. Commitment also has a positive and significant direct effect on loyalty, and it is found to be the most dominant factor in shaping customer loyalty, meaning that emotional attachment and long-term relationships play a key role in maintaining customer loyalty. Meanwhile, the effect of satisfaction on loyalty is weakly significant (approaching 0.05), indicating that satisfaction does not always guarantee customer loyalty. Furthermore, commitment does not significantly affect satisfaction, implying that satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between commitment and loyalty. However, the analysis shows that customer satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between trust and loyalty, meaning that trust influences loyalty both directly and indirectly through increased customer satisfaction. In conclusion, customer loyalty is primarily determined by trust and commitment rather than satisfaction alone. Therefore, companies should prioritize strategies that strengthen customer trust and commitment to foster long-term loyalty.

Abstract

Professional ethics are a fundamental pillar in maintaining the integrity and public trust in law enforcement agencies. This article aims to analyze the morality and ethical obligations of law enforcement through a legal philosophy approach, particularly through Immanuel Kant's theory of morality, John Rawls's concept of justice, and Lon Fuller's principle of legal internal morality. Using normative-philosophical research methods, this study examines the relationship between moral values, legal norms, and the practice of the law enforcement profession in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that integrity, honesty, and impartiality are not only demands of the code of ethics, but also a manifestation of the legal morality that underlies the legitimacy of law enforcement actions. This article asserts that without a strong moral foundation, the law loses its value of justice and is incapable of carrying out its social functions. Thus, professional ethics are a primary requirement for creating a fair and humane legal system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence customer purchasing decisions for Cold N Brew coffee products in Medan City. The independent variables studied include consumer behavior, price, and product quality. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a binary logistic regression approach, where the dependent variable is binary (purchase or not purchase). Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents who are Cold N Brew customers. The results of the study indicate that partially and simultaneously, the three independent variables have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The significance value of each variable, namely consumer behavior (0.002), price (0.001), and product quality (0.002), with a Nagelkerke R Square value of 0.437. This indicates that the model built can explain 43.7% of the variability in purchasing decisions, while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the model. Based on these results, Cold N Brew management is advised to continue improving product quality, adjusting pricing strategies, and building closeness with customers to strengthen loyalty and increase purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Bankruptcy of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN Persero) The chosen theme is motivated by the absence of regulations regarding limitations on bankruptcy petitions for BUMN Persero, which has caused differences in opinion leading to legal deviations in practice. Regulations on bankruptcy petitions for BUMN Persero can serve as a reference, but they must still be adjusted considering the fundamental special characteristics of BUMN. The legal materials obtained by the author will be analyzed using descriptive and evaluative analysis techniques. In this regard, the author collects legal materials such as legislation and also conducts source searches on the internet by accessing official sites like e-books, e-journals, or official articles published online. Based on the research using the above methods, the author finds that there are philosophical, juridical, and sociological urgencies that make regulations regarding bankruptcy petitions for BUMN Persero necessary. These regulations aim to prevent misinterpretations concerning the parameters of limitations on BUMN operating in the public interest sector, and banking regulations for BUMN Persero can prevent differences of opinion that result in legal deviations in practice. Law No. 37 of 2004 regulates bankruptcy of BUMN but does not clearly regulate bankruptcy petitions specifically for BUMN Persero, so it requires revision or additions. However, this law can be used as a reference in analyzing bankruptcy regulations for BUMN Persero. There are two models of bankruptcy petitions depending on the legal subject or the status of the company being petitioned for bankruptcy. It can be understood that bankruptcy petitions for BUMN Perum are filed by the Minister of Finance, whereas for BUMN Persero, if 100% or the entire share ownership is held by the State, the Minister of Finance can file the bankruptcy petition. However, if this is not applicable, the Bankruptcy Law does not apply because the Minister of Finance acts as the manager of State Assets.

Abstract

The acquisition of ownerless land for national strategic infrastructure projects, particularly in the electricity sector, presents significant legal and administrative challenges. Ownerless land often becomes an obstacle to development due to unclear ownership status, resulting in delays in project implementation. This study aims to analyze the legal framework, regulatory implementation, and administrative constraints in the acquisition of such land. A normative legal research method is employed, utilizing statutory and case study approaches—specifically, the 150 kV Ketapang–Sukadana High Voltage Overhead Line (SUTT) project. Data were analyzed qualitatively through literature reviews, legal documents, and relevant reports. The findings indicate that the regulation concerning the use of ownerless land for public purposes and its financing is governed by Law No. 2 of 2012 on Land Acquisition for Development in the Public Interest and Supreme Court Regulation (PERMA) No. 3 of 2016. However, the implementation of these regulations remains problematic due to misinterpretations among stakeholders. Administrative constraints also arise from difficulties in obtaining complete documentation. These conditions have led to delays in national strategic projects and economic inefficiencies. Therefore, regulatory harmonization, data integration among relevant agencies, and capacity-building for involved parties are essential to enhance the efficiency of land acquisition processes.
