Abstract

In the modern era, education plays a vital role in preparing students to navigate an interconnected and technologically advanced world. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is crucial for fostering moral and spiritual development among Muslim students. However, the current curriculum often fails to address 21st-century competencies such as critical thinking, digital literacy, and global citizenship. This study examines the alignment of the PAI curriculum with future generational needs, the integration of technology in Islamic education, and the gaps between traditional content and modern educational demands. Using interviews, classroom observations, surveys, and focus group discussions, the research highlights both the strengths and limitations of the curriculum. This study proposes a comprehensive reform approach that balances traditional Islamic principles with modern pedagogical practices. Key recommendations include curriculum updates to incorporate 21st-century skills, professional development for educators, and investments in digital infrastructure. By adopting these measures, Islamic Religious Education can evolve to empower students as morally grounded, critical thinkers, and global citizens, ensuring its relevance in the 21st century

Abstract

Technological advances and rapid social changes affect the way da'wah is delivered in the midst of modern society. Every institution and individual plays an important role in spreading the teachings of Islam through an adaptive approach. This research aims to explore the da'wah communication strategies applied by Muslim institutions to the local community, especially in facing the challenges of modernization and globalization. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a field study type, allowing in-depth data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation which are then analyzed using Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show that the role of local leaders as effective mediators of da'wah is due to their social authority that is recognized and respected by the community. Second, the alignment of Islamic values with existing social norms helps reduce value conflicts and increase acceptance of da'wah. Third, the use of social media allows for a wider and interactive dissemination of da'wah, reaching a younger and more diverse audience. The findings are expected to contribute to da'wah literature by providing insights into how communication strategies can be adapted to local social and cultural contexts to increase the effectiveness of da'wah in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Instagram, specifically through the paid promotion method, in managing student admissions (PPDB) in Islamic-based schools in West Java. Along with the development of information technology, social media, including Instagram, has become an effective promotional tool for educational institutions to increase visibility and appeal. Islamic-based schools in West Java have started to utilize this platform to attract the attention of parents and prospective students. However, many schools need help using Instagram as a promotional medium due to budget limitations and a lack of in-depth understanding of managing advertising campaigns. This research aims to identify the benefits and challenges faced and evaluate the effectiveness of using paid promotion on Instagram to strengthen branding and increase student enrollment. This study is expected to provide insights for schools in optimizing their promotional strategies using social media to support the success of PPDB management in the future.

Abstract

This study highlights the positive impact of digital learning media on students' academic performance. The analysis shows that the frequency of media usage, the type of media used, and students' perceptions of media effectiveness all have a significant relationship with academic outcomes. The perception of media effectiveness has the strongest correlation (0.55) with a p-value of 0.001, indicating that well-designed media is crucial for supporting student comprehension. These findings confirm Mayer's (2001) multimedia learning theory, emphasizing the importance of verbal and visual elements in learning. Sweller's (1988) cognitive theory suggests that well-designed digital media can reduce cognitive load. The study also emphasizes the role of intrinsic motivation in learning, as described by Deci and Ryan (1985), showing that interactive digital media can enhance students' motivation.Furthermore, adapting technology to local conditions is critical in improving learning outcomes. Therefore, schools in Indonesia need to develop teacher training, adequate infrastructure, and relevant digital content to maximize the benefits of technology in education. This study proposes the implementation of digital media in SD Namira as a model that other schools can adopt to enhance students' academic achievements by integrating technology into the learning process.
