Abstract

Stunting is caused by various factors, such as nutritional intake during pregnancy or infancy, lack of maternal knowledge about nutrition before or during pregnancy, and postpartum conditions that impact intelligence, susceptibility to diseases, and overall health. The provision of Supplementary Feeding (PMT) involves offering safe and high-quality snacks for toddlers, prioritizing food quality and safety. An innovative approach to addressing this issue involves utilizing local wisdom by processing catfish into cookies. This initiative was carried out at Posyandu Flamboyan, Jaharun B Village, Galang, Deli Serdang, involving 50 toddlers and their mothers attending the posyandu activities. The results showed that all toddlers experienced weight gain and enjoyed the cookies provided. Considering stunting is a serious issue, this program should be continued by encouraging local stakeholders to promote fish farming in the community and explore other catfish-based food innovations.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in supporting rural economic growth, including in Sumber Mulyo Village, Tanggamus Regency. However, product marketing challenges remain one of the primary obstacles faced by MSME actors. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of MSMEs through training and mentoring on digital marketing strategies. The program includes education on utilizing social media, online marketplaces, and creating engaging content to attract consumer interest. The methods used in this program involve theoretical training, practical simulations, and direct mentoring in designing and executing digital marketing campaigns. The expected outcomes are improved understanding among MSME actors regarding digital marketing strategies, enhanced skills in creating attractive marketing content, and increased capability to leverage digital platforms for broader market reach. With this capacity enhancement, MSMEs in Sumber Mulyo Village are expected to become more competitive in marketing their products online, thereby supporting sustainable and technology-based rural economic growth.

Abstract

Library management training is very important, especially in villages that can be said to be partially undeveloped. This village library aims to make the community, especially children, young people and adults, aware of the importance of literacy, as well as to educate the community. Not only limited to information and sources of knowledge for the community, this village library will also become an Islamic-based information center, where the community will learn a lot about Islamic teachings in this library. The problem that often arises in this case is that there are still people who cannot read and write, so it becomes difficult for the village to run this program then access to the library in the village is small and cannot accommodate many people. The method in this activity is training by conducting surveys, education and approaches to the community, the results obtained by the community are very enthusiastic about the activities carried out

Abstract

Public speaking is not just about talking, it's a soft skill that anyone can learn. Public speaking, whether in the workplace, recreation, social, educational or organizational context, requires special skills. Problems that many people experience when speaking in front of an audience include lack of confidence, nervousness, memory loss, stuttering, not understanding the content of the speech, and not being able to improvise well, which can eventually become monotonous. cannot control the audience, and so on. The beginning of becoming an MC is with the intention and willingness to always try to speak in front of the public. The implementation method in this training activity is training, education, simulation and demonstration until evaluation. The result obtained, many mothers are interested and interested in becoming MC in every activity, and continue to try in training and when there is a simulation or demonstration..

Abstract

This study aims to design the formulation and implementation of business strategies in DapuRatu MSMEs located in Subang, with a focus on developing sustainable and competitive culinary businesses. In facing increasingly competitive market challenges, DapuRatu needs the right strategy to improve product quality, service, and competitiveness. This study uses a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis approach to identify internal and external factors that affect business performance and formulate appropriate strategies to optimize business potential. The results of the study indicate that DapuRatu's strengths lie in its strategic location, affordable prices, and good service quality. However, the company also faces challenges such as the number of competitors and lack of product innovation. By taking advantage of existing opportunities, such as increasing the tourism sector in Subang, DapuRatu can develop new, innovative menus and increase market reach through online platforms. In addition, effective marketing strategies and good financial management are needed to ensure sustainable growth.

Abstract

Health education is an effective method in increasing public understanding and awareness regarding Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). This outreach aims to evaluate the effectiveness of PHBS outreach activities in increasing community knowledge and attitudes regarding healthy lifestyles. The research method used was quantitative with a pre-test and post-test design on 69  respondents selected by purposive sampling. Extension is carried out through lecture methods, interactive discussions, and PHBS practice simulations. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the level of knowledge (p < 0.05) and positive changes in attitudes towards implementing PHBS, especially in hand washing habits, clean water consumption and waste management. These results indicate that counseling is an effective strategy in building awareness and changing healthy behavior. Therefore, PHBS counseling needs to be carried out regularly and continuously with the support of health workers and the local government

Abstract

To nurture a generation that excels academically and has noble character, programs that develop students' talents while strengthening religious values, creativity, and physical fitness are essential. The Religious, Art, and Sports Festival at Pesantren As'adiyah Pengkendekan, in collaboration with KKN-T Post VIII of As'adiyah Islamic University, serves as a platform to achieve these goals. The festival involves students from various educational levels, including Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah, and Aliyah, as well as participants from schools outside the pesantren in Sabbang and South Sabbang Districts. The event includes four key stages: (1) Observation. Identifying the need for student guidance due to low confidence and undeveloped talents; (2) Socialization. Informing schools that the festival is both a competition and a learning platform fostering creativity, sportsmanship, and religious values; (3) Preparation. Developing the festival concept through collaboration with schools, pesantren mentors, and sponsors; (4) Training. Providing guidance to both organizers and participants for effective event management and competition readiness. This festival has a significant positive impact, enhancing students' academic and non-academic growth, fostering character building, creativity, solidarity, and sportsmanship beyond just competition

Abstract

Effective waste sorting is an essential factor in creating a clean and healthy learning environment, especially in pondok pesantren with a large number of students. However, challenges still exist in implementing a waste sorting system due to a lack of awareness and inadequate facilities. This community service program aims to design and implement an effective waste sorting strategy at Pondok Pesantren As'adiyah Pengkendekan to improve environmental cleanliness and raise students' awareness of waste management. The activities began with an observation of the cleanliness conditions and the existing waste management system in the pesantren. Subsequently, interviews were conducted with pesantren administrators, students, and educators to identify obstacles and needs in implementing waste sorting. Based on the results of observations and interviews, socialization and education on the importance of waste sorting were carried out, along with the installation of segregated waste bins and training on the management of organic and inorganic waste. The results of this program showed an increase in awareness and participation among pesantren residents in maintaining cleanliness and implementing a more effective waste sorting system. With this program, it is expected that the pesantren can adopt a more efficient waste management system to create a healthier and more comfortable learning environment

Abstract

Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that remains a global health problem, including in Indonesia. One of the factors that influence TB transmission is the patient's behavior in preventing the spread of the disease. This study aims to describe the behavior of preventing TB transmission in patients at the Sindangkerta Health Center. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of TB patients in the Sindangkerta Health Center working area. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured the level of knowledge, attitudes, and actions of patients related to preventing TB transmission. Data analysis was performed descriptively. Results: The results showed that the majority of patients were male compared to female. The largest age group was early adulthood, followed by late adulthood and late old age. In terms of education, the majority of patients had a high school education level, followed by elementary and junior high school. Most patients had poor preventive behavior in implementing preventive measures such as using masks, covering their mouths when coughing, and not spitting carelessly. Conclusion: Tuberculosis prevention behavior in Sindangkerta Health Center, West Bandung Regency in 2025 was poor

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TBC) adalah suatu penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh kuman Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Kuman tersebut biasanya masuk kedalam tubuh manusia melalui udara pernapasan kedalam paru. Kemudian kuman tersebut dapat menyebar melalui udara pernapasan ke dalam paru, kemudian kuman tersebut dapat menyebar dari paru ke bagian tubuh lainya melalui sistem peredaran darah, sistem saluran limfa, melalui saluran pernapasan atau penyebaran langsung kebagian tubuh lainnya. Tuberkulosis masih merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang menjadi tantangan global. Secara global kasus baru tuberkulosis sebesar 6,4 juta. Setara dengan 64 % dari insiden tuberkulosis (10 juta). Tuberkulosis tetap menjadi 10 penyebab kematian tertinggi di dunia dan kematian tuberkulosis secara global diperkirakan 1,3 juta pasien. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk upaya pencegahan dengan melakukan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat masih sangat jarang dilakukan, sementara lingkungan kehidupan para masyarakat berada dalam kelompok masyarakat dengan kepadatan hunian yang tinggi. Pencegahan penyakit dan promosi kesehatan tentang Tuberkulosis merupakan upaya esensial disaat masih tingginya kejadian penyakit menular juga di iringi dengan semakin tinggi masalah penyakit tidak menular. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merujuk pada bagian tujuan diatas, Secara umum sasaran yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan ini banyak melibatkan banyak pihak demi mencapai tujuan diatas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini akan fokus pada pemberian edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah penyakit tuberkulosis, cara penularannya serta cara pengambilan spesimen sputum dengan baik dan benar. Kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan adalah Edukasi Penyakit TBC serta Sosialisasi mengenai pengumpulan sampel sputum yang dilakukan di daerah binaan di Desa Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dihadiri sekitar 35 orang dalam waktu kurang lebih 2 jam dimana pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan diskusi tanya jawab.
