Abstract

Kemampuan matematika pada siswa sekolah dasar di wilayah pedesaan sering kali rendah akibat minimnya minat belajar, keterbatasan fasilitas, dan metode pembelajaran yang kurang menarik serta lemahnya pendampingan belajar dirumah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan matematika dan minat anak pada matematika melalui program bimbingan belajar berbasis fun learning di Desa Kebun Kelapa, Kecamatan Secanggang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi awal, analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan materi, pelaksanaan bimbingan, serta evaluasi. Program diikuti oleh 16 anak usia SD kelas 3–6 selama 12 kali pertemuan dengan durasi 90 menit per sesi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui tes kemampuan matematika (pre-test dan post-test) serta angket minat belajar. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai matematika dari 58,3 menjadi 78,7 dengan N-Gain 0,49 (kategori sedang menuju tinggi), serta peningkatan minat belajar dari 62% menjadi 85%. Program ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan keterampilan matematika dan minat belajar siswa, sehingga dapat direkomendasikan untuk direplikasi di daerah lain dengan kondisi serupa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the compliance level of Land and Building Tax (PBB) taxpayers in enhancing local revenue (PAD) at the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Medan City from 2020 to 2024. A descriptive method with a quantitative approach was employed by collecting and presenting relevant data. Data were gathered through interviews and documentation, including taxpayer compliance rates, records of registered and active taxpayers, and realization data of PBB and PAD revenues. The results indicate that the compliance level of PBB taxpayers in Medan City remains fluctuating and has not reached an optimal level, although the contribution of PBB to PAD has been relatively significant each year. These findings suggest that taxpayer compliance plays a critical role in supporting PAD revenues, while also highlighting the need for strategies to improve compliance through enhanced public services, effective outreach, and incentive-based tax policies.

Abstract

Qurban is a major Islamic ritual performed annually during Eid al-Adha, carrying spiritual, social, and educational values, particularly in educational institutions. Its implementation must comply with Islamic law, upholding principles of halal, cleanliness, and trustworthiness, from animal selection to meat distribution. This community service program aims to enhance the understanding, skills, and awareness of qurban committee members and foundation residents regarding halal, safe, and sharia-compliant qurban practices. Methods include disseminating qurban jurisprudence, providing technical training on slaughtering and animal handling, and conducting participatory field simulations. Results indicate improved knowledge of Islamic law, increased awareness of trust, and enhanced technical skills among participants. The program benefits the current year’s qurban implementation and is expected to serve as an educational, professional, and sharia-compliant model for other educational institutions in the future.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad ke-21 menuntut peserta didik memiliki empat kecakapan utama, yaitu cara berpikir (kreativitas dan inovasi), cara bekerja (komunikasi dan kolaborasi), alat untuk bekerja (pengetahuan umum dan keterampilan ICT), serta cara hidup (kesadaran budaya dan kompetensi diri). Perkembangan era digital memunculkan berbagai platform pembelajaran, namun peran guru tetap tak tergantikan sebagai pengajar dan pendidik. Artikel ini membahas mengenai salah satu platform evaluasi yang mengkombinasikan konsep gamifikasi. Data didapatkan melalui studi literatur terhadap 20 jurnal dengan kata kunci gamifikasi, evaluasi, deep learning, dan wordwall. Pendekatan joyful learning yang menciptakan lingkungan belajar menyenangkan dapat menumbuhkan motivasi intrinsik dan rasa ingin tahu siswa. Salah satu strategi yang selaras adalah gamifikasi, yang mengintegrasikan elemen permainan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi belajar. Abstract

The primary objective of this community service program is to support academic success and improve student well-being through effective mentoring. The training was conducted using an integrated approach. Core activities included the preparation of training materials and media, active listening practice, counseling simulations, workshops on student mental health issues, panel discussions with professional counselors, and the use of questionnaires to identify student needs. Regular monitoring and evaluation of the program were conducted to ensure its effectiveness and continuity. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and practical skills of academic advisors. The average participant knowledge score increased from 60% in the pre-test to 85% in the post-test (a 25-point increase; p < 0.05). Furthermore, practical counseling skills, as measured by simulation observations, increased from 55% to 80%. Student satisfaction surveys with academic and emotional mentoring also saw a 30% increase, with 75% of students reporting feeling more heard and receiving adequate support, up from 45% before the training. The training also strengthened collaboration between instructors and students, with 80% of instructors reporting increased communication frequency and student active participation in mentoring sessions by 40%.

Abstract

This study investigates the translation of material culture elements in Para Priyayi, a novel by Umar Kayam, into German in its translated version Ein Hauch von Macht, focusing on cultural loss and mediation strategies. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the study analyzes 146 instances of material culture identified in the corpus and classifies them based on translation techniques. The results show that 63 entries exhibit cultural loss, mainly through borrowing, particularization, generalization, omission, and reduction. Meanwhile, 41 entries involve mediation strategies such as adaptation, description, amplification, modulation, and substitution. The remaining 42 entries are neutral, employing literal translation, established equivalent, and transposition. Cultural loss occurs when no direct equivalents exist in the target culture or when contextual information is insufficient, whereas mediation strategies help target readers understand complex cultural meanings. The findings highlight the translator’s role as a cultural mediator, underscoring the importance of cultural sensitivity and contextual awareness in literary translation.

Abstract

SMK Ki Hajar Dewantoro merupakan sekolah swasta kejuruan yang telah terakreditasi A di kota Tangerang, Banten. Sekolah ini memiliki sejumlah guru yang sangat berpengalaman dalam mengajar, namun dalam kondisi pandemic saat ini perlu metoda pengajaran online sehingga kami dari tim abdimas Unindra berbagi pengetahuan yang memudahkan para guru dalam proses belajar mengajar kepada para siswanya, yang dapat memberikan nilai tambah dalam penyampaian bahan ajar. Abdimas ini memberikan pelatihan mengenai google form dan bit.ly sehingga memudahkan para guru dalam pembelajaran e-learning. Dalam penyampaiannya, meliputi pengenalan akan pemanfaaatan TI di era revolusi industry 4.0 , pemakaian aplikasi google dan pelatihan menggunakan aplikasi bit.ly. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelatihan ini cukup berdampak positif, pihak mitra menyatakan kepuasannya terhadap pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan.

Abstract

This research focuses on designing a Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network in Perumnas Condongcatur, Yogyakarta, with Gigabit Capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology. in the area. The project is driven by the increasing need for reliable internet  services  according to  the eligibility  standards  of the Indonesia Digital Network (IDN) program. This research includes results according to technical, economic, and social aspects related to FTTH design. The use of Google Earth and Opticsystem software resulted in attenuation  of less than -28dBm for attenuation feasibility measurements. The results of this gpon-based infrastructure design are expected to provide a solution for PT Madina Solusi Indonesia in providing internet services that support digital transformation in the region.

Abstract

Health law counseling is a preventive effort to equip nursing students with a strong understanding of ethical and legal responsibilities in nursing practice. This activity was conducted through an educational and interactive approach based on health law counseling. This community applied a descriptive qualitative method involving 30 nursing students as participants selected purposively. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and written reflections. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' understanding of legal issues such as malpractice, informed consent, and the scope of professional authority. Students also demonstrated increased confidence in responding to legal dilemmas during clinical practice. Law counseling based on case studies and simulation proved effective in building students’ legal awareness and professionalism. The result of this community service affirms the importance of integrating health law into the nursing education curriculum and highlights the need for continuous legal education programs as part of the strategy to improve the ethical and legal competencies of future nurses.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of Types of Roof Trusses at SMK Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli. The research background lies in the low student achievement scores, which were below the mastery criteria, and the learning process that was still dominated by lectures, making it less connected between theory and practice. This research employed an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument was validated using the Product Moment correlation and tested for reliability with Cronbach’s Alpha, both showing satisfactory results. Data analysis included prerequisite tests, correlation, simple linear regression, N-Gain analysis, and hypothesis testing. The findings revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes after applying CTL, with a high level of effectiveness. CTL was proven to create contextual, interactive, and meaningful learning, fostering active student engagement and enhancing conceptual understanding. The results recommend CTL as an effective strategy for teaching technical subjects in vocational schools.
