Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of participatory methods and multidimensional approaches in Islamic religious education at MI Raudlatussalam Besuk, Probolinggo, and their impact on increasing attitudes of tolerance among students. The main objective of this study is to identify how this learning method can shape students' characters to be more tolerant and respectful and live side by side in diversity. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study at MI Raudlatussalam, involving interviews with the principal, religious teachers, parents of students, and student representatives, as well as direct observation of the learning process at school. The study results indicate that using participatory methods, which involve students actively in group discussions, joint projects, and extracurricular activities, has created an inclusive and harmonious learning environment. Students learn and apply religious values in daily interactions, including in interfaith relations. A multidimensional approach that combines various dimensions of learning, such as extracurricular activities and social interactions, has also proven effective in strengthening attitudes of tolerance. Parents and student representatives expressed that this approach positively impacted the development of students' characters, who were more open and empathetic towards differences. This study concludes that the participatory method and multidimensional approach applied at MI Raudlatussalam have succeeded in increasing the understanding and application of tolerance values and forming better student character in dealing with diversity.

Abstract

Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School has long been known as an Islamic educational institution that is strong in maintaining the tradition of classical Islamic knowledge. However, in this modern era, the challenges of globalization, digitalization, and the need for 21st-century competencies force Islamic boarding schools to adapt without losing their identity. This study examines how Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School develops its curriculum by integrating Islamic traditions with educational innovation. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school caretakers, teachers, and students and analysis of curriculum documents. The study results show that the Islamic boarding school has succeeded in combining tradition and innovation by applying digital technology in learning, strengthening general subjects, and preserving the study of yellow books. This collaboration creates an education system that maintains Islamic values and prepares students to face the challenges of the modern world. Further research can be conducted to explore the long-term impact of this integration on the academic and spiritual success of students after graduating from the Islamic boarding school as an effort to prepare alums as agents of change who are responsible for creating welfare in society.

Abstract

Foundation management is fundamental in successfully managing religious-based educational institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools and modern dormitories. This study compares the managerial systems of two academic institutions, namely the Islamic Boarding School of Syafi'iyah and the Integrated Insan the Dormitory, which have different approaches but the same goal: to form superior individuals in academic, spiritual, and moral aspects. The Islamic Boarding School of Syafi'iyah uses a traditional model based on classical Islamic values with centralized decision-making. At the same time, the Integrated Insan Dormitory adopts modern management based on participation with a more professional organizational structure. These differences include decision-making patterns, human resource management, and approaches to character education. This study aims to identify the advantages and challenges of both managerial approaches and offer solutions to overcome the polemics in the management of educational foundations. This study is expected to provide new insights for educational foundation managers in developing effective managerial systems to meet the needs of their respective institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the importance of organizational culture, analyze organizational culture and strategies to support and change culture. The method used is library research, collecting data by finding sources and reconstructing from various sources such as books, journals, and existing research. Organizational culture can have a major impact on organizational performance and success. Organizations with cultures that align with the goals and values of their members tend to create positive and productive environments. Conversely, cultural conflicts or mismatches between an organization's culture and its members' individual values can result in discomfort and lack of optimal performance. Therefore, the understanding and management of organizational culture is critical to the sustainability and success of an organization. Analyzing organizational culture is also a process that aims to understand how values, beliefs, and norms in the organization affect individual behavior and overall performance. This analysis is important to determine whether the organizational culture supports the company's strategic goals or needs to be changed. Changing and supporting organizational culture requires a strategic and sustainable approach, as organizational culture is embedded in long-standing behaviors, norms, and values.
