Abstract

This Community service program aims to strengthen the Buddhist community's religious, cultural, and spiritual values by implementing Pabbajjā and Upasampadā at Muaro Jambi Temple, a historic Buddhist heritage site in Indonesia. The program is motivated by the need for a learning medium integrating Buddhist teachings with direct experience in a religious and cultural environment. The implementation adopted a participatory and collaborative approach, engaging participants particularly university students in ritual activities, Dharma discussions, and the practice of moral precepts (sīla). The selection of Muaro Jambi Temple also served as a strategy to revitalize the site’s function as a center for spiritual cultivation and cultural preservation. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of the Dharma, adherence to moral precepts, and awareness of the importance of Buddhist cultural heritage. The program fostered the development of religious character and cultural identity, enhancing participants’ commitment to preserving the noble values of Buddhism within the local context. Furthermore, it opened opportunities for the development of history-based religious tourism. In conclusion, this PKM effectively integrates religious education, character building, and cultural preservation. Its sustainability requires multi-stakeholder support to ensure that the values, history, and spirituality of the Nusantara heritage are preserved authentically and meaningfully.

Abstract

This Science and Technology for the Community aims to develop the Tosan Aji Craftsman Village in Pasir Wetan Village, Banyumas. Building a craftsman village is increasingly urgent to preserve the ancestral heritage of Khudi, a tool and heirloom typical of the Banyumas people, so that it continues to exist, even to be developed as an economically valuable heritage. This Science and Technology for the Community uses a participatory action research approach by involving craftsmen, community leaders, and the village government. Data collection techniques were carried out using field observation techniques and in-depth interviews with craftsmen. The community also conducted workshops and mentoring training. The IbM results show that, to revive the Tosan Aji MSME, craftsmen need training in contemporary tosan aji making techniques that combine contemporary equipment with modern equipment. Craftsmen need assistance in creating e-commerce and digital promotional content. It is possible for these Tosan Aji craftsmen to become more advanced if their lives are packaged in an educational tourism package that includes a tosan aji making workshop, even the creation of a mini museum.

Abstract

Perundungan (bullying) pada jenjang pendidikan dasar berdampak langsung pada kesejahteraan psikologis, iklim kelas, dan capaian belajar siswa. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan mengintegrasikan pencegahan dan penanganan perundungan ke dalam kurikulum satuan pendidikan dasar melalui penguatan kompetensi guru, pengembangan perangkat ajar berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka, serta kolaborasi orang tua–komunitas. Metode meliputi lokakarya desain pembelajaran, penyusunan modul tematik lintas mata pelajaran, pelatihan restoratif (restorative practices), kampanye siswa (student-led campaign), dan sistem rujukan kasus berbasis sekolah. Evaluasi menggunakan pra–pasca asesmen guru, observasi pembelajaran, audit perangkat ajar, serta rekap insiden dan persepsi iklim sekolah. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam mengenali/merespons perundungan, bertambahnya praktik pembelajaran sosial-emosional (PSE), dan penurunan laporan insiden di kelas yang mengadopsi strategi secara konsisten. Pembahasan menekankan pentingnya integrasi eksplisit pada tujuan pembelajaran, asesmen formatif nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila, serta tata kelola sekolah yang selaras dengan kebijakan pencegahan kekerasan. Disimpulkan bahwa integrasi kurikuler—bukan sekadar kegiatan insidental—lebih berkelanjutan dalam memitigasi perundungan. Disarankan penguatan monitoring berbasis data, pelibatan orang tua secara sistematis, dan dukungan kebijakan sekolah yang konsisten.

Abstract

  The ability to speak English is very important, especially for coastal communities such as those on Tegal Island, which has tourism potential. However, students at the Pesona Pulau Tegal Community Learning Center (PKBM) still have difficulty communicating, especially in English, because learning has tended to be conventional, focusing on memorization and grammar rather than practical communication. This creates a gap between the need for speaking skills and the teaching methods used, reinforcing students' fear and lack of confidence. Based on these issues, this Community Service activity aims to improve students' speaking skills through the application of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method integrated with the Playful English approach, which involves enjoyable learning through games, role-play, and creative activities. The methods used include guided speaking exercises, conversation simulations, and collaborative projects such as creating promotional posters for beach tourism in English. The results show a significant improvement in students' fluency, confidence, and active participation. Students began to speak more boldly, practice simple sentences, and express ideas spontaneously. The classroom atmosphere became livelier and more enjoyable with minimal psychological barriers such as fear of making mistakes. The implications of this activity are that the CLT approach combined with elements of joy can serve as an effective learning model in non-formal institutions. This method not only enhances language skills but also empowers students socially and emotionally, and can be replicated in similar communities.

Abstract

Fernando BSM U-19 players continue to experience confusion in implementing defensive collaboration, which hinders their ability to execute defensive strategies effectively. This coaching clinic activity aims to facilitate coaches and players in understanding, implementing, and developing defensive system patterns, particularly mixed defense patterns in futsal. This community service was carried out through three meetings, beginning with a pre-test in the form of a questionnaire containing 15 questions regarding defensive pattern strategies. After the coaching clinic, a similar questionnaire was administered again as a post-test. The results of the activity showed an increase in understanding of up to 80% among players and coaches after participating in the training. This finding confirms that the coaching clinic method is able to deliver material systematically and easily understood, so it can be an effective alternative strategy in improving the understanding of defensive tactics in futsal.

Abstract

Parents, especially mothers, have taught the ability to speak good and correct Indonesian since early childhood. However, many still do not understand affixes in Indonesian vocabulary. In the school environment, Indonesian is a mandatory subject that students must study at every grade level in elementary school. Affixes in a sentence can provide and change the meaning and function of the sentence and the type of sentence itself. Affixes are used and adjusted to the sentences or specific paragraphs used. The purpose of the community service conducted by the KKM 41group students of Universitas Bina Bangsa, is to convey the knowledge they have acquired at the campus. The method used in this service is to educate elementary school students about affixes to improve their Indonesian language skills. The result of this service is that the students have a better understanding of learning affixes and practice directly by taking a test to assess their knowledge, with the test results being excellent.

Abstract

This activity aims to foster children’s literacy as an effort to enhance inspiration at SDN Cikoneng, Tugu Utara Village, Cisarua Sub-district, Bogor Regency. Children’s literacy is considered a key factor in developing critical and creative thinking skills that can influence their personal and academic growth. Through approaches involving various reading, writing, and discussion activities, this literacy program is expected to encourage students’ motivation and inspiration to further develop their potential. This activity examines various methods applied in literacy practices, such as providing engaging reading materials, training in creative writing skills, and organizing interactive discussions that actively involve students. The expected outcomes include an increased interest in reading and writing, as well as the formation of positive attitudes toward the learning process, which can have a long-term impact on students’ academic and character development. The findings of this study provide insights into the importance of literacy as a means to improve the quality of education at the elementary level, as well as a source of inspiration for students to achieve their best potential.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di pemukiman nelayan Desa Glumpang Sulu Timu, Aceh Utara, dengan tema “Pemberdayaan Ibu dalam Pemanfaatan Lahan Sempit untuk Peningkatan Gizi Keluarga”. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah permasalahan gizi masyarakat pesisir yang disebabkan rendahnya diversifikasi pangan, terbatasnya akses terhadap sayuran dan buah, serta minimnya pengetahuan mengenai gizi seimbang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi gizi, pelatihan teknik pertanian di lahan sempit (vertikultur, hidroponik sederhana, penanaman dalam pot/polybag), pendampingan lapangan, serta pembentukan kelompok swadaya ibu-ibu. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 95% peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman tentang gizi seimbang, 85% menguasai minimal dua teknik bercocok tanam, dan 75% berhasil memanfaatkan pekarangan sempit untuk menanam 4–6 jenis sayuran. Selain itu, terbentuk kelompok swadaya ibu-ibu bernama “KWT Sejahtera Glumpang Sulu Timu” yang berfungsi menjaga keberlanjutan praktik. Program ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta ketersediaan pangan lokal, sekaligus berkontribusi pada diversifikasi gizi keluarga dan kemandirian pangan rumah tangga.

Abstract

The seminar titled Visual Discourse in Marketing UMKM Products held in Sukajadi Village, Lemahsugih District, aimed to enhance local entrepreneurs’ understanding of visual communication strategies in product marketing. This initiative responded to the limited use of visual elements such as packaging design, symbols, and graphic narratives that reflect local identity and influence consumer perception. Through a participatory approach, participants were introduced to the basics of visual discourse, practiced culturally rooted design techniques, and simulated digital promotional content. Monitoring was conducted through direct observation and feedback, while evaluation involved pre-tests, post-tests, and analysis of participants’ design outputs. Results showed a significant improvement in visual literacy and readiness to redesign product packaging more effectively. The seminar laid a foundation for building a creative and context-sensitive UMKM ecosystem, where visual elements serve as key tools to strengthen product identity, cultural relevance, and market competitiveness.

Abstract

Perawatan luka merupakan cara pertolongan pertama dalam pencegahan infeksi dan permasalahan lanjut, dengan perawatan luka yang baik bisa mencegah terjadi trauma lanjutan, cara membersikan luka sangat penting diajarkan kepada siswa biar ketika mendapatkan kasus cedera bisa melakukan perawatan luka secara mandiri, pembidaian ini efektif untuk mencegah dari efek yang negatif karena dengan pembidaian akan membantu tulang tidak tergesek dan meminimal terjadinya nyeri karena terkilir acara melakukan pembidaian yang tepat harus dipahami oleh siswa agar mudah dalam melakukannya di lingkungan sekolah, ambulasi merupakan proses memindahkan orang yang mengalami kecelakan terutama siswa sekolah. Namun hasil observasi banyak siswa yang belum memahami dan belum bisa melakukan cara perawatan luka, pembidaian dan ambulasi yang benar ini karena ini karena belum ada pelatihan pada siswa. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah universitas Abulyatama dan SDN 2 Banda Aceh. Jumlah peserta dalam kegiatan ini sebanyak 50 siswa dan siswi. Media yang digunakan power point, proyektor, alat peraga, leaflet. Tahapkan kegiatan adalah pertama penyampaian materi, demonstrasi oleh tim dan dosen selanjutnya demonstrasi siswa di akhiri dengan sesi tanya jawab serta poto bersama. Hasil pengabdian didapatkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap dalam melakukan pertolongan pertama pada siswa dan siswi jika terjadi kasus luka atau terkilir dan memahami bagaimana memindahkan temanya dari suatu tempat ke tempat yang lebih aman. Kesimpulan bahwa sosialiasi ini sangat baik untuk menangani keadaan kesehatan yang dialami pada saat itu. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini berjalan lancar dan memberikan dampak yang positif bagi guru dan siswa. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan untuk melatih siswa agar bisa melakukan pertolongan pertama secara mandiri.
