Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop interactive learning modules that can help students in independent learning and are valid, practical, and effective. This research was carried out using the Research and Development (R&D) development research method with a 4D (four D) development model. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire used to measure validity and practicality. Meanwhile, to measure the effectiveness of using a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The results showed that the interactive learning module was declared valid with a validity value of 0.88 based on the validation of three media validators and in terms of material validity it was declared valid with a value of 0.89 from two teachers who taught object oriented programming (OOP). The interactive learning module is stated to be very practical based on the responses of teachers and students. This shows that the interactive learning module is declared to be effectively used as one of the teaching materials in learning in improving student learning outcomes. Keywords: interactive learning module, object oriented programming, research and development. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v22i2.pp235-244

Abstract

This study aims to determine student responses to the application of the situation based learning model with peer tutors. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, with data sources consisting of primary data sources and secondary data. The research subjects consisted of 29 students. The research instrument was in the form of observation sheets and student response questionnaires consisting of 4 indicators containing 20 statements. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the application of the situation based learning model with peer tutors was carried out very well and overall received a positive response from students. Students gave positive responses to indicators of interest in mathematics, interest in learning mathematics using a situation based learning model with peer tutors, and the benefits of participating in mathematics learning using a situation based learning model with peer tutors. A very positive response was given by students on the indicators of the benefits of mathematics lessons. Keywords: students’ response, situation based learning, peer tutor. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i3.pp1205-1213

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the video-assisted discovery learning model that is implemented with blended learning on the concept of straight motion in high school. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila using the experimental method and the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This design has a pretest before being given treatment and a posttest after being given treatment. From the N-gain test data, the average pretest value is 5.30 and the posttest average value is 76.30. The normalized N-gain value is 0.75 in the high category. Hypothesis testing on the data obtained tcount of 58.13 while the value of ttable at a significance level of 5% is 2.03452. Thus tcount > ttable So it can be concluded that there is an effect of student learning outcomes after the application of the discovery learning learning model assisted by video implementation of blended learning on the concept of straight motion in high school Keywords: blended learning, discovery learning, high school students. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp385-391

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of implementing e-worksheets on environmentally friendly technology materials with the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) model in improving students' argumentation skills. This study involved 60 grade IX students in a junior high school in South Lampung, Lampung province. The research design used was a non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design with an experimental class of 30 students and a control class of 30 students. Students in the experimental class get learning assisted by e worksheet with the ADI model, while students in the control class are taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The results showed that students who were taught using the e worksheets with the ADI model had a higher N-gain (g=0.61 with medium criteria) than students taught using the PBL model (g=0.17 with low criteria). Furthermore, the effectiveness of learning environmentally friendly technology using the ADI model shows a high category (ES=0.84). This shows that the e-worksheet material on environmentally friendly technology using the ADI model was effective in improving students' argumentation skills. Keywords: e-worksheet, argumentation skills, argument-driven inquiry. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp744-753

Abstract

Digital literacy skills in the era of disruption are needed not only the ability to find, use and disseminate information in learning, but also the ability to make information, critical evaluation, accuracy of the application used and in-depth understanding of the content of the information so as not to cause errors. This study aims to describe the perception and understanding of digital literacy of chemistry teachers at the SMA/MA level in the era of disruption. The method used is descriptive method. The research sample was 23 high school/MA chemistry teachers in the Bogor area who were determined by cluster random sampling. The instruments used consisted of FGD instruments and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. Based on the data, it is known that the perception and understanding of high school/MA chemistry teachers on digital literacy in the era of disruption in the realm of educator competence is 86.40% (Very Good). The results of statistical tests state that there is no significant relationship between years of service, gender, school where they teach, and certification status with the digital literacy competence of chemistry teachers. Keywords: digital literacy, teacher perception, chemistry teacher.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp304-315

Abstract

Educators have been striving to bring to reality learning through playing and fun. It is real obvious that the use of game has brought positive changes to instruction. Therefore, this study investigates the acquisition of graphic skill through creative sorting game among the junior secondary schools. The study employed experimental of pre and post test from quasi, samplings consisted of 69 students of which are 34 male and 35 female students, based on simple random sampling. Two hypotheses were raised and tested with ANOVA and t-test statistical analysis. Findings revealed that creative sorting game was positive in the context of teaching creative arts and it was recommended that the use of creative sorting game should be encouraged in learning among the junior secondary schools in Nigeria. Keywords: creative sorting game, graphical skills, junior high school, quasi experimental design DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v20i2.pp30-38

Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the influence of critical thinking skills, self-efficacy, digital literacy, and internship experience on work readiness among vocational high school students. This research is motivated by the persistently high unemployment rates among vocational graduates in Indonesia, which reflect a gap between the skills acquired in school and those demanded by the job market. of the study involved 143 twelfth-grade students from SMK Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh and employed an explanatory quantitative approach. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3.0. The findings confirmed that the measurement model satisfied the required criteria for reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. The structural model testing indicated that critical thinking skills, self-efficacy, and internship experience significantly and positively influenced work readiness, while digital literacy did not demonstrate significant effect. Furthermore, self-efficacy was found to partially mediate the correlation between critical thinking and internship experience with work readiness, although the effect sizes of these mediations were relatively small. These results emphasize the importance of enhancing critical thinking, building self-efficacy, and improving the quality of internship programs in the industry to increase vocational graduates' employability. The study highlights that fostering these factors in vocational education can better prepare students for the workforce. Future research is recommended to explore additional external factors that may influence work readiness, such as socio-economic status, personal motivation, or family background, and to broaden the sample size to improve the generalizability of the findings to a larger population.    Keywords: critical thinking skills, self-efficacy, digital literacy, industrial internship, students' work readiness.
