Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to improve the understanding of teachers, ustadz, and ustadzah regarding the concept, working principles, and potential use of Augmented Reality as an interesting, interactive, and character-appropriate learning medium for students in Islamic boarding schools. The main problem faced by partners is the low basic understanding of Augmented Reality among educators and the absence of specific activities that systematically introduce Augmented Reality in the learning context. As a solution, the Community Service team developed an introductory program that explains the basic concepts of Augmented Reality, examples of its application in education, and opportunities for its adaptation to religious and general materials at PPTQ Azzakiyyah. The activity, which was carried out on December 17, 2025, was considered successful; participants stated that their understanding and insight into Augmented Reality increased, the material was clear and relevant, and the level of satisfaction was in the very good category. The results of the questionnaire showed that all aspects of the assessment were in the good category, so that this Community Service was effective in increasing the empowerment of partners in literacy and initial readiness to utilize Augmented Reality as a learning support. This program also opens up insights that AR can be integrated selectively without abandoning Islamic values and becomes an important foundation for further training, development of Augmented Reality-based learning media, and strengthening ongoing cooperation between universities and Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement digital marketing based on marketplace and social media to improve the performance of BGS Textile MSMEs. The main problem faced by the partner is the lack of optimal utilization of digital technology in marketing activities, particularly in managing marketplace platforms and social media. The method used in this study is a participatory training and mentoring approach, which includes initial observation, digital marketing training, platform usage practice, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The results show that MSME actors are able to create and manage an online store on the Shopee platform, organize digital product catalogs, and utilize available promotional features. In addition, there is an improvement in the ability to design promotional content and use social media as a branding tool. However, the improvement in business performance, particularly in terms of sales, has not been significant at the initial stage of implementation. Overall, this activity successfully establishes a foundation for information system-based digital marketing that can be further developed to enhance MSME competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

The development of social media platforms has produced a variety of digital content reflecting the language use of bilingual children, particularly the phenomenon of code-mixing between Indonesian and English in everyday interactions. This study analyzes the types and factors causing code-mixing in bilingual children's speech in videos from the Vanilla Lovely account using a descriptive qualitative sociolinguistic approach. Data in the form of children's dialogues were collected through observation and recording techniques, then analyzed to identify the types of code-mixing—the insertion of English words or phrases into Indonesian—and the factors that support it. The results indicate that code-mixing is triggered by the bilingual environment, exposure to digital media in a foreign language, and communication patterns within the family. This phenomenon functions as an informal communication strategy to facilitate the transmission of meaning. These findings highlight the role of digital content as a reflection of bilingual children's language practices in a multilingual society

Abstract

Knee osteoarthritis is one of the degenerative diseases commonly experienced by the elderly and can cause symptoms such as pain, joint stiffness, and limitations in functional activities. Limited knowledge among the elderly regarding the causes, symptoms, and management of knee osteoarthritis may worsen the their condition and reduce their quality of life. Therefore, this Community Service Program was conducted in Gondang Sari Village, Kiringan, Boyolali, with the aim of increasing the elderly’s knowledge about knee osteoarthritis and independent pain management. The activity involved 25 elderly participants and was carried out through health education and demonstrations of simple physiotherapy exercises, including quadriceps setting, hamstring setting, hamstring stretch, leg extension, calf stretch, and calf raise. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure the improvement in participants’ knowledge. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding after the educational intervention. In the pre-test, 100% of participants did not understand knee osteoarthritis, while in the post-test 76% understood the material and 24% had moderate understanding. These findings indicate that health education and physiotherapy exercises effectively improve the elderly’s knowledge and support independent pain management, thereby helping to improve their quality of life.
