Abstract

Widespread moral degradation today has sparked serious concerns, particularly as educational institutions meant to shape character often produce individuals involved in crimes ranging from theft to large-scale corruption, even among the highly educated. This phenomenon raises key questions about the failure of educational institutions to cultivate moral intellectuals and challenges the very definition of akhlak (morality/ethics) when criminal cases involve high-achieving teenagers. Therefore, this background to the problem highlights an urgent need for a clear and comprehensive standard in understanding akhlak, from its components to its ultimate goals. This research positions itself to deeply examine the integration between aqidah (creed/faith) and akhlak. This question is addressed using a descriptive analytical approach to the thought of Al-Ghazali. The primary findings indicate that Al-Ghazali explicitly integrated aqidah and akhlak, especially within his concept of akhlak. This is evident from every element and underlying principle of his akhlak concept, which consistently rooted in an awareness of aqidah.

Abstract

This study aims to examine innovations in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning through the reinforcement of P5PPRA at MIMA 01 KH. Shiddiq Jember. In this context, P5PPRA functions not only as a platform for character building based on Pancasilavalues but also as a means of instilling moderate Islamic values such as tasamuh (tolerance), global-mindedness, tatawwur wa ibtikar (dynamism and innovation), ta’adub (civility), and qudwah (exemplary conduct). The learning process is carriedout through the integration of project-based activities that emphasize collaboration, social awareness, and the habituation of noble character in students' real-life experiences. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case studydesign. The results show that PAI learning innovation through the reinforcement of P5PPRA at MIMA KH. Shiddiq is implemented systematically through three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage is integrated into PAIsubjects using structured teaching modules that include learning objectives, activity flow, and assessments based on the values of Pancasila and Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin. The implementation involves various methods, including discussions and hands-on practice, emphasizing cooperation, responsibility, and exemplary behavior. Evaluation is holistic, assessing knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Teachers play an active role in character development and provide guidance for students who have not yet achieved the minimum learning mastery

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the pesantren education model in the perspective of traditional and modern Islamic literature through a library research approach. Traditional pesantren are known for their yellow book-based educationpatterns, the close relationship between santri and kyai, and the cultivation of moral and spiritual values through sorogan, bandongan, and halaqah methods. On the other hand, modern pesantren are present as a response to the times by applying anintegrative curriculum between religious and general sciences, active learning approaches, and professional institutional management. The results of the study show that although there are significant differences in methods, curriculum, andinstitutional systems, both models have similarities in educational goals: forming Muslim individuals who are knowledgeable, moral, and independent. This article recommends the development of an integrative education model that combinestraditional and modern strengths as an effort to advance contextual and globally competitive pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to answer the main question of how the Child-Friendly School policy is implemented at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Huda, located in a rural area with strong Islamic traditions. The research positions the madrasah as an institution adaptingnational child protection policies within a religious local context. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Findings indicate that the policy has been socialized throughteacher training, the establishment of a dedicated task force, and the formulation of anti-violence rules. However, implementation faces challenges including varying perceptions among senior teachers regarding non-punitive discipline, limited supporting facilities, and inconsistent parental involvement. The study shows that the success of the policy is determined by the internalization of Islamic values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin, rather than formal regulations alone. This research contributes tounderstanding the dynamics of child protection policy implementation in Islamic educational settings

Abstract

This research aims to examine forms of conflict and conflict resolution strategies implemented in formal Islamic education institutions. Through a qualitative approach and a case study type, data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The research results showed that the conflicts that occurred were divided into three main categories: structural, interpersonal and inter-student conflicts. To prevent and resolve conflicts, madrasas implement preventive strategiessuch as policy outreach, communication training, job rotation, and active involvement of OSIM. Meanwhile, resolution strategies are carried out through mediation by the head of the madrasah, counseling by guidance and counseling teachers, as well as arestorative approach that emphasizes awareness and reconciliation. This approach is strengthened by the application of Islamic values such as islah, shura, and tabayyun. Evaluations show a reduction in conflict incidents, increased student satisfaction, andthe creation of a harmonious work atmosphere. This research concludes that conflict management that is integrated structurally, humanistically and spiritually is able to create a healthy, resilient and collaborative madrasah culture.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a major force in reshaping governance and public service systems. Public policy innovation plays a crucial role in improving bureaucratic efficiency, enhancing transparency, and promoting the creation of an inclusive economy that is responsive to the needs of society. This study aims to analyze the role of policy innovation in fostering inclusive economic growth in the digital era, with an emphasis on the implementation of digital bureaucracy systems such as e-budgeting, e-planning, and e-procurement. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review of academic sources, policy reports, and government institutional data. The findings indicate that the use of technology and data in policy formulation has accelerated the transformation of public services, expanded citizen participation, and improved the accuracy of social interventions targeting marginalized groups. Moreover, data-driven policy approaches and open government practices have been shown to strengthen public trust and policy accountability. Nevertheless, challenges such as the digital divide, limited digital literacy, and unequal access to infrastructure still need to be addressed in the implementation of inclusive policies. This study recommends strengthening cross-sector collaboration and enhancing local capacity as key strategies to achieve fair and sustainable economic growth in the digital transformation era

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a key indicator in measuring the quality of human resources, with education as one of its main pillars. Public policy in the education sector aims to improve quality, access, and equity, yet its success largely depends on effective implementation at the ground level. In this context, educational supervision plays a strategic role as a bridge between national policies and practices at the school level. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to examine the contribution of supervision to the effectiveness of education policy implementation oriented toward improving HDI. The findings indicate that supervision functions not only as a control mechanism but also as a means of continuous assistance and evaluation. Through supervision, implementation barriers can be identified and addressed contextually. Additionally, supervision enhances the professional capacity of teachers and school principals, strengthens school management, and builds educators’ confidence in adopting new policies.Collaborative and sustained supervision proves effective in improving the quality of learning and educational outcomes. However, the implementation of supervision still faces challenges, such as a limited number of supervisors, insufficient training, and inadequate budget support. Therefore, strengthening the supervision system is crucial to support the success of education policy and the sustainable improvement of HDI.
