Abstract

This research analyzes in depth the complex relationship between ethics, norms and law in the context of implementing Sharia Economic Law. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis studies through library literature where study sources include books, journals and the internet that are relevant to the research object. Through structured research methods, this research investigates how understanding Islamic ethics influences the norms that apply in Islamic financial practices and the important role of law in ensuring compliance with Sharia principles in every transaction and economic activity. The results of this research are that, in this domain, the main elements that form the basis of Islamic Economic Law are ethics, norms and law. Islamic ethics, which emphasizes integrity, justice, and social responsibility as core values, provides a moral foundation for action in economic activities. On the contrary, social and cultural norms, including the prohibition of usury and the principle of caution in investment, have an important role in guiding Islamic economic behavior. Law, in this context, is the formal framework that regulates and ensures compliance with Sharia principles. This includes regulations implemented by authorized institutions and enforced through the judicial system.

Abstract

The founders of the nation based their philosophy, known as Pancasila, on the religious and cultural diversity of the Indonesian people. It is the foundation of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyse and present a summary of Muhammadiyah's dar al-'ahdi (national consensus) interpretation of the Pancasila State concept. One of the biggest social-community organisations, Muhammadiyah, sees Pancasila as a dar al-'ahdi (national consensus) that was established in the Muhammadiyah Muktamar decision tanfidz of 2015. Because Muhammadiyah holds the belief that Pancasila must occupy the highest position in the life of the nation and state with the concept of Pancasila state darul al-'ahdi wa shahadah, this concept was developed. Muhammadiyah has observed Pancasila being strengthened and is dedicated to doing so as well as interpreting the diversity that has been reflected in the faith and conviction of Muhammadiyah life's values. The Pancasila as Dar al-'Ahdi wa al-Syahadah-based Indonesian state already has a solid ideological foundation.

Abstract

This study investigates the challenges affecting the implementation of the new business education curriculum in colleges of education in the South-East region of Nigeria. A survey design was employed to efficiently collect data from 51 participants, including lecturers and students, from selected colleges of education. Self-structured questionnaires distributed via Google Forms accommodated respondents' schedules. To ensure questionnaire validity, input from three professionals in Curriculum Development and Educational Management was sought, yielding Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of 0.89. Data analysis included frequency counts, percentages, mean, standard deviation, and t-tests to assess challenges. The study identified challenges in implementing the new business education curriculum in South-East Nigerian colleges. These include aligning with industry standards, balancing theoretical and practical components, faculty resistance to change, outdated infrastructure, limited funding, and inadequate staffing. Flexibility, practical skills, relevance, adaptation to feedback, digital integration, and budget constraints were highlighted as critical factors. Recommendations include comprehensive training workshops, increased resource provision, policy advocacy, and a culture embracing innovation. Addressing these challenges can enhance the effectiveness of the new business education curriculum, benefiting lecturers, students, and the quality of business education in the South-East of Nigeria.
