Abstract

The understanding of mathematical concepts in elementary school students, especially in the material of plane figures, is still a common problem that appears in various studies due to the abstract characteristics of the material and is difficult for students to visualize. Although information technology-based media has been widely developed, the research gap is still visible in how the application of IT media is adapted in the real context of elementary school classes, especially in areas with limited facilities such as Gunungkembang Public Elementary School. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the use of IT-based learning media in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the material of plane figures. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation, which are analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The results of the study show that the use of IT-based media in the form of interactive videos and animations not only improves students' conceptual understanding abilities including explaining concepts, identifying the properties of plane figures, and solving contextual problems but also creates a more interactive and conducive classroom atmosphere, so that the dynamic visualizations presented make abstract concepts more concrete and make IT media an effective learning strategy for elementary school students.

Abstract

This community service (PkM) activity aims to improve the quality of Lecturer Workload (BKD) reporting and the integrity of lecturers' scientific publications through intensive outreach on identifying and avoiding predatory journals. Improving the quality of BKD is crucial considering that scientific publications are a key component in evaluating academic performance and submitting Credit Points (AK). The PkM was implemented in the form of a one-day workshop and outreach at each of the authors' affiliated campuses. The implementation method included material delivery (interactive lectures) and hands-on practice (journal identification simulations using Beall and DOAJ/Scopus criteria). Effectiveness was measured by comparing pre-test and post-test results to assess improvements in lecturers' competency and awareness. A total of 90 lecturers from three affiliated campuses fully participated in this activity. Statistical analysis showed an average increase in knowledge scores of 35% in the post-test (p < 0.01), indicating that the outreach successfully improved lecturers' understanding of the characteristics of predatory journals (e.g., promises of rapid publication, hidden fees, and lack of a credible peer-review process). Furthermore, there was an increase in lecturers' confidence in selecting reputable journals. This outreach model has proven effective in equipping lecturers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to protect their scientific work from the threat of predatory journals. The primary contribution of this PkM is to support higher education institutions' efforts to ensure the quality of Tridharma outputs and maintain the accountability of the BKD (Regional Research Service Agency) in accordance with national standards.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and changes in cultural consumption patterns have made traditional performing arts face significant challenges. Guel Dance, a Gayo cultural heritage, is also under pressure due to a lack of documentation, limited promotion, and low digital literacy among rural arts communities. This community service activity aims to digitize Guel Dance through audio-visual documentation, digital publication, and capacity building at the Genali Studio. The program, which took place from November 11–15, 2025, included initial discussions, task allocation, digitalization training, the complete and collaborative recording of Guel Dance with Munalo Dance, and the development and documentation of new costumes. The results show that digitalization not only strengthens cultural preservation but also opens up creative economic opportunities, expands public reach, and increases the studio's independence and competitiveness. Amid globalization and technological advances, traditional performing arts are increasingly under pressure from changing cultural consumption patterns. Guel Dance is also threatened by the shift in interest of the younger generation towards digital entertainment. Therefore, a digitalization program is crucial to bridge tradition with the demands of the digital era. Through digital media, Guel Dance can be well documented, promoted innovatively, and increase its economic value, strengthen cultural identity, and encourage cross-generational interaction.

Abstract

Tinder, an online dating application, was initially designed to help users find new friends or long-term partners. However, its function has shifted significantly among Indonesian youth. This study aims to describe the misuse of Tinder, identify the factors contributing to this shift, and analyze its impact on promiscuous behavior. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research collected data through in-depth interviews with Tinder users aged 20–35, observations of application usage, and relevant literature review. The findings reveal that Tinder is no longer used solely for romantic relationship building but has increasingly become a platform for non-committal interactions such as friends with benefits (FWB), one-night stands (ONS), and other forms of sexual engagement. This functional shift is influenced by open-minded attitudes, strong curiosity, and environmental support. Consequently, the misuse of Tinder contributes to the rise of promiscuous behavior among Indonesian youth. The study highlights the need for improved digital literacy and responsible supervision in the use of online dating applications.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to represent the Sufi sentences engravedon the tombstone of Sultan Malik Al-Saleh in the form of a mural as a medium for strengthening visual culture in the Manbaul Dayah environment, Jantho City. The Sufi values ​​contained in the tombstone reflect the spiritual depth and local wisdom that are important to be passed on to the younger generation, especially the students at the dayah. Through a participatory workshop method involving the community service team and students, this activity was carried out in three main stages: (1) Dissemination related to visual arts in the realm of education, visual arts in Acehnese cultural history and mura art. (2) mural visual design and collaborative workshop process at the dayah. The results of this community service activity show that murals not only function as aesthetic elements, but also as educational media that can strengthen the understanding of cultural and spiritual values ​​in dayah education. This activity contributes to strengthening local cultural identity and increasing appreciation for the historical heritage

Abstract

The reading hut, which previously had limitations in terms of space comfort, layout, and minimal supporting facilities, was renovated to be more functional, attractive, and able to create a conducive learning atmosphere. The renovation included rearranging the interior, improving lighting, adding bookshelves, reading tables, and a multifunctional area that can be used for discussions and other literacy activities. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this activity are expected to increase interest in reading, expand access to literacy, and make the reading hut a center of educational and social activities for the Mekar Baru Village community. This renovation also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the community, village government, and related parties in supporting human resource development through the literacy movement

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pemasaran digital dan kredibilitas brand ambassador terhadap niat beli ulang produk Aqua yang dimediasi oleh boikot konsumen di tengah tantangan reputasi merek. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian melibatkan 100 mahasiswa Universitas Trunojoyo Madura sebagai responden yang ditentukan melalui teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas brand ambassador berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap niat beli ulang, sedangkan pemasaran digital tidak memiliki dampak signifikan baik terhadap niat beli maupun perilaku boikot. Selain itu, boikot konsumen terbukti berpengaruh langsung secara dominan terhadap niat beli, namun tidak berperan sebagai variabel mediasi. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa strategi penggunaan figur kredibel lebih efektif dibandingkan kampanye digital dalam mempertahankan penjualan saat terjadi krisis boikot.

Abstract

Matematika adalah pelajaran yang diajarkan dalam setiap jenjang pendidikan mulai dari tingkat Taman Kanak-kanak sampai Perguruan Tinggi. Penanaman konsep dasar matematika sangat penting diberikan kepada siswa sekolah dasar khusus pada bidang geometri. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakt ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat konsep dasar geometri siswa melalui demonstrasi simetri lipat dan simetri putar serta untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan demonstrasi dengan partisipatif yang melibatkan 30 siswa SD Harapan Baliem kelas 4, dosen dan mahasiswa Pendidikan matematika. Kegiatan meliputi pengenalan bangun datar, pendemonstrasian simetri lipat dan simetri putar, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pendemonstrasian simetri lipat dan simetri putar dapat memperkuat konsep geometri siswa hal ini terlihat siswa dapat melakukan penempelan bangun datar dan menentukan jumlah simetri dan simetri putar dengan benar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan dan persamaan sistem pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) di Indonesia dan Finlandia berdasarkan aspek kurikulum, kualifikasi guru, dan mutu pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur (library research) dan analisis isi (content analysis) dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah, artikel, dan publikasi resmi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum Finlandia fleksibel, adaptif, dan berbasis pengembangan holistik anak dengan integrasi nilai kesetaraan, inklusi, dan karakter, sedangkan kurikulum Indonesia lebih terarah pada pencapaian kompetensi dasar dan integrasi nilai yang belum merata. Kualifikasi guru di Finlandia menekankan pendidikan formal sarjana PAUD, kompetensi pedagogik tinggi, sertifikasi wajib, dan pelatihan berkelanjutan, sedangkan di Indonesia kompetensi guru bervariasi dan pelatihan berkelanjutan terbatas. Mutu pembelajaran Finlandia unggul melalui metode bermain dan eksplorasi, evaluasi formatif, keterlibatan anak aktif, serta sarana-prasarana yang memadai, sementara di Indonesia masih bergantung pada kesiapan guru dan fasilitas. Studi ini menyarankan adaptasi praktik terbaik Finlandia untuk meningkatkan kualitas PAUD di Indonesia.

Abstract

Ketidaksinkronan pertanggungjawaban pidana notaris dalam tindak pidana korupsi kredit perbankan dengan studi kasus Putusan Nomor 42/Pid.Sus-TPK/2022/PN Medan. Kasus ini menunjukkan bahwa notaris kerap ditarik sebagai pihak yang bertanggung jawab dalam penyimpangan kredit meskipun kewenangannya hanya bersifat administratif dan tidak terkait dengan evaluasi kelayakan kredit maupun pencairan dana yang merupakan kewenangan bank. Penuntutan terhadap notaris dinilai tidak sejalan dengan teori pertanggungjawaban pidana yang mensyaratkan adanya perbuatan melawan hukum, kesalahan (mens rea), hubungan kausalitas, serta keterlibatan aktif pelaku. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan, pendekatan kasus, dan pendekatan konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penarikan notaris sebagai terdakwa dalam perkara korupsi sering disebabkan oleh salah tafsir terhadap batas kewenangan notaris dan perluasan konsep kausalitas yang tidak tepat. Putusan Pengadilan Tipikor Medan yang membebaskan notaris menegaskan bahwa pembuatan akta dan cover note tidak dapat dianggap sebagai bagian dari tindak pidana korupsi tanpa bukti keterlibatan aktif maupun niat jahat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya harmonisasi regulasi dan pedoman teknis bagi penegak hukum guna mencegah kriminalisasi profesi notaris dan memastikan penerapan pertanggungjawaban pidana sesuai dengan asas geen straf zonder schuld.
