Abstract

TikTok has developed from a short-form video platform into an influential digital advertising channel for Generation Z consumers. Its personalized, interactive, visually engaging, and commerce-integrated content enables advertisements to attract attention and stimulate purchase interest quickly. This study examines the effect of TikTok advertising exposure on the purchase intention of Generation Z students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dehasen University Bengkulu. The study employed a quantitative survey approach. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire containing nine statements for advertising exposure and nine statements for purchase intention. The respondents consisted of 85 students selected from a population of 550 students. Participants were required to belong to Generation Z, actively use TikTok, have encountered advertisements on the platform, and possess experience or interest in online purchasing. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, descriptive statistics, a normality test, simple linear regression, Pearson correlation, the coefficient of determination, and a t test. The findings demonstrate that TikTok advertising exposure has a positive and significant effect on Generation Z purchase intention. The calculated t value of 9.3804 exceeded the critical value of 1.989, with a significance level of 0.000. The correlation coefficient of 0.7174 indicates a strong relationship, while the coefficient of determination of 51.46 percent shows that advertising exposure explains more than half of the variation in purchase intention. These findings confirm that greater frequency, duration, and attention to TikTok advertisements increase students’ tendency to seek information, consider products, and intend to purchase the advertised products..

Abstract

PThe rapid development of digital technology has changed public information consumption patterns and encouraged print media organizations to adapt in order to remain relevant within an increasingly competitive media industry. This study aims to analyze the transformation of Harian Rakyat Bengkulu from print media to digital media and to identify forms of editorial adaptation during the disruption era. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis was based on five dimensions of media convergence: technology, multimedia content, ownership, collaboration, and coordination. The findings show that the transformation of Harian Rakyat Bengkulu has taken place through the use of a news website, electronic newspaper, and social media as information distribution channels. Technological convergence is the most dominant aspect because digital devices have accelerated news production and distribution while expanding audience reach. Ownership convergence also plays an important role through management policies, technological investment, and corporate strategies designed to respond to the decline of print readership. Collaboration is reflected in the establishment of a digital team and cooperation with other media organizations within the same network. However, multimedia content development remains limited because digital news still relies mainly on text and photographs, while video, audio, infographics, and interactive content have not been used optimally. Coordination between print and digital editorial teams also needs to be strengthened. The study concludes that the transformation has progressed, but its sustainability requires greater content innovation, improved human resource competence, and more integrated editorial management.. terintegrasi.

Abstract

Financial product inclusion is an important agenda for welfare equality, yet the relationship between access to financial products and the financial well-being of married individuals requires a more specific explanation. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial product inclusion on the financial well-being of married individuals in Indonesia using two indicators: economic status level as an objective measure and life satisfaction as a subjective measure. The data were drawn from the fifth wave of the Indonesia Family Life Survey in 2014, covering 2,225 observations of married individuals. The main variables include loan amount, pension fund, government health insurance, and cooperative participation, with controls for age, gender, residential area, education, home ownership, electricity access, ownership of a certificate of poverty, and individual consumption expenditure. The analysis employed ordered logit and probit models with marginal effects. The results show that loans, pension funds, and cooperatives significantly increase the probability of being in a better economic status, while government health insurance is not significant for this indicator. For life satisfaction, pension funds and government health insurance have significant effects, whereas loans and cooperatives are not significant. These findings indicate that financial products perform different welfare functions across objective economic and subjective satisfaction dimensions.
