Abstract

Higher education institutions has a significant contribution in improving the quality of human resources. Community service is one of the pillars of the Higher Education Tri Dharma, alongside education and teaching duties as well as research duties. This is stated in article 24, point 22 of Law No. 20 of 2003. This journal investigates the effectiveness of mutual cooperation activities, elderly gymnastics, and Yasin recitations in improving the implementation of the Higher Education Tri Dharma. Through participatory research, mutual cooperation activities have successfully created active engagement between higher education institutions and the community, improved community service, and provided opportunities for community service. Elderly gymnastics has been proven to have a positive impact on the physical health and well-being of the elderly, while Yasin recitations create a spiritual space that supports religious values in the higher education environment.

Abstract

The government has attempted various programs to improve the welfare of the elderly, but there are still many cases related to the elderly, so assistance is needed from various parties to jointly help the government develop more innovative efforts to improve the welfare of the elderly. This research aims to understand how the implementation of the PKH Plus social assistance program meets the needs of elderly beneficiaries and creates better behavioral changes, poverty alleviation, and increases the standard of living of the elderly. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection used in this research was based on observation and interview techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or data verification. The research results show that the implementation of the PKH Plus program by the East Java Provincial Social Service has contributed to the success of improving the welfare conditions of the elderly in the districts/cities receiving assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of systematic variation in language use based on social and linguistic factors seen from a pragmatic point of view. This type of research uses qualitative research methods. The data collection technique used in this study is a library research method that focuses on the study of various literature by analyzing the content in it. In addition, the data collection research used in this study was observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is a content analysis technique. The research sample in this article is the people from Medan. Based on the results of the research that language can affect systematic variation based on social and linguistic factors. Based on pragmatic linguistic factors, language use can influence systematic variation due to several factors, such as habitual factors, environmental factors, and interest factors in certain language styles. Abstract

Understanding digital literacy was also raised as an important aspect to close the knowledge gap in society regarding the psychological, social and human impacts of digital interactions. And this research contributes to our understanding of how interpersonal communication theory can develop and adapt in the face of continually changing social dynamics, especially in the digital era. In this research, the research method chosen is the library method. This means that the research is focused on reviewing and analyzing literature relevant to the research topic, namely a critical review of interpersonal communication theory and its implications for social relationships in the digital era. This research results in this critical review confirming that interpersonal communication theory remains relevant in the digital era, but must undergo adjustments to be able to face the reality of continuously developing social relationships. Discussion of the implications of this theory becomes the basis for designing new concepts and more effective communication strategies in a dynamic digital environment.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) was carried out because there are digitalization problems in this technological era. All office work, including teachers and students, use computers and cellphones for quite a long time, resulting in eye fatigue. The method used is counseling. The school garden data source is then distilled to obtain hydrosol water in the form of eye drops and face mist. To make eye drops, you can combine distilled betel leaves, kecombrang flowers and jasmine flowers. Meanwhile, to make face mist, you can combine distilled betel leaves, kecombrang flowers, ylang-ylang flowers and bidara leaves.

Abstract

"Social education stands as a crucial element in shaping the character of individuals who exhibit responsibility and concern for society. This article delves into the role and potential of the Quran in the realm of social education. Serving as a fount of Islamic religious teachings, the Quran encapsulates profound social and ethical values. This research endeavors to pinpoint the social values embedded in the Quran and explores methods to seamlessly integrate Quranic teachings into the fabric of social education. The findings underscore that the Quran can serve as a robust compass in cultivating social awareness, empathy, compassion, and positive ethics among the younger generation. By comprehending and applying the Quranic teachings within a social context, social education emerges as a potent conduit for molding character grounded in universal values. The practical implication The essence of this research can be found in the formulation of a social education learning model centered around the Quran, a tool that educational institutions can leverage to enhance the efficacy of character education. In conclusion, the Quran emerges as a precious fount of inspiration in social education, contributing to the development of a younger generation that embodies responsibility and ethical citizenship in society.

Abstract

Humans are considered to be the most perfect creatures created by God because they are given the gift of knowledge and reason. This view is reflected in Qur'anic verses, such as Surah Al-Alaq (1-5), Surah Taha (20:114), and Surah Al-Mujadalah (58:11), which emphasize the importance of reading, studying, and social cooperation. Knowledge is considered a gift from God that distinguishes humans from the rest of His creation. The Qur'an encourages people to read and pursue knowledge, conveys social ethics, and promises rewards for believers and the knowledgeable.Philosophy of science views science from various perspectives, including empiricism, rationalism, skepticism, positivism, constructivism, pragmatism, realism, idealism, naturalism, and hermeneutics. Each of these views provides a unique perspective on the sources, means and nature of knowledge. Science is categorized into natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, applied sciences, formal sciences, empirical sciences, normative sciences, and fundamental vs. applied sciences. In its historical development, science developed through the Ancient Greeks, the Middle Ages, the Modern Ages, and the Contemporary Ages. Science is colored by approaches such as empiricism, rationalism, and pragmatism. Knowledge and science are considered philosophically, with the difference between knowledge and science. Knowledge is identified with facts or information, while science demands systematization and methodology. In everyday language, the two are often equated. Understanding science plays an important role in dealing with technological advances and the challenges of the times. Philosophy of science provides a conceptual framework for understanding various approaches to acquiring knowledge, from empirical experience to normative considerations. Awareness of the importance of science and knowledge is understood as an effort to get closer to God's wisdom and enrich human life experience.

Abstract

The problem in general is that along with the presence of many educational institutions, both private and state, whether accompanied by the readiness of reliable and qualified teaching staff in accordance with their fields, or it can be said, whether the existing teaching staff (teachers) are in accordance with their competence. This is the question which is a big problem related to the development of the world of education in Indonesia. For example, those at the kindergarten level or also at the level of bringing Play groups. Some factors that cause poor teacher quality include unskilled teachers in teaching, lack of communication with students, teachers do not understand children's characters, teaching methods that are less interesting, then the number of children who are allowed to play, teachers who are impatient in teaching and reduced hours of reading and arithmetic. One form of communication that must be considered carefully for a kindergarten teacher is interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Debt is a transaction in which two people voluntarily give money to another person and then return it to them in the same way. This study aims to determine how Ibnu Katsir views the concept of accounts payable and receivable from an Islamic economic perspective. Although we know that debts and receivables are permitted, Islam advises its followers to avoid debts as much as possible, regardless of whether they can afford to buy something with cash or not when they are in limited economic conditions. Because debt is always a heavy burden and threatens morality. Rasulullah saw. once refused to pray for the body of someone who owed a lot of debt to his family and did not have the means to pay it. As explained in the Koran, recording or writing is the first step in debt and receivable transactions. This research uses library research methods with an interpretive science approach using the tahlili method. The results of this research show that people who owe money are obliged to tell the clerk about the debt they admit because they are worried that there will be fraud against those who owe it. If it is a buying and selling transaction, it is permissible not to record or write down the transaction. Furthermore, there is a need for fair witnesses. In terms of testimony, Ibnu Katsir stated that being a witness is fardlu kifayah or not mandatory for the person concerned unless there is another person who can replace his position

Abstract

Community Health Centers are a means for the government to provide information about matters and developments regarding Covid-19 as well as health protocols for preventing it. Judging from persuasive communication or communication carried out by inviting or persuading communicants, how does the Community Health Center actually persuade or invite the public to comply with health protocols in accordance with government directives? The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. A qualitative approach is an approach that is able to provide clear and structured ideas or images. This research resulted that the Pantai Cermin Community Health Center, Tanjung Pura District, the application of persuasive communication in socializing the Covid-19 Pandemic Health Protocol by increasing public awareness and health in Pantai Cermin Village became a determinant for increasing public awareness about the importance of maintaining health and immunity for children and the elderly. and the elderly so they can avoid the dangers of the Covid-19 virus.
