Abstract

The Village Government of Jatirenggo in Glagah district, Lamongan Regency has initiated efforts to enhance public services through the introduction of an innovative application called Jatirenggo Integrated Online Services (JALANTOL). This web- and Android-based platform was developed to facilitate various online community services, including administrative processes, promotion of local UMKM, news and announcements, complaint submissions, and an e-library. Despite these advancements, some residents still struggle to understand or navigate the features within the application. This study aims to analyze public service innovation through the implementation of the JALANTOL application in Jatirenggo Village. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the research is grounded in the innovation success theory by Bugge et al. (2018), which includes six key indicators: governance and innovation, sources of ideas for innovation, innovation culture, capabilities and tools, objectives, outcomes, drivers and obstacles, and collecting innovation data for single innovation. The findings reveal that the development of JALANTOL aligns with governance standards and has been socialized to the public. The innovation stemmed from the Village Head’s response to technological progress and the needs of a mobile population. The culture of innovation is evident through leadership support and active problem-solving by village officials. Additionally, most staff and residents have the skills to operate the system, supported by training and infrastructure improvements. The goals of the application are largely being met, as many residents have adopted it for public service use, despite persistent technical challenges such as server downtime. Collaboration with various stakeholders continues to improve the application through feature additions and interface updates.

Abstract

Garbage has become a big problem and is an important issue in today’s urban environmental problems. The frequency of waste generation can never decrease or run out, even from time to time it increases along with the increasing growth of the human population and the complexity of human activities. The waste bank is a national program originating from the government, especially from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia. The definition of a Waste Bank according to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia Number 13 of 2012 is a place for sorting and collecting waste that can be recycled and/or reused which has economic value. The research was conducted in 3 different places in the city of Surabaya, the first was the Samber Garbage Bank in Kec. Tegalsari, the second is the Pitoe waste bank in Jambangan, to be precise, RW 03 RT 07, and the third is the Surabaya Main Garbage Bank which is located in Pucang Sewu, Gubeng District. The variables studied include knowledge, attitudes, availability of sorting facilities, legality, regulation, sorting flow, source and final destination of waste, benefits of waste banks, community response (if there’s anything else, I’ll just remember that). The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors related to the effectiveness of community participation in the waste bank program that is already available in the city of Surabaya. The approach used in this research is qualitative. With the aim of knowing the effectiveness of community participation in waste management through the waste bank program in Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to study the form and dynamics of religious consciousness of Muslim community as a minority group in Gurusinga Village, Berastagi District, Karo County. The approach used was qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that despite being in a non-Muslim majority environment, Muslims in this village nevertheless demonstrate high religiosity, characterized by consistently performing worship services, involvement in religious collective activities, and a tolerant attitude towards embracing other religions. The main supporting factors that strengthen their religiosity include the role of religious figures, support from the village government, social harmony among religious communities, as well as a collective spirit as a minority community. On the other hand, challenges such as the proximity of worship facilities, the lack of religious teaching staff, the negative influence of social media, as well as economic pressures also continue to affect. This study provides an overview that religious consciousness can grow strongly in minority communities if it is supported by inclusive social structures and high internal solidarity.

Abstract

Orphanages in Indonesia play an important role in supporting children who do not have families, helping them develop well. These children are cared for by caregivers who act as substitute parents, with the hope that they can blend in and socialize in a diverse environment. However, adolescents in orphanages often face emotional problems, such as difficulties in expressing feelings and seeking social support, which can affect their mental health. This study uses qualitative methods to understand the emotional journey of a 17-year-old adolescent in an orphanage in Medan, with a focus on micro-interventions to help manage her emotions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Diklat as a human resource development strategy. This qualitative study uses interview and observation methods to collect data from Diklat participants and instructors. The results show that Diklat is effective in improving participants’ abilities and skills, as well as increasing motivation and job satisfaction. However, this study also found several challenges faced in implementing Diklat, such as the lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure. This study provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of Diklat by improving facilities and infrastructure, as well as enhancing instructor quality

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of bilingual learning in improving the English language skills of elementary school students. This research is a qualitative research with literature study method. The data sources used come from various literatures, journals, and previous research results that are relevant to the topic of bilingual learning. The data collection technique is done through literature study or literature study which is analyzed descriptively. This study examines several important aspects, namely the definition of bilingual learning, objectives, benefits, stages of implementation, challenges, and implementation strategies in the elementary school environment. The results of this study show that bilingual learning has an important role in improving students’ communication, cognitive and cross-cultural understanding skills. Although faced with challenges such as limited resources and teacher abilities, the application of appropriate strategies can support the effectiveness of the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that bilingual learning can be effectively implemented in elementary schools with good planning and management, so as to improve students’ language competence in facing the era of globalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjeleaskan tentang pengaruh beban kerja terhadap burnout karyawan di PT. X Kota Bekasi. Penelitiam ini berujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara beban kerja dengan burnout  di karyawan PT. X di kota Bekasi, dengan total 35 responden yang berasal dari karyawan di PT. X kota Bekasi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja dapat menjadi salah satu prediktor burnout pada karyawan di PT. X Kota bekasi.

Abstract

The professionalism of a counselor is not only determined by the mastery of technical knowledge and skills, but is also supported by ethical and aesthetic values that are the foundation in the practice of guidance and counseling services. Counselor ethics include a commitment to moral principles such as integrity, responsibility and confidentiality. While aesthetics refer to sensitivity to the beauty of harmonious, empathetic and dignified human relations. This article aims to examine the role of ethics and aesthetics in shaping the professionalism of counselors and how these values are applied in real practice. Through a qualitative descriptive approach and literature study, this article finds that ethics provides a normative framework for a counselor, while aesthetics enrich the quality of the counseling relationship by creating a humane and meaningful experience. Ethical and aesthetic integrity are essential in building trust and the success of counseling services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital transformation and technology literacy in strengthening teacher professionalism in the digital era. Teacher professionalism requires an integration of pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies with digital fluency. The research applied a qualitative approach using library research, limited interviews, and observations of teaching practices in several primary and secondary schools. The findings indicate that teachers with high technological literacy are more capable of designing interactive and adaptive learning as well as keeping up with educational technology trends. Digital transformation also facilitates broader professional collaboration and development through online platforms and digital learning communities. This study concludes that technology literacy is a vital foundation for supporting digital transformation and serves as a key indicator of sustainable teacher professionalism

Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers’ ability to design bilingual teaching modules within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum at the elementary school level. The research employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach, in which data were obtained through an analysis of relevant national and international journals. The findings indicate that the success of designing bilingual teaching modules depends on teachers’ understanding of five key aspects: analysis of student, teacher, and school conditions; identification of the Pancasila Student Profile; formulation of Learning Objective Pathways (ATP); development of module components; and evaluation and follow-up. Challenges faced by teachers include limited foreign language proficiency, lack of training, and the absence of adequate technical guidelines. Therefore, continuous training and mentoring are essential to enable teachers to create effective, contextual bilingual teaching modules that support the achievement of the Merdeka Curriculum goals and the Pancasila Student Profile.
