Abstract

Technological advancements in education require teachers to present engaging and enjoyable learning experiences that align with the characteristics of today’s digital generation. The use of technology-based learning media, such as Android applications, offers a solution for creating a more interactive and effective learning environment. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Android-based interactive learning media Solite Kids in improving student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject for seventh-grade students at MTsN 3 Kota Surabaya. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group format. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments administered to two classes: class VII G as the experimental group using Solite Kids, and class VII H as the control group using conventional teaching methods. Data analysis included normality testing, homogeneity testing, and an independent sample t-test using SPSS software. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental group increased to 80.17, while the control group achieved an average of 70.83. The independent sample t-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.009 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Android-based interactive learning media Solite Kids is effective in improving Fiqh learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at MTsN 3 Kota Surabaya. Abstract

This study explores the role of the tahlilan tradition in the actualization of Islamic educational values within the community, particularly in Sidomulyo Hamlet, Tanggungharjo Village, Grobogan District, Grobogan Regency. Tahlilan, a long-standing tradition, is often a subject of debate within the community, with some accusing it of being heretical and viewing it as an act of shirk, considering it an evil that must be eradicated. This research aims to delve deeper into how tahlilan functions not only as a religious ritual but also as a means of actualizing Islamic educational values, while simultaneously strengthening social cohesion within society. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed in this study, involving interviews with religious leaders, observation of tahlilan practices, and documentation of relevant activities. The findings indicate that tahlilan serves as a medium to remind individuals of death and fosters stronger social and spiritual connections among participants. Moreover, tahlilan also acts as a tool for da’wah, enhancing the understanding of Islamic values and encouraging the practice of righteous deeds in everyday life. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of Islamic education, particularly in understanding the role of local traditions as an effective educational tool beyond formal institutions. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the application of Sapta Darma Spiritual Values (KSD) in the perspective of Islamic Education in Kendal Regency, which is known for its religious and social diversity. The diversity of religions in Indonesia, including local beliefs such as Sapta Darma, shows relevance in shaping the social and moral character of the community. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies. The purposive sampling technique was applied to select five informants who adhered to the Sapta Darma sect. The results of the study show that the teachings of KSD, which emphasizes values such as monotheism, ethics towards nature, and integration with Islamic educational values, are in line with Islamic moral principles. KSD plays a role in building social harmony, ethical awareness, and tolerance between religious communities in Kendal Regency. In addition, values such as courage, patience, individual freedom, and concern for the common good taught in KSD contribute to the formation of strong and responsible character. These findings affirm the importance of integrating local and spiritual teachings in Islamic education to strengthen the spiritual and moral identity of Indonesian society. This research fills a gap in the understanding of the synergy between Islamic education and local teachings, especially in forming a more harmonious and integrity society Keywords: Analysis, Values, Sapta Darma, Islamic education

Abstract

Environmental sustainability is a critical issue that must be instilled from an early age through education, including in Qur’an-Hadith instruction. However, learning in many madrasahs still relies on conventional, cognitively oriented approaches. This condition forms the main problem of the present study, as students’ understanding of Qur’anic and Hadith texts related to the environment remains decontextualized, disconnected from real-life situations, and fails to shape ecological attitudes and behaviors. This study aims to explore the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in enhancing students’ comprehension and concern for Islamic values regarding environmental preservation. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research was conducted at MA YSPIS Rembang. The findings indicate that PjBL fosters active student engagement through real-life project such as creating a school garden, conducting digital awareness campaigns, and designing educational pamphlets. These activites enabled students to meaningfully connect Qur’anic and Hadith teaching with real-world environmental issues, fostering a sense of ecologial responsibility. The study concludes that PjBL is effective in internalizing Islamic environmental ethics and increasing students’ awareness and commitment to practicing these values in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of boss phubbing on teachers’ self-efficacy and teacher wellbeing in coastal-area schools within the context of digital-era educational management. Data were collected through a cross-sectional survey of teachers in coastal schools with a total sample of 206 respondents. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Jamovi 2.6.23 software. The findings indicate that boss phubbing does not directly affect teacher wellbeing but has a negative impact on teachers’ self-efficacy, which in turn plays a significant role in enhancing teacher wellbeing. These results highlight the importance of teachers’ self-efficacy as a mediator in reducing the negative effects of supervisors' digital behavior on teacher wellbeing in the digital era. Practical implications suggest that school management should pay attention to leaders’ digital behavior and foster teachers’ self-efficacy to improve work quality and teacher wellbeing. The limitations of this study include its cross-sectional design and the sample being limited to coastal-area schools; therefore, future research is recommended to employ longitudinal designs and consider additional moderating variables such as social support and organizational culture.

Abstract

Improving educational quality requires comprehensive and integrated institutional management, and one effective way to enhance school quality is through supervision that supports teacher performance. This study examines the effectiveness of a mentorship-based supervision approach in strengthening the psychological bond between supervisors and teachers in Islamic high schools in North Maluku Province. Using a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design, data were collected through pretests and posttests from two groups: the School Supervisor Working Groups at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Offices in Tidore Islands City and Ternate City. Data analysis included normality and homogeneity tests, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the Mann-Whitney U Test, and the N-Gain test. The findings show that the experimental group achieved an average N-Gain score of 56.69% (fairly effective), while the control group achieved 44% (less effective). These results indicate that the mentorship-based supervision approach is moderately effective in strengthening the psychological bond between supervisors and teachers during the supervision process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the student essay assessment system in Islamic Religious Education, focusing on the use of conventional methods and web-based application support. A qualitative approach with a comparative study design was employed. Data were collected through interviews with Islamic Education teachers of Grade XI at SMKN Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta, which utilizes the Broexam Unlock examination application. Teachers play a crucial role in enhancing assessment competencies, including preparing test materials, developing scoring rubrics, and conducting manual evaluations. The results indicate that the conventional essay assessment method presents weaknesses, such as requiring considerable time and effort due to manual corrections. Conversely, the use of web-based applications such as Exambro offers greater efficiency in time and workload, as the system automatically generates results after the exam. These findings highlight that technology utilization through web-based applications can serve as a strategic innovation to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education assessment systems in the digital era.

Abstract

This study provides a comparative analysis of learning media for the Fiqh of funeral rites at the secondary level, a topic that often creates pedagogical anxiety due to its sensitive and abstract nature. This qualitative study focuses on two institutions: Nurul Muttaqin Junior High School in Indonesia and Chariyathamsuksa Foundation School in Thailand, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results reveal two fundamentally different pedagogical models. Nurul Muttaqin implements a systematic, technology-integrated model, using videos and mannequins to reduce anxiety and ensure technical accuracy. Conversely, Chariyathamsuksa employs a communal, embodied learning model with students as proxies to demystify death and transmit values. This study demonstrates that the choice of media is not merely a technical decision but a profound reflection of institutional philosophy and socio-cultural context. The implications of this study challenge monolithic views of Islamic education and offer global insights into pedagogical adaptations for teaching sensitive religious materials.

Abstract

This study seeks to explore the transformative Islamic educational values manifested in the Haul Ki Ageng Tarub tradition and its contribution to the formation of the Islamic character of the younger generation within the framework of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4. This study employed qualitative methods with an educational ethnography approach, conducted in Tarub Village, Grobogan, Central Java. Data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results confirm that the Haul Ki Ageng Tarub tradition serves as a transformative non-formal Islamic educational vehicle, where the learning process occurs naturally through experience, social interaction, and cross-generational role models. Religious values are reflected in tahlil (remembrance of God), dhikr (remembrance of God), communal prayers, and religious studies, which foster spiritual and social awareness. Social solidarity is fostered through the practice of mutual cooperation (gotong royaong), almsgiving, and active community participation. Meanwhile, the preservation of local culture is realized through shadow puppet performances, which are imbued with Islamic moral messages. The synergy between spirituality and local culture demonstrates the inclusive and moderate face of Islam in the Indonesian archipelago. Therefore, the Haul Ki Ageng Tarub tradition can be viewed as a social laboratory for Islamic character education, supporting the realization of quality, culturally rooted, and sustainable education, as mandated by SDGs 4, and serving as a crucial foundation for achieving the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
