Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to improve the understanding of teachers, ustadz, and ustadzah regarding the concept, working principles, and potential use of Augmented Reality as an interesting, interactive, and character-appropriate learning medium for students in Islamic boarding schools. The main problem faced by partners is the low basic understanding of Augmented Reality among educators and the absence of specific activities that systematically introduce Augmented Reality in the learning context. As a solution, the Community Service team developed an introductory program that explains the basic concepts of Augmented Reality, examples of its application in education, and opportunities for its adaptation to religious and general materials at PPTQ Azzakiyyah. The activity, which was carried out on December 17, 2025, was considered successful; participants stated that their understanding and insight into Augmented Reality increased, the material was clear and relevant, and the level of satisfaction was in the very good category. The results of the questionnaire showed that all aspects of the assessment were in the good category, so that this Community Service was effective in increasing the empowerment of partners in literacy and initial readiness to utilize Augmented Reality as a learning support. This program also opens up insights that AR can be integrated selectively without abandoning Islamic values and becomes an important foundation for further training, development of Augmented Reality-based learning media, and strengthening ongoing cooperation between universities and Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement digital marketing based on marketplace and social media to improve the performance of BGS Textile MSMEs. The main problem faced by the partner is the lack of optimal utilization of digital technology in marketing activities, particularly in managing marketplace platforms and social media. The method used in this study is a participatory training and mentoring approach, which includes initial observation, digital marketing training, platform usage practice, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The results show that MSME actors are able to create and manage an online store on the Shopee platform, organize digital product catalogs, and utilize available promotional features. In addition, there is an improvement in the ability to design promotional content and use social media as a branding tool. However, the improvement in business performance, particularly in terms of sales, has not been significant at the initial stage of implementation. Overall, this activity successfully establishes a foundation for information system-based digital marketing that can be further developed to enhance MSME competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

The development of social media platforms has produced a variety of digital content reflecting the language use of bilingual children, particularly the phenomenon of code-mixing between Indonesian and English in everyday interactions. This study analyzes the types and factors causing code-mixing in bilingual children's speech in videos from the Vanilla Lovely account using a descriptive qualitative sociolinguistic approach. Data in the form of children's dialogues were collected through observation and recording techniques, then analyzed to identify the types of code-mixing—the insertion of English words or phrases into Indonesian—and the factors that support it. The results indicate that code-mixing is triggered by the bilingual environment, exposure to digital media in a foreign language, and communication patterns within the family. This phenomenon functions as an informal communication strategy to facilitate the transmission of meaning. These findings highlight the role of digital content as a reflection of bilingual children's language practices in a multilingual society

Abstract

Knee osteoarthritis is one of the degenerative diseases commonly experienced by the elderly and can cause symptoms such as pain, joint stiffness, and limitations in functional activities. Limited knowledge among the elderly regarding the causes, symptoms, and management of knee osteoarthritis may worsen the their condition and reduce their quality of life. Therefore, this Community Service Program was conducted in Gondang Sari Village, Kiringan, Boyolali, with the aim of increasing the elderly’s knowledge about knee osteoarthritis and independent pain management. The activity involved 25 elderly participants and was carried out through health education and demonstrations of simple physiotherapy exercises, including quadriceps setting, hamstring setting, hamstring stretch, leg extension, calf stretch, and calf raise. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure the improvement in participants’ knowledge. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding after the educational intervention. In the pre-test, 100% of participants did not understand knee osteoarthritis, while in the post-test 76% understood the material and 24% had moderate understanding. These findings indicate that health education and physiotherapy exercises effectively improve the elderly’s knowledge and support independent pain management, thereby helping to improve their quality of life.

Abstract

Operating system introduction activities are important efforts to improve students' understanding of information technology, especially in the use of personal computers and smartphones. This study aims to examine the role of operating systems in running application programs and increase students' insight at MTs Islamiyah Wongsorejo. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with literature study techniques and observations during the seminar. The results of the activity indicate that the operating system has a fundamental role that acts as a connecting medium between hardware and software systems, as well as managing system resources that enable applications to run optimally. In addition, there are differences in the implementation of operating systems on personal computers and smartphones, but both still have the same basic principles. The implementation of the seminar also showed an increase in participant participation and understanding, which was marked by active participation in discussions and the ability to re-explain the material presented. Thus, this activity makes a positive contribution to improving digital literacy and students' understanding of the importance of operating systems in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel as supporting tools to enhance learning efficiency among students at MTS Islamiyah Wongsorejo. The program was conducted through seminars and hands-on practice focusing on mastering both basic and advanced features of the applications. The research employed a developmental approach consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ digital skills, particularly in preparing academic documents using Word and managing data charts through Excel. Furthemore, the activities encouraged active participation, increased learning motivation, and aligned with the demands of the independent curriculum, which emphasizes digital literacy and creativity. Therefore, the integration of Word and Excel proved effective in supporting students’ learning efficiency while preparing them to face academic challenges and professional demands in the digital era.

Abstract

The pharmaceutical industry is a critical sector in every developed and developing country. The pharmaceutical industry is a key asset for the global economy, so pharmaceutical companies need business management planning for company survival. This business management planning includes marketing management planning, financial management, human resource management and operational management. Business management planning requires the ability and competence of human resources or pharmaceutical company employees, so training is needed to improve the ability of pharmaceutical company employees to prepare business management plans so that they are effective and efficient based on a success metric system. This business management planning training was given to managers and supervisors of pharmaceutical companies in the city of Semarang and Semarang Regency, a total of 45 participants from 22 pharmaceutical companies. The training activity stage consists of three activities, including presentation of business management material, practical business management planning exercises and training evaluation. Apart from that, before the training, a pretest and posttest were carried out after the training. The results of the business management planning training activities showed that participants' understanding of business management increased by 40% after the training was implemented.  Apart from that, training participants are able to prepare marketing management plans, financial management, human resource management and operational management that are more effective and efficient.

Abstract

  Herniated Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) is a condition that affects the spine and often causes pain in the lower back, especially in elderly individuals engaged in heavy physical work. Many elderly workers in a tofu factory in Tegalwedan Village, Tegalgondo, Wonosari, Klaten, complain of lower back pain. Unergonomic working positions and a lack of knowledge about HNP prevention are among the causes of back pain. This community service program aims to increase public awareness of HNP by providing education on the definition, symptoms, risk factors, and ways to prevent pain through the application of ergonomic techniques and McKenzie Exercises. The methods used included delivering information through presentations, exercise demonstrations, and distributing leaflets to 30 participants. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests. The pre-test results indicated that participants' knowledge was still low, with many unfamiliar with HNP, risk factors, signs and symptoms, ways to reduce pain, or ergonomic work positions. After conducting community education, the results showed an increase in participant knowledge, where the average pre-test score of 16.1% increased to 73.9% in the post-test, resulting in an increase of 57.8%. Ergonomic education and McKenzie Exercise training were effective in improving the knowledge and skills of the elderly in preventing HNP pain. It is hoped that this program can be implemented sustainably by health cadres and the community to support better behavior changes in maintaining musculoskeletal health.

Abstract

The rapid development of the creative industry has driven the demand for workers with graphic design skills, particularly in product packaging label creation. SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo, as a vocational education institution, is required to equip students with relevant and applicable competencies that meet industry needs. However, graphic design skills among students remain limited, both in terms of theoretical understanding and practical ability to operate design software. Therefore, this community service activity in the form of training on product packaging label creation using CorelDRAW application was conducted as an effort to enhance students' competencies in this field. The method employed was participatory training based on direct practice, conducted at the Computer Laboratory of SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo over one day with an effective duration of 3 hours. The training consisted of four stages: preparation, material presentation, independent practice, and evaluation. The material delivered included an introduction to the CorelDRAW interface, basic concepts of packaging label design, color and typography selection, as well as file export techniques for printing purposes. The assessment results of participants' design works showed an overall average score of 81.05, categorized as good, with the typography readability aspect achieving the highest score of 83.10. The participants' satisfaction level with the training implementation reached an average of 4.32 out of a 5-point scale, with the statement regarding the benefits of training achieving the highest score of 4.60. This training proved to be effective in improving students' graphic design skills and equipping them with competencies ready to be applied to support MSME development and work readiness in the creative industry sector.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in boosting the local economy. However, many MSME owners still face challenges in financial management, particularly in recording transactions and monitoring business revenue. Happynest Dessert is a home-based culinary business that still records transactions manually, resulting in suboptimal financial management. This community service activity aims to assist with the digitization of financial record-keeping through the use of the Qasir app. Implementation methods includeobservation, interviews, outreach, guidance on app usage, and evaluation. The results of the activity show that the Qasir app helps business owners record daily transactions in a more structured manner, monitor revenue automatically, and facilitate the evaluation of business progress. Thus, the use of the Qasir app can better support the effectiveness of financial management in MSMEs.
