Abstract

This study aims to explore the Islamic Education model developed by 3 high school education institutions in Indonesia, related to the facts of diversity. Because this study seeks to explore the meaning of the object of research, the qualitative approach was chosen through searching for interview data, observation and documentation studies. The results showed that the 3 educational institutions studied, using Grimmit's classification of religious education, showed more characteristics of religious education than learning about religion and learning from religion. The religious education developed is only focused on maintaining traditions that have been carried out for generations. In addition, using the Symour classification, religious education developed by 3 educational institutions shows more characteristics of religious education "in the wall", compared to "at the wall", and "beyond the wall". The religious education developed is only focused on the internal teachings of religion, without a curriculum to recognize the basic foundations of other religions. This condition can lead to "truth claims", and "prejudice" against other religions. This study also offers the idea that in order to foster harmony, it is time for Educational Institutions in Indonesia to develop “at the wall” and “beyond the wall” religious education curricula.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an Hadith are sources of law for Muslims. It is crucial to apply teaching and learning models that are easy for teachers and students to understand and form religious moderation. This study explains how the PRADAEC learning model determines the success of cognitive learning of Islam students while also accommodating religious moderation. Based on the results of this library study, there are seven stages (syntax) in the PRADAEC learning model: Preview, Read, Ask, Discuss, Answer, Explain, and Correction. Second, the seven stages of the PRADAEC learning model are then implemented in three learning components, namely: 1) Introduction, including Preview, 2) core activities, namely Read, Ask, Discuss, Answer and Explain and 3) Closing, namely Correction. Third, the stages (syntax) of the learning process include Preview, Read, Ask, Discuss, Answer, Explain, and Correction. The conditions show that the PRADAEC model improves the cognitive learning of Al-Qur'an Hadith while also accommodating students' religious moderation. The enhancement of local school values such as honesty, mutual respect, and courtesy among students needs to concern the values, assumptions, understandings, beliefs, and expectations that are upheld and used by the school, which determines the behaviors in dealing with internal and external parties.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Islamic counseling as a conflict resolution that is packaged strategically as a psychological therapy procedure that can be applied to resolve social conflicts in adolescent students in madrasah. A conflict is a form of interaction between humans who have mutual interests, which can take the form of conflicts, disputes, threats, or anything else to destroy the opponent. The method used in this research is qualitative. The results of the study show that the occurrence of social conflict among adolescent students in madrasahs stems from the emergence of several students who number less than one percent of the total number of students in madrasahs who are involved in social groups or gangs acting on behalf of “school gangs” with all of their activities such as freaking out or visiting other schools that are considered enemies, hanging out at food stalls, fighting with peers, and convoying on the streets. This was done because of the interests of the social group of young students to show the existence and identity of their group. Efforts to prevent and resolve these problems through Islamic guidance and counseling services as a conflict resolution that aims to assist teenage students in solving conflict problems in peaceful ways.
