Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of career development on organizational commitment which is mediated by the work motivation of teaching and education staff in Islamic educational institutions. The problem of low organizational commitment in this context is thought to be related to less than optimal career development programs that do not fully consider motivational aspects. Using a quantitative approach, data was obtained from 100 respondents who met the inclusion criteria, then analyzed using the path analysis method with the help of the SmartPLS application. The research results show that career development has a significant direct influence on organizational commitment. In addition, work motivation was found to act as a mediator that strengthens the relationship between career development and organizational commitment. This finding is in line with Herzberg's motivation theory which emphasizes the importance of motivator factors in supporting individual and organizational performance. In the context of Islamic educational institutions, work motivation influenced by Islamic values is an important element in building strong organizational commitment. This research contributes to the development of literature by integrating these variables in a unique context, namely Islamic educational institutions. The practical implication of this research is the need for managers of Islamic educational institutions to design holistic and motivation-based career development programs to increase the organizational commitment of teaching and educational staff.

Abstract

Abstract:Curriculum transformation that harmonizes the development of hard and soft skills is a strategic step in preparing individuals to face the demands of the global workforce. Hard skills, such as technical and analytical abilities, are needed to master specific jobs, while soft skills, such as communication, teamwork and adaptability, are key to success in a dynamic and collaborative work environment. This research aims to explore the principles, challenges and strategies of curriculum transformation that can integrate both types of skills in a balanced way. Through literature analysis and case studies, it was found that collaboration between educational institutions, industry and society is essential in creating a relevant and applicable curriculum. This transformational curriculum produces graduates who are not only technically competent, but also have strong interpersonal skills, making them ready to compete in the global job market. The results of this study contribute to the development of an inclusive and sustainable education model.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping the character and morals of the younger generation, with pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) being one of the key institutions. However, efforts to improve the quality of learning in pesantren face various challenges, particularly in the implementation of ineffective educational supervision. Preliminary research findings indicate that the pesantren under study lacks a structured and systematic supervision system. This is due to supervision that is considered to not meet the expected standards, which consequently impacts the quality of education, leading to less optimal learning outcomes. This study aims to identify effective supervision techniques to enhance the quality of learning in Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative approach through a case study method, this research was conducted at Pesantren Al-Falah in Krui Pesisir Barat Lampung. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews and participant observation, which were then analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify key themes related to supervision techniques. The findings classify supervision techniques into two main categories: individual supervision and group supervision. The study emphasizes the importance of active participation from leaders and supervisors to support the optimal implementation of supervision techniques. Furthermore, integrating supervision techniques with Islamic educational values is necessary to build a culture of sustainable learning. Therefore, implementing a structured, integrated, and Islam-based supervision program can significantly improve educational quality, while also serving as a reference for the development of future supervision policies.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of public relations management in increasing public trust in madrasahs. Public trust is an important element that influences the success of educational institutions, including madrasahs. In this context, public relations serves as a communication bridge between madrasahs and the community, aiming to build a positive image and increase public participation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in several madrasahs in Indonesia. The results of this study are expected to show that public trust in madrasah is influenced by the ability of public relations to build effective communication, information transparency, and program implementation that actively involves the community. The main strategies used by public relations include involving parents in school activities, publicizing academic and non-academic achievements, and strengthening the madrasah image through social media. Factors supporting success include support from the madrasah leadership, synergy between teachers and staff, and innovation in delivering information. In contrast, the challenges faced include limited human resources and technology. In addition, this study highlights the importance of training for the public relations team at madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bahrul Ulum Watupanjang Village, Krucil Sub-district, Probolinggo District to improve their communication skills. With proper training, the PR team can be more effective in delivering positive messages to the public. This is in line with the theory of public relations as a liaison that emphasizes the role of public relations in establishing good relations between the organization and the public. This study concludes that the optimal role of public relations contributes significantly to increasing public trust, so it needs to be supported by policies that support strengthening the capacity of public relations in madrasah.
