Madania: Jurnal Kajian Keislaman is a peer-reviewed international journal focusing on Islamic studies. The journal provides a platform for disseminating the latest research and scholarly discussions on Islam and Muslim culture in a broad sense, encompassing theoretical and empirical investigations of themes relevant to Muslim societies globally and beyond. Madania publishes articles under six main topics: Islamic Law – Discussions on fiqh, legal theory, and contemporary issues in Islamic jurisprudence. Islamic Education – Research on pedagogical theories, practices, and innovations in Islamic education. Islamic Economy – Analyses of Islamic financial systems, economic theories, and practices. Islamic Theology, Philosophy, and Psychology – Studies exploring theological debates, philosophical perspectives, and psychological dimensions of Islamic thought. Islamic Communication – Research on communication ethics, media studies, and the role of communication in Islamic contexts. Study of the Qur’an and Hadith – Investigations of textual analysis, interpretations, and the application of Islamic scriptures. Madania accepts two types of articles: Research Articles: Scholarly reports presenting the results of quantitative or qualitative studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic studies across the six themes. Conceptual Articles: Papers offering theoretical perspectives, models, or philosophical analyses relevant to Islamic studies, engaging with contemporary theories and frameworks. All submissions to Madania undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure high standards of quality and academic integrity. The journal is committed to publishing original, innovative, and impactful research that addresses contemporary challenges in the Islamic world.

Abstract

Globalization poses significant challenges to students' religious identity through the influx of secularism and popular culture. This study aims to identify the role of Islamic education in shaping students' religious identity in the era of globalization. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, this research analyzes relevant literature related to Islamic education, Muslim identity, and globalization. The findings demonstrate that Islamic education can serve as a strategic instrument in strengthening students' religious identity through the internalization of robust moral and religious values. These findings also reveal the importance of adapting Islamic education curricula with approaches responsive to global challenges. This research addresses a gap in previous literature that has not comprehensively integrated the concepts of Islamic education, Muslim identity, and globalization challenges within a single analytical framework. The primary contribution of this study is the development of an adaptive Islamic educational approach model that maintains fundamental values in forming students' Muslim identity amid globalization currents. This research contributes both theoretically and practically by offering solutions to strengthen students' religious identity, while simultaneously providing opportunities for further research development and deeper exploration. Globalisasi membawa tantangan besar terhadap identitas keagamaan siswa melalui arus nilai-nilai sekularisme dan budaya populer. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi peran pendidikan Islam dalam membentuk identitas keagamaan siswa di era globalisasi. Menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR), penelitian ini menganalisis literatur yang relevan terkait pendidikan Islam, identitas Muslim, dan globalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam mampu menjadi instrumen strategis dalam memperkuat identitas keagamaan siswa melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai moral dan agama yang kokoh. Temuan ini juga mengungkapkan pentingnya adaptasi kurikulum pendidikan Islam dengan pendekatan yang responsif terhadap tantangan global. Penelitian ini mengisi kesenjangan dalam literatur sebelumnya yang belum secara komprehensif mengintegrasikan konsep pendidikan Islam, identitas Muslim, dan tantangan globalisasi dalam satu kerangka analitis. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah pengembangan model pendekatan pendidikan Islam yang adaptif namun tetap mempertahankan nilai-nilai fundamental dalam membentuk identitas Muslim siswa di tengah arus globalisasi. Penelitian ini berkontribusi secara teoritis dan praktis dalam menawarkan solusi untuk memperkuat identitas keagamaan siswa, sekaligus memberikan peluang pengembangan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk eksplorasi yang lebih mendalam.

Abstract

This article examines the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in Islamic education as a response to the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital era. Using a qualitative library research method, the study explores literature related to the integration of technology within Islamic educational systems. AI is considered capable of improving educational quality through personalized learning approaches, technology-based curriculum development, and enhanced administrative efficiency. In this context, AI can enrich the learning experience by supporting interactive, flexible, and student-centered education. However, the implementation of AI also faces various challenges, including infrastructure limitations, insufficient teacher training, and ethical issues such as the protection of students' personal data. The study finds that the integration of AI into Islamic education in Indonesia has already begun in several institutions, although its adoption remains uneven. Therefore, supportive policies, targeted training programs, and cross-sector collaboration among government bodies, educational institutions, and technology developers are essential. In conclusion, AI holds significant potential to improve the effectiveness of Islamic education, but its implementation must be approached with caution to ensure alignment with Islamic moral and ethical values. This article provides strategic recommendations to encourage the ethical, adaptive, and sustainable use of AI in the Islamic education ecosystem. Artikel ini mengkaji penerapan kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence/AI) dalam pendidikan Islam sebagai respons terhadap tantangan dan peluang di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka kualitatif dengan menelaah literatur yang membahas integrasi teknologi dalam sistem pendidikan Islam. AI dinilai mampu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pendekatan yang dipersonalisasi, pengembangan kurikulum berbasis teknologi, serta efisiensi dalam manajemen pendidikan. Dalam konteks ini, AI dapat memperkaya proses pembelajaran yang interaktif, fleksibel, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Namun, implementasi AI juga menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, minimnya pelatihan bagi pendidik, serta isu etika dan perlindungan data pribadi peserta didik. Studi ini menemukan bahwa integrasi AI dalam pendidikan Islam di Indonesia telah dimulai di sejumlah lembaga pendidikan, namun penerapannya masih belum merata. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan kebijakan yang mendukung, program pelatihan, serta kolaborasi lintas sektor antara pemerintah, institusi pendidikan, dan pengembang teknologi. Kesimpulannya, AI memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan Islam, namun implementasinya harus dilakukan secara bijak agar tetap sejalan dengan nilai-nilai moral dan etika Islam. Artikel ini menawarkan rekomendasi strategis guna mendorong pemanfaatan AI secara etis, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan dalam ekosistem pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the educational development strategies in fostering student independence at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, MAN 1 Ciamis during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the oldest of Islamic education in Indonesia, pesantren faced a dual challenge: maintaining the continuity of character education while ensuring the health and safety of students. A descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that leaders and religious teachers fostered independence by habituating students to daily religious and educational activities, such as congregational prayers, recitations, self-reliance tasks, and instilling religious values. The learning objectives targeted students' responsibility, discipline, initiative, and integrity. Teaching methods included sorogan, bandungan, lectures, discussions, modeling, habituation, and the use of rewards and punishments. During the pandemic, the school formed an internal task force to maintain health protocols. As a result, students demonstrated positive changes, including improved independence, discipline, learning motivation, and environmental awareness. The study recommends strengthening religious routines and active mentor involvement to support student independence in the new normal era. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengembangan pendidikan pesantren dalam membina kemandirian santri di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam MAN 1 Ciamis selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tertua di Indonesia memiliki tantangan ganda, yaitu mempertahankan keberlangsungan pendidikan karakter sambil memastikan kesehatan santri Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pimpinan dan guru agama menerapkan pembinaan kemandirian santri melalui pembiasaan kegiatan harian seperti shalat berjamaah, pengajian, tugas mandiri, serta penerapan nilai-nilai religius dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan pembelajaran diarahkan agar santri mampu bertanggung jawab terhadap diri sendiri, memiliki inisiatif, kedisiplinan, dan integritas dalam menjalani kehidupan. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan antara lain: sorogan, bandungan, ceramah, diskusi, keteladanan, habituasi, serta reward dan punishment. Di masa pandemi, pesantren juga membentuk gugus tugas internal untuk menjaga protokol kesehatan. Hasilnya, santri menunjukkan perubahan positif berupa peningkatan kemandirian, kedisiplinan, motivasi belajar, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pembiasaan religius dan keterlibatan aktif pembimbing untuk mendukung kemandirian santri di masa adaptasi kebiasaan baru.

Abstract

The conflict resolution method employed by the Prophet Muhammad SAW in fostering peace remains effective to this day in addressing disputes between groups. As the primary actor, mediator, and participant in conflicts, the Prophet Muhammad SAW exemplified a solution-oriented and humanistic approach. His methodology emphasized problem-solving by ensuring justice and balancing the interests of all parties involved. This study examines the extent to which the conflict resolution approach of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was implemented in promoting peace in Balinuraga Village, Way Panji District, South Lampung, following an inter-group conflict. A key reference during the Prophet’s era was the Medina Charter, which enshrines foundational principles for coexistence, including justice, protection of human rights, interfaith tolerance, and equality before the law irrespective of ethnicity, religion, or social status. Moreover, the spirit of pluralism introduced by the Prophet Muhammad SAW through the Medina Charter serves as a crucial basis for constructing a peaceful and inclusive society. In contemporary contexts, pluralism can only thrive when underpinned by principles of tolerance, anti-discrimination, legal fairness, and non-violence. Exclusive mindsets and attitudes often incite provocations that lead to communal and separatist conflicts, thus necessitating a counterbalance of solidarity and empathy, particularly towards vulnerable groups or victims of violence. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana metode resolusi konflik yang dipraktikkan oleh Rasulullah SAW dapat diimplementasikan dalam menciptakan perdamaian di Desa Balinuraga, Kecamatan Way Panji, Lampung Selatan, pascakonflik antarkelompok. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah menganalisis relevansi prinsip-prinsip perdamaian Rasulullah SAW, khususnya yang tercermin dalam Piagam Madinah, dalam konteks sosial dan kultural masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap tokoh masyarakat, aparat desa, dan korban konflik. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif-analitik untuk mengidentifikasi kesesuaian nilai-nilai resolusi konflik Rasulullah SAW dengan praktik lokal dalam membangun harmoni pascakonflik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai dalam Piagam Madinah seperti keadilan, perlindungan hak, toleransi antaragama, serta persamaan di hadapan hukum menjadi inspirasi dalam proses rekonsiliasi di Balinuraga. Pendekatan inklusif dan humanis yang menekankan keadilan restoratif terbukti mampu meredam konflik lanjutan dan membangun kembali kepercayaan antarkelompok. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan model resolusi konflik berbasis nilai-nilai Islam yang kontekstual, serta memperkuat pentingnya semangat pluralisme, anti-diskriminasi, dan solidaritas sosial dalam membangun perdamaian berkelanjutan di masyarakat multikultural.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of character education in higher education in forming students' identity, independence, and responsibility, as well as integrating Pancasila values to enhance the quality of human resources. This study employs a field research design with a grounded theory approach. The participants in this study are lecturers from the Islamic Education program (PAI) at the Faculty of Education/Tarbiyah at IAIN Curup. The primary data sources are lecturers teaching Hadith Tarbawi and students from the PAI program, while secondary data includes lesson plans (RPS), books, and other written materials related to the research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. Data analysis techniques involve open coding, axial coding, selective coding, and memoing. The results of this study indicate that the "Hadith Tarbawi Learning Model" is designed to integrate Islamic teachings with Pancasila values, aiming to shape character. This model emphasizes the use of hadith, the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, as a source of moral and ethical guidance in education. By focusing on character development, this model seeks to instill values such as honesty, justice, cooperation, and wisdom, which align with Pancasila principles. This approach involves various collaborative and interactive learning methods, such as problem-based learning, discussions, and group activities, to foster a deep understanding and internalization of these values among students. This educational approach not only enhances academic abilities but also strives to cultivate graduates who are ethically grounded and capable of positively impacting society. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran pendidikan karakter di perguruan tinggi dalam membentuk identitas, kemandirian, tanggung jawab siswa, dan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan grounded theory. Subyek penelitian adalah dosen Prodi PAI Fakultas Tarbiyah IAIN Curup. Sumber data primer dosen yang mengajar hadist tarbawi dan mahasiswa Prodi PAI dan data sekunder adalah RPS (Rencana Pembelajaran Semester), buku-buku dan bahan tulisan lain yang terkait penelitian. Tekhik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta studi literatur. Tekhnik analisa data yaitu: pengekodean terbuka, pengkodean berporos, pengkode yang terpilih, dan pememoan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan “Model Pembelajaran Hadis Tarbawi” dirancang untuk mengintegrasikan ajaran Islam dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila, yang bertujuan untuk membentuk karakter. Model ini menekankan penggunaan hadis, yang merupakan ucapan dan tindakan Nabi Muhammad SAW, sebagai sumber bimbingan moral dan etika pendidikan. Dengan berfokus pada pengembangan karakter, model ini berusaha menanamkan nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, keadilan, kerja sama, dan kebijaksanaan, yang selaras dengan prinsip Pancasila. Pendekatan ini melibatkan berbagai metode pembelajaran kolaboratif dan interaktif, seperti pembelajaran berbasis masalah, diskusi, dan kegiatan kelompok, untuk menumbuhkan pemahaman yang mendalam dan internalisasi nilai-nilai ini di antara mahasiswa. Strategi pendidikan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi akademik tetapi juga bertujuan menghasilkan lulusan yang berlandaskan secara moral dan mampu berkontribusi positif kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Critical reasoning is one of the essential competencies crucial for enhancing the quality of human resources. However, in reality, many students still struggle to develop critical thinking skills due to inadequate learning approaches. This study aims to develop students' critical reasoning through the implementation of the inductive thinking model, which emphasizes the reasoning process from specific observations toward general understanding. This model encourages students to actively observe, analyze, draw conclusions, and build concepts based on concrete data. The research employed a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were collected from various scientific literatures such as journals, books, and previous relevant research on inductive learning and critical reasoning. The findings show that the application of the inductive thinking model significantly improves students' critical reasoning abilities. Active student engagement in the learning process and the teacher's role as a facilitator and discussion director are key success factors. The conclusion affirms that developing critical reasoning through the inductive approach is an effective and relevant strategy for modern educational settings. The implication is the need for innovative, student-centered learning models that foster active interaction to nurture a critically minded and solution-oriented generation. Penalaran kritis merupakan salah satu kompetensi utama yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Namun, kenyataannya, banyak siswa masih kesulitan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis karena pendekatan pembelajaran yang belum memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan penalaran kritis siswa melalui penerapan model berpikir induktif yang menekankan proses berpikir dari hal-hal khusus menuju pemahaman umum. Dengan model ini, siswa didorong untuk aktif mengamati, menganalisis, menyimpulkan, dan membangun konsep berdasarkan data konkret. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai literatur ilmiah seperti jurnal, buku, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dengan topik pembelajaran berpikir induktif dan penalaran kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model berpikir induktif secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran kritis siswa. Keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran serta peran guru sebagai fasilitator dan pengarah diskusi menjadi kunci keberhasilan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pengembangan penalaran kritis melalui pendekatan induktif merupakan strategi yang efektif dan relevan untuk diterapkan dalam konteks pembelajaran modern. Implikasinya, dibutuhkan inovasi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa dan mendorong interaksi aktif demi mencetak generasi yang berpikir kritis dan solutif.

Abstract

This study addresses the urgent need to counter religious radicalization by examining how religiosity, academic culture, and learning environments shape moderate Muslim character among Indonesian graduate students, aligning with national and global peacebuilding goals. Using a quantitative approach, data from 147 postgraduate students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung were analyzed via Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). Results revealed significant positive effects of religiosity (β = 0.41, p < 0.001), academic culture (β = 0.34, p = 0.001), and learning environment (β = 0.22, p = 0.003) on fostering moderation, collectively explaining 53.9% of its variance. Religiosity emerged as the strongest predictor, underscoring its role in cultivating inclusive attitudes, while academic practices (e.g., critical discourse) and supportive learning settings reinforced tolerance and anti-violence values. The findings propose an integrated model where spiritual, intellectual, and environmental dimensions synergize to nurture moderation, offering actionable insights for educators and policymakers to design holistic strategies against extremism. However, the single-institution sample limits generalizability, necessitating future studies across diverse universities and, qualitative explorations of contextual factors like socio-economic dynamics or media influence. By bridging theoretical and practical gaps, this research advocates harmonizing higher education systems to empower moderate Muslim leaders, advancing Indonesia’s multicultural harmony and contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on peace. The study underscores the imperative of embedding inclusive pedagogies and values-driven academic cultures to sustain social cohesion in pluralistic societies. Penelitian ini merespons kebutuhan mendesak dalam mengatasi radikalisasi agama dengan menelaah kontribusi religiusitas, budaya akademik, dan lingkungan pembelajaran dalam pembentukan karakter Muslim moderat di kalangan mahasiswa pascasarjana, sejalan dengan upaya perdamaian nasional dan global. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dari 147 mahasiswa UIN Raden Intan Lampung dianalisis melalui Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). Hasil menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan religiusitas (β = 0,41, p < 0,001), budaya akademik (β = 0,34, p = 0,001), dan lingkungan pembelajaran (β = 0,22, p = 0,003) terhadap pembentukan sikap moderat, secara kolektif menjelaskan 53,9% varian. Religiusitas menjadi prediktor terkuat, menegaskan perannya dalam menumbuhkan inklusivitas, sementara praktik akademik (misal: diskursus kritis) dan lingkungan belajar kolaboratif memperkuat nilai toleransi dan anti-kekerasan. Temuan ini menyajikan model terintegrasi yang mensinergikan dimensi spiritual, intelektual, dan lingkungan untuk mendorong moderasi, memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang strategi holistik melawan ekstremisme. Namun, sampel terbatas pada satu institusi mengurangi generalisasi, sehingga penelitian lanjutan perlu mencakup universitas beragam dan mengeksplorasi faktor kontekstual (seperti dinamika sosio-ekonomi atau pengaruh media) secara kualitatif. Dengan menjembatani kesenjangan teoritis dan praktis, penelitian ini mendorong harmonisasi sistem pendidikan tinggi untuk memberdayakan pemimpin Muslim moderat, mendukung harmoni multikultural Indonesia dan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (TPB) tentang perdamaian. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya mengintegrasikan pedagogi inklusif dan budaya akademik berbasis nilai guna memelihara kohesi sosial di masyarakat majemuk.

Abstract

Radicalism is a central concern in the perspective of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (ASWAJA) as upheld by Nahdlatul Ulama. Countering radicalism can begin within the family, which serves as the primary educational institution in preparing a future generation of Muslims who are moderate and tolerant. The values of Aswaja an-Nahdliyah are internalized within the family through daily religious rituals, value habituation, and parental role modeling. This study aims to describe the implementation of Aswaja an-Nahdliyah values in family life as a strategic effort to prevent radical ideologies. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research provides descriptive insights based on participants' lived experiences. Data were analyzed through the stages of collection, reduction, presentation, conclusion, and verification. The findings indicate that the application of Aswaja an-Nahdliyah values in the family includes: (1) monotheism education (tauhid), (2) reinforcement of worship practices, (3) character development, (4) love of knowledge, (5) instilling the value of social solidarity (ukhuwah), (6) respect for tradition and local wisdom, (7) resilience and balance, and (8) empathy and compassion. It is concluded that family-based education rooted in Aswaja an-Nahdliyah values significantly contributes to the early prevention of radical ideologies. Radikalisme merupakan isu sentral dalam pandangan Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (ASWAJA) Nahdlatul Ulama. Menangkal radikalisme dapat dimulai dari keluarga sebagai lembaga pendidikan pertama dalam mempersiapkan generasi Islam masa depan yang moderat dan toleran. Pendidikan nilai-nilai Aswaja an-Nahdiyah dalam keluarga terinternalisasi melalui aktivitas ritual keagamaan, pembiasaan nilai, dan keteladanan orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguraikan implementasi nilai-nilai Aswaja an-Nahdliyah dalam lingkungan keluarga sebagai strategi pencegahan terhadap paham radikal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis yang menggambarkan keadaan secara deskriptif berdasarkan pengalaman hidup partisipan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai Aswaja an-Nahdliyah dalam keluarga mencakup: (1) pendidikan tauhid, (2) penguatan nilai-nilai ibadah, (3) pembentukan akhlak, (4) kecintaan pada ilmu pengetahuan, (5) penanaman nilai ukhuwah, (6) penghormatan terhadap tradisi dan kearifan lokal, (7) keteguhan dan keseimbangan, serta (8) sikap empati dan kasih sayang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan keluarga yang berbasis nilai-nilai Aswaja an-Nahdliyah memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam mencegah tumbuhnya paham radikalisme sejak dini.

Abstract

Environmental education is key in promoting environmental literacy, but integrating religious principles in education for sustainability remains under-researched. This study examines the role of tauhid-based environmental literacy in Islamic education, focusing on its effectiveness in shaping students' environmental awareness. The study used a qualitative approach involving interviews, observations and document analysis in three Islamic primary schools known for their commitment to the environment. The results showed that integrating Islamic theological teachings with environmental literacy significantly increased students' awareness and responsibility towards the environment. The main mechanisms are theological teaching, experiential learning, and institutional support, strengthening sustainability practices together. However, challenges such as the lack of a structured curriculum, resources, and inconsistent institutional support hinder the full implementation of faith-based environmental education. Compared to secular models, tauhid-centered sustainability education offers a holistic approach that integrates ethical, spiritual and scientific aspects and promotes long-term behavioral change. This research contributes to the broader debate on faith-based environmental education by providing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of religion-integrated sustainability education. Future research should explore curriculum development and policy integration to institutionalize tauhid-based environmental literacy, ensuring its long-term impact in different educational contexts. Pendidikan lingkungan memiliki peran krusial dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran ekologi, namun integrasi prinsip berbasis agama dalam pembelajaran keberlanjutan masih kurang dieksplorasi. Studi ini menelaah peran literasi ekologi berbasis tauhid dalam pendidikan Islam, dengan fokus pada efektivitasnya dalam membentuk kesadaran lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen di tiga sekolah dasar Islam yang diakui atas komitmennya terhadap lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ajaran teologi Islam dengan literasi ekologi secara signifikan meningkatkan kesadaran dan tanggung jawab lingkungan siswa. Mekanisme utama yang mendukung hal ini mencakup pengajaran teologis, pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, dan dukungan institusional yang secara kolektif memperkuat praktik keberlanjutan. Namun, tantangan seperti kurangnya kurikulum yang terstruktur, keterbatasan sumber daya, dan dukungan institusional yang tidak konsisten masih menghambat implementasi penuh pendidikan ekologi berbasis agama. Dibandingkan dengan model sekuler, pendidikan keberlanjutan berbasis tauhid menawarkan pendekatan holistik yang menggabungkan dimensi etika, spiritual, dan ilmiah, serta mendorong perubahan perilaku jangka panjang. Studi ini berkontribusi pada diskursus lebih luas mengenai pendidikan lingkungan berbasis agama dengan memberikan bukti empiris tentang efektivitas pembelajaran keberlanjutan yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Penelitian selanjutnya perlu mengeksplorasi pengembangan kurikulum dan integrasi kebijakan untuk menginstitusionalisasikan literasi ekologi berbasis tauhid, guna memastikan dampak jangka panjang dalam berbagai konteks pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the input, process, output, outcome, and contextualization of Yusuf al-Qardhawi’s concept of moral education within the framework of Indonesia’s character educatio. Data were collected from books, journals, articles, videos, and especially Yusuf al-Qardhawi’s works on moral education, using qualitative content analysis. The findings reveal that moral education consists of both software and hardware. The software includes a curriculum emphasizing morality toward Allah, the Prophet, oneself, other creatures, and the state, supported by both soft skills and hard skills activities. The hardware consists of teachers and students, with teachers expected to possess pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competencies, strengthened through prayer, dhikr, and advice. The process is carried out through structured lesson planning that integrates materials, syllabi, teaching modules, media, methods, and facilities into the lesson plan (RPP), while learning activities cover opening to closing stages with appropriate methods, assessments, and classroom management. The output and outcome of Yusuf al-Qardhawi’s moral education are students who have faith and piety to Allah, love the Prophet, show noble character toward others, and respect all creation. In its contextualization, this study highlights that Yusuf al-Qardhawi’s moral values, such as compassion, humility, sincerity, patience, justice, moderation (wasathiyah), and balance (tawazun), are strongly relevant to character education in Indonesia. These values align with key traits promoted nationally, including religiosity, honesty, discipline, creativity, tolerance, democracy, nationalism, patriotism, respect, peace, and environmental care. The study affirms that Yusuf al-Qardhawi’s ideas provide a valuable contribution to strengthening character education in Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis input, proses, output, outcome, dan kontekstualisasi konsep pendidikan moral Yusuf al-Qaradawi dalam kerangka pendidikan karakter di Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan dari buku, jurnal, artikel, video, dan terutama karya-karya al-Qardhawi tentang pendidikan moral, dengan menggunakan analisis isi kualitatif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan moral terdiri atas perangkat lunak (software) dan perangkat keras (hardware). Perangkat lunak mencakup kurikulum yang menekankan moralitas terhadap Allah, Nabi, diri sendiri, makhluk lain, dan negara, yang didukung oleh kegiatan soft skills dan hard skills.Perangkat keras terdiri atas guru dan peserta didik, di mana guru diharapkan memiliki kompetensi pedagogis, personal, sosial, dan profesional, yang diperkuat melalui doa, dzikir, dan nasihat. Proses dilaksanakan melalui perencanaan pembelajaran yang terstruktur dengan mengintegrasikan materi, silabus, modul ajar, media, metode, dan sarana ke dalam RPP, sementara kegiatan pembelajaran mencakup tahap pembukaan hingga penutupan dengan metode, penilaian, dan manajemen kelas. Output dan outcome dari pendidikan moral Yusuf al-Qardhawi adalah peserta didik yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Allah, mencintai Nabi, berakhlak mulia terhadap sesama, serta menghormati seluruh ciptaan. Dalam konteks kontekstualisasi, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa nilai-nilai moral Yusuf al-Qardhawi, seperti kasih sayang, kerendahan hati, ketulusan, kesabaran, keadilan, moderasi (wasathiyah), dan keseimbangan (tawazun), sangat relevan dengan pendidikan karakter di Indonesia. Nilai-nilai tersebut selaras dengan karakter utama yang dikembangkan secara nasional, termasuk religiusitas, kejujuran, kedisiplinan, kreativitas, toleransi, demokrasi, nasionalisme, patriotisme, sikap hormat, cinta damai, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa gagasan Yusuf al-Qaradawi memberikan kontribusi berharga dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter di Indonesia.
