Abstract

This research aims to examine the application of the concept of mutual public relations in character education at Nurul Jadid Middle School, focusing on the synergy between school and family. Mutual Public Relations, which involves the cooperation of two or more parties in building mutually supportive relationships, is applied in this context to strengthen student character formation through active collaboration between the school, parents, and foster carers. This research found that open communication and parental involvement in various school activities can strengthen character values such as discipline, responsibility, and empathy. In addition, the role of foster carers as a liaison between family and school has also been proven to increase the effectiveness of character education by providing consistent support and feedback. The synergy between these three parties creates a more holistic environment for students' moral development, where character values are taught at school and applied in daily life at home and in the dormitory. It is hoped that these findings can provide new insights for developing a more integrative and sustainable character education model through mutual public relations in other schools.

This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations and document analysis, which were then analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the application of information technology in the public relations sector has increased efficiency, especially in terms of time and operational costs. The effectiveness of communication has also increased, as shown by increased stakeholder satisfaction and the achievement of public relations goals, such as the rapid and transparent dissemination of information. However, several technical obstacles and training needs are still challenges that need to be considered. This research confirms that information technology has a significant role in supporting the public relations function in educational institutions, as long as it is supported by adequate infrastructure and human resource capacity development

Abstract

This study research aims to uncover how the Osing people's indigenous knowledge can contribute to preserving water resources in Olehsari Village, Glagah Sub-district, Banyuwangi. Indigenous knowledge encompasses various cultural, ecological, and epistemological frameworks essential for understanding and addressing today's concerns, particularly sustainable development goals. It is increasingly acknowledged that advancing social justice, cultural identity, and sustainability requires integrating Indigenous knowledge into various fields.   It is widely accepted that incorporating Indigenous knowledge into a broad spectrum of fields is critical to fostering social justice, cultural identity, and sustainability. Efforts to commercialize community-owned resources, notably water resources, pose a significant danger to Kemiren Banyuwangi Village's Indigenous Knowledge, a critical pillar for natural resource preservation for decades.   The village government's commercialization initiatives through Bumdes will undoubtedly alter the community's Indigenous knowledge, which has been demonstrated to be a critical pillar for the long-term sustainability of water supplies and village residents' lifestyles. This study used descriptive qualitative methodologies, with data collected through documentation, in-depth interviews, and observation. According to the study's findings, indigenous knowledge in sustainable village development has increased dramatically to improve community well-being and environmental sustainability, which face considerable problems. When Indigenous knowledge is compromised, water resources, farming, and the community as a whole are threatened. Sustainable agricultural practices will fail due to a growth-based development paradigm that disregards Indigenous Knowledge, particularly in meeting the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Incorporating indigenous and local knowledge into farming systems is a critical strategy for achieving SDG2, which is intended to eradicate hunger and enhance sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Globalization has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including culture. Technological developments and the rapid flow of information create intense cultural interactions, but also threaten the preservation of local culture. The cultural identity of a nation faces the challenge of global homogenization, which has the potential to fade traditional heritage and local wisdom. Cultural resilience is defined as a society's ability to maintain local traditions, values and identity amidst foreign cultural pressures. The results of the discussion show that cultural resilience not only protects the world's cultural diversity, but also strengthens the identity of a nation. With an adaptive and inclusive approach, cultural heritage can be passed on to future generations without losing its essential meaning. This article underlines the importance of collaboration between government, society and the younger generation in maintaining cultural resilience amidst globalization

Abstract

Change management in education is a strategy designed to deal with various challenges arising from the development of the times, policy changes, and the needs of society. This study aims to explore the implementation of change management as an effort to improve the quality of education in formal institutions, by focusing on the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of change. The research approach used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. The focus of this research involves identifying key elements that affect the success of change management, such as transformational leadership, active participation of stakeholders, readiness of educators and learners, and strategies to manage resistance to change. The results show that the successful implementation of change is highly dependent on strategic planning, open and transparent communication, continuous training for educators, and cross-sector collaboration. Leaders who are able to inspire and empower the team are an important factor in driving change in a positive direction. In addition, resistance to change can be minimized by building collective awareness of the long-term benefits of each new policy implemented. Institutions that have an adaptive learning culture tend to be better prepared to face change and are able to create innovations that contribute to improving the quality of education. This research makes a significant academic contribution by presenting a conceptual and applicable framework for the implementation of change management in the context of education. Thus, these findings are expected to be a guide for educational institutions and stakeholders to design sustainable change strategies. This study emphasizes that with the right approach, change management not only improves the quality of learning, but also supports the achievement of national education goals in creating superior and competitive human resources.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Jibril Method in improving the quality of Qur'an reading at the Center for Qur'anic Science Education at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School. The research method is descriptive and qualitative, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. This study focuses on three main aspects, namely learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation based on the Jibril Method. The study results indicate that learning planning at the Center for Qur'anic Science Education aims to produce students who can read the Qur'an well and fluently and understand tajwid theoretically and practically. In its implementation, the Jibril Method is applied through the talking-taqlid technique with tahqiq and tartar, which is carried out in four stages of learning, starting from Al-Fatihah and Juz Amma to Juz 16-30. Learning evaluation is carried out through routine exams, level promotion exams, and final exams to obtain a certificate of Qur'an sanad. This study concludes that the Jibril Method significantly improves the quality of Qur'an reading with a structured and sustainable approach.
